On multiple occasions vehicle has been in reverse as indicated by gear shift and dash yet the vehicle has moved forward as if it were in drive instead. Reported to dealership and manufacturer without resolve.
Engine oil is leaking from turbo directly onto exhaust.this has been noticed since the vehicle had 15000 miles.when traveling and come to complete stop, strong oil burning smell is is noticed inside the car and outside the car, no flames have been seen yet. The vehicle has about 24000 miles and it is getting a lot worse. High potential of fire.
The car failed to operate while driving without any indication or warning light. No check engine light or oil light came on and yet according to the dealership where the car was towed the engine seized. The car is under a lease with approximately 24,000 miles on it and it failed to operate without warning. Land rover of sudbury and land rover north america refuse to warranty the vehicle and claim the repair will cost over $35,000.
Without any signs and warnings, my car's engine light was suddenly on as we were driving home. When my husband drove it to the dealer, we were told that the engine needed a replacement. We have to pay more than $20,000 because our car (2016 land rover sport) was 7000 miles beyond the warranty mileage (50,000).

Rear differential needed to be replaced with less then 40,000 miles.no extreme driving, mainly city driving. No lights or warnings, just a rubbing noise. Took it to a dealer and outside mechanic, both confirmed it needed to be replaced.

Handle above rear passenger side door broke off and my 90 mother fell to the ground.
I have taken the vehicle in 6 times for the rear electric lift gate opening randomly on highway and roads. I have had items fall out that could have created an accident. It is know that land rover has issues with doors opening and i now am including the lift gate. The issue has not been resolved
Interested in buying this car used from elliot bay auto brokers this issue has not been resolved?should they fix this before i make an offer?
I received recall notice n336 in july.my passenger rear door has swung open in traffic 4 different times as i am making right hand turns in busy intersections!!!!i have contacted landrover and local dealership to try to get it fixed but they say they do not have the parts to fix the problem yet.it has been 6 weeks since the recall notice was issued.that should be plenty of time!!this is a huge safety risk and it continues to happen!!!!
When i turned my car on in the morning the stereo was not working and you could hear crackling. I then was dropping my son off at school and we were going slow because we were in the school zone.maybe 5-10 mphi smelled smoke and then looked back and saw smoke coming from inside the car where the reading light is in the back. I had to park my truck at my dads car because i did not feel safe driving it. I googled and found that a lot of range rover have a faulty sunroof to where water leaks causing electrical damage. This was also what the range rover specialist told me he has seen happen. My truck model however has yet to be recalled. But there are other models that have been recalled for this sunroof issue. It is clearly something land rover vehicles have an issue with. I am out of warranty just a month ago. When i went yesterday to my dads house to get something out of my truckit was covered in mold. This is because there is so much water that seeped through the sides of the car. You can tell because the mold was coming from the seatbelt holes and such.
Defective gear selector. Driver parked the car and switched it off.driver exited the vehicle with the keys. The car rolled backwards without anyone in the car. The car ran over a stationary motorcycle and over and into a low wall causing about $20,000 worth of damage. Accordingto the manual, the car is supposed to have an automatic brake when switched off and exited. From the manual: "the epb applies automatically if the ignition is switched off and the vehicle's speed is below 2 mph (3 km/h)."the accident happened on june 14, 2018. My insurance - farmer' insurance - filed a claim/complaint with range rover, but it was denied by range rover. Please help with this - it is extremely dangerous. We are lucky that the car did not drive over a person walking behind the car. I have read many other reports of this same issue with range rover.
