Engine complete shuts down when idling (i.e., at stop lights) in extreme temperatures.requires vehicle to be turned off, wait a minute or two, restart vehicle.has happened 4 times at outdoor temperatures of 110-120 degrees.dealership service claims that they cannot replicate the problem and states that there is nothing in the computer log to show any errors.so far this has not happened on a highway, only local streets.
A few months ago, a message of "no fault suspension detected, drive with caution" appeared on our dash.before then we were getting a message of low coolant.i thought this was weird because we had the car for only a little over a year.we took it to our dealer and we were told that there is nothing to worry about.we scheduled a maintenance appt to have the software updated.also our car wouldn't start, i had to place my key fob under the steering wheel as indicated on the dash.i told the dealer this too and i was told it was a battery that needed to be changed, or we need to use both key fobs intermittently. Then yesterday, were stopped at a traffic light, the car just shut off and the wipers went on by itself.my husband started the car up and we drove off when the light turned green.we stopped at a place to pick up some food and shut the car off.came back into the car and started it up again.no problems there.but as we drove a few miles and came to a stop light at a major intersection, the car stalled and everything shut off again.we tried to start it up again and nothing.a message came on that said forward alert not to drive over 50mph.then a gear box showed on the dash saying something about the gear box.i can't remember because i was in so much panic with the heavy traffic.we couldn't put the car in neutral to move it out of the way.luckily the fire truck and firefighters happened to be driving by.they were able to direct traffic until the police and the tow truck came.our dealer here was not open over the weekend so we had to have our car towed home. It was then making a clicking noise as we tried to start it.then all the lights on the dash went out.it felt hard to step on the brake and to move the steering wheel when we tried to start the car again.
It stalls at stop signs and stop lights. This is not the eco start-stop feature. It does happen both with that feature on and off. This is an electrical failure. When it stalls all the computers shut down, climate control, electronic screens, stereo, and occasionally the seats move back all the way, making it near impossible to reach the start-stop button to restart the car. It sometimes happens when you first come to a stop, and other times right after you hit the accelerator and start to roll into the intersection. The technicians have been able to recreate this, and have also been in the car with us when it happened. This has easily happened more than 20 times in 3 weeks.
The contact owns a 2020 land rover range rover evoque. The contact stated that each time he enters the vehicle, the passenger's side tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle to inspect the tire and top off air pressure in the tire however, the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the rear windshield wiper failed to operate correctly, cleaning only a small area of the window. The vehicle was taken to walser mazda (14720 buck hill rd, burnsville, mn 55306, (952) 388-2244) and the contact was informed to take the vehicle back to the dealer it was purchased from. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The contact mentioned nhtsa campaign number: 20v517000 (tires, electrical system), 19v421000 (visibility) as possible solutions to the failures however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.
Vehicle completely stalled out while idling when i pulled off to the side of the road.had started car by remote start to turn on air conditioner and cool car when in very hot temperature (118 degrees).rpms dropped and received message to reselect gear even though car was in drive.car died 3 separate times before i was able to get the car to drive.
Vehicle began to stall while stopped at a stop light in downtown phoenix.temperature was about 113 degrees.received alert to reselect gear even though car was in drive.rpms dropped while idling and car died.was able to get car to restart by turning off engine and restarting the car on the second attempt.this happened on 9/5/2020 and again on 9/6/2020.was sitting in turn lane waiting for light to change so that i could make turn and ended up blocking traffic with a dead car.
Since past few months i am experiencing frequent stalling in my car. When car is at the traffic lightand sometimes during turning at the corner, it just stops responding to peddle and i have to restart the engine and select gear again to move it.during the recent snowstorms, it once staled and started sliding backwards as engine stalled and transmission stopped working on traction. I had to quickly restart the engine and regain the control to get away with this situation. I think this situation is very dangerous on the road and could lead to fatal accident some day.i am putting rough date of 1st march as i do not know when was itstarted exactly but its been couple of months i am having this issue.
This happens several times (more than 10) over a period of 6 months. The car randomly, while driving states"select gear to maneuver". This is very dangerous as the car just randomly turns off. It does not matter if it is in a middle of a turn, going fast, or coming to a stop.i did my own research, and found several other people with same make and model having this problem. Https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/2020-evoque-stalling-when-coming-to-a-stop.341701/nobody, is helping and i cannot think of a more serious safety issue than this!. Get landrover to recall and fix this issue asap!this puts me and my family at risk. Along with every other motorist and pedestrian in the streets. Including school children crossing the street.

Front controller arms replaced due to noise when turning steering wheel.problem persisted and 2nd repair was to drain hydraulic fluid from ca bushings as a temporary fix.now land rover is stating that draining the fluid is the permanent fix, even though car was designed with bushing fluid. We are afraid to take the car on long trips of off road and be stranded somewhere.
Grinding/crunching type noise from the front end ofthe vehicle when going over bumps or dips. Noise can also be heard when driving on flat surfaces at low speed.noise is definitely present when the vehicle is moving under 15 mph. Can be heard when the steering wheel is turned or straight. Customer suspects the suspension system on the right front side.noise was first reported to dealership service department in february but service told me that they were not able to detect the noise.noise continued to worsen.took vehicle back to dealership service on 6/29/2020 for inspection of noise and was told on 7/1/2020 that they had been able to confirm the noise and that parts were ordered but had no available ship date and that they had to return the vehicle to me with the noise.
Grinding noise while making right and left turns at low speed.happens randomly almost 30% of the time.

This is a recurring problem that i have had into land rover service for service and in november or early december 2020. Jon the previous service, i was told the vehicle needed a software update. The problem stopped but i think it was because (as i will explain later) that the weather turned cold. The problem at that time is the same problem i am experiencing now only now the car will stall periodically. This has now happened so often that i have observed a pattern. When starting to drive the car from start up or at a stop the car will slip out of gear and i will get a beeping noise and a messagethat states:"engage gear before maneuvering." sometimes the car will stay illuminated in drive mode but really be in neutral as it will rev but not move. In those cases i will shift into park and then back into drive and the car will move again. Recently the car will act the same way only stall out requiring me to restart the car and shift it into drive mode. This seems to happen most often when it is very hot outside and the car's auto start/stop function is on. During the winter months my secondary battery would be low on power and the auto start/stop function would not engage. During those times i do not recall experiencing this issue. In fact my main battery has been very low and required a trickle charge at home. This was illustrated by my hatch not opening or the car giving me a message prior to start up that the battery was low. Of course that was never a safety issue, the problem above is. Last night my wife and i were leaving were stopped atlighton a 6 lane state highway. As i came to a stop in the center lane the car suddenly started beeping the engage gear message flashed and the car stalled. I tried as quickly as possible to re-start the car and put it into gear. Several maneuvered around us. One car almost hit us from behind and at a high rate of speed by swerved around us. This is clearly a highly unsafe and potentially deadly defect.

I entered my vehicle and when i turned it on, i noticed a warning message on my dash that said 'gearbox fault detected'. I put the car in drive and it lagged a little, but i was able to drive it. I drove about two blocks from my home before the car started to rev up (the rpm gauge went up) and then slow down. I pulled to the side of the road. I then turned around to go back to my home because i didn't feel safe driving. When turning the car around, i attempted to do a three point turn. I put the car in reverse, it began to rev up again and the car stalled. I waited a few seconds and the car started to reverse. Then i put it in drive. It did the same thing...rev up and then stalled. I waited a few seconds again and then the car started to move forward. I was able to get it back to my home. I called the dealership and explained what happened. They agreed it was not safe to drive and recommended i get a tow to the dealership, which i did.
