I received a notice for the recall. Months ago( 3+), they ask me to wait but nothing, i called twice but they said they don't have the parts and they don't know when are they going to received. How long i have to wait?

Takata recall - received recall notice july 2016. As of feb 27, 2017 no one at the dealership, or lexus corporate can give any guidance on timetable for replacement, or if any lexus models have been repaired. When will i hear timetable? lexus is selling new models of the same car, why not replace defective part with new car part?

Takata recallpart is not available. Put on wait list. Until the remedy is performed, they recommend not to operate the vehicle with passenger front seat. It's very inconvenient as we are family of 4!!!!

Takata recall.. My airbags have not been replaced nor have the manufacture attempted to replace them

Dissatisfied with the amount of time that has been given to toyota/takata. This has been going on for months and we still have not been told when the airbags will be replaced. Telling is not to have anyone ride in the passenger seat of the car is not an option all the time.

Takata recall. I"m extremely concerned about the air bag recall. As i am unable to utilize my vehicle to it's fullest extent without fear of injury or even death to myself and passengers.

There is still no remedy available for my car.i live in zone 1!my car is nine years old and still lexus has not made an airbag replacement for any of the es models!why?other car manufacturers have fixed their cars.not acceptable.nhsta needs to get on lexus/toyota to get this done.this is beyond ridiculous.this is my teenagers car.how many more deaths do we need in order to get this done?until lexus is forced to comply in a reasonable time, they will not.we are getting close to a year now.unacceptable!!!!

Takata recall.i have tried calling the general manager of mcgrath lexus in westmont illinois twice.his name is [xxx] regarding this recall.he refuses to call me back or answer any calls.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall:received the recall notice in may 2016. Told not to use passenger seat and it is now november 22, 2016 with no "remedy" available yet.i blame takata but am very frustrated that this very serious recall has not been corrected yet. I don't let anyone sit in the passenger seat and we are in texas and supposedly going to be in the first group receiving the fix.

Takata recall, tamara inflators. On june 9, the notice cametold not use the frontpassengerseat. It is nowjan. 23, 2017 and the dealer continues to put off the replacement of the unsafe parts. This is unreasonable as we are unable to use the car i transporting grandchildren and even go out to dinner with friends. Why?

My driver side door was hit by someone going approximately 40 mph as i turned a corner going 5 mph.the impact threw me approximately 100 feet into a block wall and not one single airbag deployed.my head broke the driver door window....updated 07/30/15

Head on crash at 35-40 mph. On frisco, tx city street.frontal airbags did not deploy.no airbags deployed

Takata recall:i contacted the dealer i purchased the car from 2 times in the past 4 months, most recently on october 25, 2017 and was told that they have still have not received the parts.i believe this may be the case because takata and its affiliates are now in chapter 11. No one there can tell me anything about the timeframe for the parts being delivered to the service department at the lexus of rockville centre in rockville centre, ny.the recall notice was issued in january 2017.hundreds if not thousands of consumers like myself are driving with air bags that can explode and potential kill the car's occupants.

Takata recall "recall incomplete remedy not yet available" as a result of this recall our passenger seat is not available for safe transport of passengers.

Takata airbag - this vehicle was purchased in florida in 2007 and has been driven in a hot humid climate ever since. We were notified in june of the recall and since then, lexus have been unable to provide the part or fix the problem. It needs to be addressed now.

Takata recall: i was notified nearly a year ago of the safety recall required on my lexus.i have called 4-5 times over the past 12 months but have yet to be contacted by my dealership regarding replacing the airbag. What is the recourse for having this work done?is the dealer my only recourse?i have little doubt that they are responding to those customers who purchased their vehicles from the dealership (a friend of mine had the recall work done several months ago).this is an extreme inconvenience as i am unable to use the passenger seat of my vehicle, for nearly a year.what can i do?

Still no remedy for the passenger side airbag.this is ridiculous that it would take almost a year and still nothing yet!they seem to have enough airbags for the new cars they are making.lets fix the bad airbags first before anyone else gets killed!come on nhtsa lets get on toyota and make them get this done.

I received noticed of the nhtsa recall 16v-340 in may of 2016.ten months later lexus still does not have the parts at dealers to get this fixed.this is unacceptable.

Takara recall airbagsdashboard

Takata recall, it has five months since i received the recall regarding the defective airbag. I have not seen nor read about any progress update on getting this resolved.

Takata recalli received a letter dated may 23, 2016 indicating that the front passenger airbag inflator on my 2008 lexus es 350 needs to be replaced.i live in zone a, the highest risk area.i have called three times over the past 10 months to my local lexus dealers, and their response has been "we have received only a few parts so far.""you will be notified when there are more parts in."my wife and i have just this one car, and having one of us sitting in the back seat each time we drive the car for the last 10 months has been very difficult.we are both seniors.is there anything you can do to have one of the local dealers in san diego county replace the airbag very soon.thanks for your help on this.

Takata recallwas told by the dealer that fix will not be available until mid 2017.unacceptable for a safety issue.

In an accident in 2012, a car impacted this lexus from right side and the lexus shifted over the curb and hit the road side light post. The front driver side airbag exploded but instead of protecting people from injury, it damaged my wife's right knee badly. The knee bone was fractured and she had three surgeries in hospital. She had been on bed for half year before recovery.now she still can't walk normally and feel pain from her knee.

"takata recall"

Takata recall. I received a safety recall notice from lexus many months ago; january, i believe, but have not yet received a follow-up notice for repair. When i contacted my local dealer today, i was told that repair is still not available and i have to continue waiting. My complaint is that this process is taking so long. Lexus recommends that i do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. I think to do so for ten months is totally unrealistic.

Wife driving 45mps in 45 mps zone crashed into turning driver on frisco, tx road

Takata recall.we recieved notice of recall july 2016.it's now 6 months later, without any additional notice.this is an older model car and we live in hot florida. We know this is a high risk car for this defect.we are afraid to use it for threat of death to the passenger.please contact us immediately with information as to getting this problem rectified.thank you much.

Takata recallstill no information or remedy for my 2008 lexus that is in zone a, sc.lexus is fixing 2012 is models ahead of much older models.it is against the nhtsb cro.lexus is stonewalling their customers!!!no information is being told to their customers.

Takata recall - i was contacted by the car dealership on may 23, 2016, that our car had defective air bags and would be notified when a remedy was available. After seven months of waiting to hear when the remedy would be available,i called the dealership on nov.01,2016, to inquire when the problem would be fixed. The answer was "we don't know, but we think parts will be available in late december 2016.i have read that some 90% of honda cars with the same airbag problem, have been repaired. Seven months of having to drive an unsafe lexus product seems totally excessive and irresponsible. More accurate fix dates and alternatives should be provided to the vehicle owner by the dealership.

Takata recall announced on jan 2017 but it still has not started the remedy of recall.so frustrated!!!

I was informed by state farm insurance that my 2008 lexus es350 does not qualify for an airbag discount because they have determined that the airbags are unsafe on this model. I have checked the nhtsa recall database and there are no recalls on this model. What does state farm know that you do not. I do not want to drive an unsafe automobile. Please respond.

Lexus will not replace the recalled takata air bags ans refuses to send the equipment to the dealership putting my family at risk for injury or death

Takata recall.unable to carry passengers in the front seat for several months.also unable to sell the car to a private party during the time i waited for repair parts.

Vehicle was involved in front end collision.airbags did not deploy.injury caused.

Takata airbag recall without a remedy makes the car very difficult to use because of the warning not to have passengers in the front seat.

The trunk release button on the exterior of the trunk lid has melted.

Occasionally and randomly, my car feels like it is "stalling" when making a right hand turn from a stop or almost a complete stop.it has happened a couple times turning left but mostly making a right-turn.i've brought this up to my service advisor and was at first told that the engine couldn't "stall" and since then i've reported it during my normal services.they would take it for a drive and couldn't replicate it.the last time i complained about it the dealership said i could leave it for a few days so they could drive it around more.i thought it was just me but then my husband had it happen to him too.it is scary and unsafe when it happens.i bought my car in 2008 and it still continues to happen today.

Had to make a hard stop and the brake pedal faded badly. Pedal has become softer over time. Already had to pay to replace faulty designed rear pads and front discs. Lexus has a tsb on the squeaky rear pads but never let us know. It was a replace only if owner complained. 1 pad was badly worn, but the vehicle was out of warranty and lexus would not do anything. With all the toyota master cylinder issues under recall, i find it hard to believe our es350 is not experiencing the same thing. Expensive fix that we cannot delay for safety sake. Engine is becoming noisy. Ticking sounds at times.

I was in stop and go traffic. Bumper to bumper. The car in front moved forward and i pressed the gas pedal 2 seconds and went back to the brake. The engine started to rev up out of control. I pressed on the brake as hard as possible and managed to slow the car but not stop it. I put it in park but the engine continued to roar. It finally went back to normal. Lexus checked the car but said they found nothing wrong. This model had been recalled for the same problem. Clearly the car may be dangerous. Lexus denies all responsibility. The inspector left a thumb drive in the car but i can't read it. I would be glad to send it to you.

The"blue-tinged" high intensity lights on newer, expensive cars are a huge problem.i have to look away when one is coming at me.the beams are extremely bothersome.other drivers i have talked to feel the same way.why do you allow them on the road?

While driving, i pushed gas pedal down to accelerate quickly.engine revved to high rpm and car accelerated and rpm stayed high in spite of letting off of gas pedal.initially i put car in neutral and engine continued at high rpm.i tapped hard on gas pedal and pedal released.this recurred again when i pushed down on pedal.appeared to be due to lexus floor mat catching on bottom of gas pedal.i called lexus dealer and was told this had never been reported.(i had already had the recalled pedal replacement done).i pulled the floor mat back to prevent the edge catching on the pedal. Approximately one month later the problem recurred--presumably because the mat has slowly pushed forward over the last month.

Beginning on or around january 13th, 2010, the transmission on the above named vehicle began to jerk when placed in reverse.this problem persisted up until march 15th, 2014, when the transmission ultimately failed.despite bringing the vehicle in for diagnosis at treasure coast lexus on multiple occasions from 2010 to 2014, the dealership and its technicians never identified the problem.this ultimately placed the driver and others at risk and resulted in the replacement of the transmission at our expense.

Quality of seat leather is poor. I looked same year model with another brand, that car seats are looks good and better than lexus es350. I looked and compared wirh another es350 2009 also seats was cracked.

I noticed the dash board is starting to melt. In the sun it is real sticky. I live in florida and the sun seems to be melting the dash close to the windshield.

My 2008 lexus dash is melting, its very very sticky. Not fair i take care of my car.

Takara recall airbagsdashboard

Bought my car in 2008, since 2012 my dashboards is very sticking because it is melting,by that time my guarantee was active because i paid extra to extend it.for the first time in 2012 i call the office of lexus to inform the problem,my customer service representative told me to bring the car in to check the problem and to make the appointment to leave the car,i thought that it was included on the guarantee, and he told me no,he told me that maybe the lexus would help me to lowerthe price, but that i had to pay, and i said no thank you i don't have the money. After that the dashboard got worse, and i call back on april 2013 to talk to my customer service representative, and he was transferred to another department,at that point i told the representative the problem, and it got worse to the point that is very difficult to drive when is sunny,he told me that my guarantee it was expired and that i had to pay to fix it. But i don't think is fair that after i paid $40,000.00 for my car i have to paid to fix it, when it should be a recall for the lexus with this problem.

The dashboard gets extremely sticky and i have notice a small hole which has now turned into a crack on the passenger side of the car. I think this happen as a result of the heat.i don't always keep my car parked under a garage.

Driving to work (i'm a registered nurse), the car (on the highway) just started to slow down. It was a blessing that i was coming up on a rest stop. By the time i was able to get over to the exit lane, the steering wheel froze and the brakes stopped working. Pressing as hard as i possibly could, i was able to pull to the side when smoke started coming from under the hood. There was no warning at all that there was trouble with the engine prior to this happening. That same week, my mechanic had 3 other lexus with blown engines and no pre-warning.

Melting dash board recall.lexus of mobile is stating i never filed a claim to have my melting dash board recall corrected.this is false.i was there and had photo's taken.i called bi-monthly to find out when the new dash boards would be in.never was i told they lost my photo's or did not have a claim on file.in addition i was there a few months ago to have the air bags fixed.at which time they saw the state of the dash board.they even created more damage to it but was told not to worry as it would be taken care of when the new dash board was installed. The glare for the dashboard is a safety hazard and must be corrected and should be at no cost to me.since this is a manufacturing defect.

Dashboard is burned plastic,

The entire dashboard is melting and has a gooey, sticky substance all over the dashboard. The sticky substance is all over my windshield and cannot come off due to the location of the gooey substance. It is causing a glare. I have taken the car to the lexus dealership in jacksonville, fl and they acknowledge that it needs to be replaced (we have pictures). We have also directly contacted lexus and they state they will not cover replacement because our vin number is outside of the vin numbers their engineers selected, nor did they offer other options to assist with replacement of the dashboard.

Dear sir/madam,our lexus es350 2008 has front panel melting and cracking.the melting plastic could emit hazardous fumes with health risk to driver and passengers. This melting panel looks awful, it dramatically decreases value of the car.we found this zlz program online below. But unfortunately it expired. We never received the zlz notice even though lexus had our contact info (this is based on the fact that they sent us numerous letters on the air bag recalls.) https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/mc-10145764-9999.pdf we calledlexus, they admit it was due to defective material but unwilling to do anything for us. Apparently they treat recalls very seriously but try to do minimum for this defective plastic panel issue.many people have similar complaints here below https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2017/toyota-lexus-melting-dashboard-lawsuit.shtml we sincerely request nhtsa to review this lexus front panel melting and cracking issue again. All lexus owners with this defective material issue should get full repair by manufacturer without limitation. If necessary, please consider a full recall for this issue so lexus can treat this more seriously.thanks for your attention.regards!

When driving at 60mph, after removing foot from gas pedal, vehicle will continue to maintain a speed of 40mph.have to apply brakes to slow car down.

Concern about very bright white head lamps on some newer autos.they tend to blind on coming drivers because of their brightness.according to dr isadore rosenfeld they can trigger migraine headaches.this is a road hazard and can lead to an accident.
