On one occasion, the failure occurred while driving over a railroad track. The vehicle was taken to land rover huntington located at 1249 e. As a result, the liftgate made contact with a person's back on several occasions while they were leaning into the rear of the vehicle. There were no injuries. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer (land rover of sudbury in sudbury, ma) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 1,000.

Loss of total acceleration when changing steady speed to a higher speed. Rpm gauge moves and the engine revs up as the gas pedal is pushed with no acceleration of the vehicle and the loss of present speed. No power at all as if the vehicle was in neutral. This issue started after the vehicle reached over 50,000 miles on the odometer. This has happened four times in the last five months on the interstate doing speeds of 50 mph to 70 mph, just recently at 50 mph on the interstate trying to merge into traffic.
