In november of 2017 i was t-boned on the driver's side.the curtain airbag deployed and saved my head, however, the side airbag did not deploy.my spleen was severed and i spent 3 weeks in icu.now, 2 1/2 years on, i still have health issues.

Takata recall, on thursday , 7-7-16 i took my vehicle in for its 40,000 mile check up/oil change/update.land rove/ niello in rocklin, ca kept my car due to additional needs such as eco stop malfunction.when returning the rental on wednesday the 13th the service manager [xxx] had me pay and sign my 5 page receipt/ inspection.at this time [xxx] mentioned that the brakes were getting low and needed to be changed for new brakes or the calibers/rotors could damage, which is not covered by warranty. The dealership had 3 whole business days to inform me about brake pads being low but failed to do so in a timely manner. Then when checking out they told me i could have the brakes replaced in my hometown providing me the parts number.the very next morning i was driving in motion estimating 15 mph. On a 25 mph street i live on, degarmo and esplanade.i tried to press the brakes but nothing happened the brake went to the floor.immediately i had les schuab tires measure the brake/rotors/calibers. The tire centers measurements differed the service department at rocklin. Manager from les shcuab told me these parts happen over time not resulting from a sudden crash.i copied the measurements and asked land rover rocklin and the customer service department of north america to see the difference in measurements since it caused my crash and i paid out of warranty for everything which should have been covered.they turned down the offer to review my paperwork.since the crash the safety recall p091:or (nhtsa) 16v- since the crash the safety recall p091(nhtsa16v-614 has came out and the dealership finally has claimed to do updates & fix the issue i had to get aaa to tow me down after the issue worsened on vehicle. On 9/22/2017 i purchased a certified pre-owned(cpo) range rover evoque fromdimmitt land rover in clearwater. Immediately after the purchase, i brought upseveral issues with the vehicle to include a missing front passenger windowtint, 3 blown speakers on the front passenger door, part of the a pillarfalling off while driving, problems with the eco start/stop not working, and atire that sounded like a tractor trailer. Since 9/22/2017 i have been to theservice department some 6 times, the most recent on june 8th 2018 for ecostart/stop issue and the again the tire noise. Neither one was addressed atall. I also brought the vehicle in for scheduled maintenance twice since9/22/2017 and both time the maintenance required a tire mandatory tire rotationat 40,000 and 50,000 miles. On neither occasion was the tire rotation done. I wasforced to conduct the tire rotation myself on 6/9/2018. I am a disabled veteran with multiple medicalconditions and have no business doing labor work. This is why i paied them to do the work. They alsohave used my disability to discriminate against me on multiple occasions going as far as usingpredatory tactics with my disability to try to sell me out of my vehicle instead of fixing the problem.(see attached)

Driver side door won't lock with remote but the alarm will still sound if that door is opened. Even though that door is not locked. It will also unlock with the remote. It just won't lock with the remote.

Eco start/stop is not working. The rear seats since day 1 been rattling. The dealer wrapped the hook with something to make it tight.

The engine was running and the vehicle was in park and i exited the vehicle.i went inside an adjacent building for approximately 1 minute. I returned to the vehicle and opened the front passenger side door.i picked up my key fob and pressed the ignition button to turn off the engine.when the engine turned off the vehicle began to roll away and struck a parked car and pinned me between the vehicle and the opened passenger side door.my hand was pressed between the car door and a light pole in the parking lot.the tow truck driver sat in the driver's seat and pressed the engine button and the gear shifter emerged and was in the park position.the tow truck driver then shifted the vehicle to neutral and the vehicle would not move.the parking brake continued to engage and the tires would not roll freely.

The contact owns a 2015 land rover range rover evoque. Soon after the vehicle was purchased, the contact stated that the eco button would not function. The contact took the vehicle to land rover san antonio (13660 i-10, san antonio, tx 78249, 210-561-4900) and was informed that the failure was due to an electrical short. The contact was given a quote of $1,000 for the repair. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

Gearbox fault. I drive a new range rover evoque, model 2015. The first time i had this problem with the vehicle was in october, 2014, only a month after taking the car out of the dealership. While driving the vehicle, it suddenly and abruptly stopped in the middle of a busy road. Cars behind me had to stop abruptly, almost hitting my car and pedestrians. My vehicle accused a gearbox fault, and the gearbox was blocked. I could not shift gears, the vehicle was stuck for over half an hour, and i had to restart the car several times to be able to drive it again. My car was then taken to land rover service for repair. When the vehicle was returned to me, however, the gearbox problem persisted. The same gearbox problem happen again two more times in june, 2015. In the last times i was inside my garage. I got in the car and started the vehicle, but i could not shift gears. The gearbox was blocked again, accusing the gearbox fault, and the car was stuck. This time it had to be towed away to land rover service.in the last time land rover repaired my vehicle, a new software was installed. The service representative stated that there is a recall in the united states for the evoque model. Apparently, land rover used faulty gearboxes, and is now offering a software upgrade to all vehicles of that model to fix the faulty gearboxes.over 36,000 thousand vehicles were recalled outside the u.s. For the software upgrade, after the problem was reported in the media. But i found no confirmation of the recall in the united states. Land rover did not contact us about the recall before, and was unable to answer whether or not it is an effective solution to the gearbox fault problem with the evoque model.

Door latches do not lock.

For the 5th time now, while driving normally on city streets (and once on the highway), the car starts giving multiple fault messages regarding system failures and then it goes into limp home mode. Once, i turned it off on the side of the street and it locked up and would not come back on - it had to be towed. The fault messages include "gear box failure" and "stability control failure", abs failure, power steering failure, and more. All five times, the dealership cannot find the source of the problem. It is currently at the shop again (it was just there two weeks ago for the same issue). I will never feel safe driving it again knowing that it can suddenly have problems at any time.

My 2015 range rover evoque with 52,000 miles on it, lost power while driving on the freeway. I was unable to accelerate and keep up with traffic even with the gas pedal complete to the floor. On roadways that had hills, i would lose speed causing traffic to back up behind me. The check engine also came on. When i took it to the auto repair shop i was told that the turbo charger had failed and needed to be replaced. The estimate was $6275.

Eco start/stop is not working. The rear seats since day 1 been rattling. The dealer wrapped the hook with something to make it tight.

I was driving to work with my baby in the back seat. I got to a red light, turned green i go, get up to 40mph, car cuts out (complete loss of power). The person behind me swirves off the road to miss me. I am stuck in the middle of hwy 17 (very busy) the road for 5 minutes trying to reatart. My engine light is now on. I get the car to start i immediately turn around to get my car and my baby home. I am up to 55mph still on hwy 17 in jacksonville nc. My car looses all power and shuts off, and the cars behimd me slams on brakes and there air bags come out. Nothing was hit, but it was close. I took it to land rover in wilmington nc they are saying it is the variable valve timing control solenoid. The mechanic ryan told me that this happens a few times a year, and he has worked on many with the same issue. My car only has 60,000 miles on it, and should not have this issue. This is a huge safety concern of mine, me and my child could have been hurt. I contacted corporate jaguar land rover and told them of the issue i had and they said there is nothing they can do. This is a reoccurring issue, and nothing is being done about it, and if i wouldnt have thought fast during my incident i could have lost my life or even worse my childs.

Just purchased my car in july 2018. Was a previous leased car with reguiar maintenance. I was driving on the highway and my car suddenly would not shift gears no pickup in the car. Luckily i was able to pull to side of the road to prevent an accident and turn car off and back on again. Check engine light came on. Was able to drive to an authorized land rover dealer to which they state turbocharger has an internal defect and a common problem with my make and model car.

I was driving on the highway going approximately the speed limit of 75 mph when all the sudden the car began making a knocking noise & started losing power and rapidly decelerating out of my control. My rpms began running 7k+ and i needed to jam down on the gas pedal in order to try and maintain speed and avoid an accident, which worked for a second and actually allowed me to gain back speed. However, with the gas all the way down it only kept speed for a short period until the check engine light popped on and i began dropping down speed again. I could not maintain speed. I immediately changed to the right lane and was able to pull over at a rest stop. I read the manual, and according to the warning transmission signal which displayed, my car may be driven but performance may be reduced and i should immediately take it into a dealer, which i did. I was later told by an authorized dealer that 'my turbo had blown' with cracks along with a destroyed solenoid and other parts relating to the speed of my car. It currently has under 80k miles and is in the repair shop as we speak. It has had routine maintenance and just underwent service care (replaced oil/ oil filter, transmission fluid , etc) less than 2 months ago.the total estimated repair cost relating to this safety concern is roughly $5,200 usd from an authorized dealer (a new turbo, solenoid, labor, etc).

The turbocharger has gone out and the vehicle has less than 60k miles on it. How can this be possible? aren't land rovers a high end vehicle??? there is no reason that my american made car is older than this vehicle and i have had no costly repairs on it. Someone needs to review these turbochargers and ensure a better quality because these cars are too expensive as it is and now to fix this i need to pay over $3000!!! it's not right! the vehicle will accelerate slowly and drive rough when gears are changing. The codes we get are for the turbo charger.

The turbo failed at 42000 miles, was replaced under warranty by range rover of portland. The turbo has failed again at 84000 miles. Both failures occurred while driving on a highway passing another vehicle at approximately 65 mph. I have been advised by an authorized range rover repairman. Messer autowerks of kennewick, wa. That the turbos for the evoque and lr2 have a design flaw, there is an internal component that breaks off and causes the turbo to fail. I researched with your website and range rover there is no recall in place for my model an year

The contact owns a 2015 land rover range rover evoque. The contact stated that while his son was driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled with an unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to jaguar land rover anaheim hills (5401 e la palma ave, anaheim, ca 92807) where the gsm and all terrain switch pack were replaced however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then towed to paretti jaguar land rover baton rouge (13934 airline hwy, baton rouge, la 70817) however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 16v614000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000.*dt

The contact owned a 2015 land rover range rover evoque. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25-30 mph, the vehicle began to hesitate as if it was going to turn off. The vehicle also began to release smoke from the rear and front of the vehicle. The contact pulled over into a parking lot and the vehicle turned off. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The vehicle had not been examined by a certified mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

2015 evoque cam failed and ruined the engine at 68k miles. The cost of the repair exceeds the value of the car (about $17k).no one will fix it for this reason. It shifted into neutral unexpectedly causing a potential traffic hazard. It was impossible to move it out of the roadway without the assistance of a tow truck (parking brakes lock, and gear selector becomes useless.) after some research this seems to be a fairly common known issue.this is very unsafe, and financially devasting on a financed car. There were no warnings and no prior issues up to the time of incident.

Turbo blows up/goes out while driving. Making inclined speeds hard to reach to move out of way of vehicles. Has no pep behind it.

2015 evoque, 50k miles only. On feb 26th 2020, i was on the interstate and noticed a humming sound from engine side. Gradually it because so loud and non ignorable. The vehicle lost power and slowed down on the interstate. My whole family survived a cluster crash by mere luck. Dealership says turbo is blown and this is common problem. Bills $4500 and am out of warranty since nov 2020. Common problem ??? how can a 5 yr old 50k vehicle have a common problem that costs $4500 to fix ? my research show land rover was always aware of this turbo failure issues and never attempted to fix it. This is a design issue hidden from customers and we are made to pay for the defect. Please investigate this with lr and i request a recall of turbos on all defective lr vehicles asap.

Loss of power. High rpm, eco mode not working. Check engine light on with code for turbo loss of power. Only 47k miles. Will not shift properly. Major power loss

After driving the vehicle for 30 miles or more and parking in the garage, avery strong gas odor fills the garage; the vehicle has to be parked outside in the driveway.

I was driving the speed limit of 70 mph, when both headlights suddenly went out. I had a mechanic evaluate it. He found 4 engine codes & 3 other codes (1 a low beam headlamp code) & advised there was a problem land rover had to evaluate. I called cape fear land rover in wilmington, nc as the extended warranty still applied, explained the issue. The next day i was told the bulbs had blown was not a warranty issue. I asked how both went out simultaneously, & if all codes were repaired. I was told "both bulbs blow simultaneously all the time" i again asked if all codes had been repaired, i was told "there aren't any other codes." i advised i had a picture of the codes on my phone. I was then told "oh, i'll call you back." i heard nothing until i called the next day to check on my car. At that time i was told of a known issue with a faulty wiring harness causing both lights to blow, but the repair part was no longer made, & my only option was to replace the bulbs each time they blow. I expressed my concern for the safety of me & my family. I was told "i'll check on it & call you back." the next day after hearing nothing, i again called. I was told the wiring harness was no longer made & the entire headlight assembly had to be replaced but would be covered by the warranty. Today the dealer is saying the warranty does not cover "illumination" & i would have to pay $1100 to fix the issue. The warranty company says they don't cover headlights or bulbs, but the dealer needs to resubmit as an electrical issue and it would be covered. The lr dealer says they called to resubmit and was denied, the warranty co. States the dealer never called back. The dealer still has my car, i still have no headlights, and the safety of myself and my family are at great risk as we never know when the lights are going to blow. This is a known issue, and land rover refuses to correct it.

The passenger headlight went out on my 2015 evoque at 24,280 miles.i took the car to the range rover dealer where i bought the car.the service advisor said the technician found a technical bulletin regarding "halogen bulbs may have blown at low time in service".this is due to low resistance in wiring harness.dealer replaced the wiring harness and bulb under warranty.i believe this is a serious safety issue that the manufacturer was aware of but did not notify me in advance in order to get the wiring harness replaced prior to the bulb failure.

Headlight has gone out 5 times in 73,000 miles. They have discovered it was improperly grounded. The frequency of the issue has created a safety and legal issue for driving at dusk and after as well as in bad weather.

At around 12:40pm on july 10th, 2018. My cousin and i were parking the 2015 evoque in a garage driveway. The driveway has a slight down slope and 3 other vehicles in front of me so brakes were being applied to maneuver. As i was coming to a complete stop, the vehicle accelerated hard and quickly. I tried to hold the brake but it seemed it had no effect. The car ended up hitting the end of the garage structure. 911 was called shortly after. On july 12th, the insurance company has already deemed the car a total loss.

While driving, my car will unexpectedly shift into neutral. Each time this has happened on deceleration and is accompanied by a "reselect gear" alert on the dash and an alarm (dinging) noise. This has happed 5-6 times in 3 months. I have to force the shifter out of d and into n then back to d and it will continue driving. I have taken in into the land rover dealership 2 times for a total of almost 6 weeks combined, and they have not been able to figure out the issue or get the fault to replicate. There is a recall for my same make and model, just not my vin, that is exactly the same as what my car is doing.

The contact owns a 2015 land rover range rover evoque. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked and hesitated while accelerating, without warning. Car randomly drops to neutral while driving.

The contact owns a 2015 land rover range rover evoque. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle shifted gears to neutral independently. The contact was able to shift gears to park and restart the ignition. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. Upon investigation the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 16v614000 (power train). Land rover of tacoma located at 1601 40th ave ct e, fife, wa 98424, was contacted and made aware of the failure. They have been in my opinion negligent, unethical, un-professional. By reporting this i hope to prevent this from happening in a worse circumstance.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My car was taken in to a dealer multiple times regarding what i believed were seized and leaking magneride shocks. When on freeway and car hit a bump the whole car would give a loud thump and stability was seriously compromised to the point turns did not feel safe if there was a 'rough' road.dealer failed to recognize it even after me bringing it in and stating the problem as they said that issue would be more rare.had a third party install new magneride shocks... 2 were completely seized up in extended position almost to the point they couldn't be removed and a third was leaking. There is no mention of any service, lifespan, or maintenance on the magneride shocks. While in the process of suspension removal, both front axles were broken as the installer noticed the front axle threads were stripped at the hub and one nut siezed and another was dangerouslyloose... Ended up needing two new front axles and wheel bearing. The main issue is the reaction between the metals, the hubs are aluminium and the bolts are steel and that causes galvanic corrosion and can be a serious safety issue. Should there be shearing or breakage while driving it could be lethal and it's a serious design flaw.

The driver side door is not locking, when i lock the car. Every door accept the driver side door. I have to manually lock it when i drive.

Reoccurring rust in tailgate which dealer has only buffed and it reoccurs worse than before.refusal to admit it is a build quality defect.i was told i don't wash enough, was rail rust, yet only appears on one place the tailgate which is a composite material.

I parked my car at the dog park and was there for about 30 minutes. When i came out my car was engulfed in flames.total loss by the time the firefighters were done fighting the blaze. .

((((exact same story as another report filed:nhtsa id number:11076170))).i got to a red light, turned green i go, get up to 25mph, car cuts out (complete loss of power). *my engine light is now on. I get the car to start i immediately turn around to get home.* my car looses all power and shuts off in the freeway home.* i finally get the vehicle home, and my husband ran diagnostics.- the computer is saying it is the variable valve timing control solenoid issue.* my car only has @80,000 miles on it, and should not have this issue. .**this is a huge safety concern.* i haven't contacted corporate jaguar land rover yet. This seems to be a very big reoccurring issue, with this year/make/model, and it seems like land rover is doing nothing about it..looks like it may be time to lawyer up, and set up a class action! .semper fidelis

Keyless start - signal being jammed by cell phone.in addition to another recent issue of parking brake engaging at start and while driving down the road.land rover cannot find error codes in software and is not able to see or resolve the issue.land rover noted that other people have had the cell phone jamming issues.land rover is aware but, there is no fix at this time.i've had the vehicle for more than 2 years and the problem has developed over the last 3-4 months time frame.i need help with figuring out the problem - if its an application on my phone or recent apple software update. Logical reasoning tells me that the issue is coming from my phone if land rover cannot find a "technical" issue on their end.land rover should have security that would prevent this from happening though.if this is some type of harassment, i want to get to the bottom of it.can you help me?

I purchased a car at auto magic 3 months ago. I just get a flat tire and realized the dealer did not give me the key to unlock the tire. I dropped the car to them and they could not find a key to give me. They have me go home and will not give me a car to drive while i am waiting for the key.

My range rover evoque comes with a climate package that includes heated seats, heated steering wheel and heated windshield, the problem for the visibility its 100% the grids that the front windshield has, during night time the back lights from other cars in front looks like a star making you feel that there is more than 1 car in front of you, but the real safety problem that we experience yesterday its that a stoplight there was a green arrow light on and on the right two red lights, but because the grids on the windshield creates the sensation that in my lane the green light was on, (you couldn't see the arrow, just a green mark), and the reality it was the green arrow, so if my wife don't warning me about a trailer coming from my right side maybe we would no be living to write this complaint... Since i purchase the vehicle i contact the dealership to tell them about this and they practically ignore me because they say that nobody complaint before about this... I made a research online putting this phrase: "range rover evoque windshield problems visibility" and i get 19,400 results, actually there is many forums talking about this... I truly believe that the nhtsa needs to research about this more extensive now i am worry to drive the car during night time!!!
