Passenger side dashboard is cracking around airbag. Vehicle is not kept in the sun. The rest of the vehicle shows no wear or cracks only the airbag area.

The airbag light comes on and stays on...

The passenger side dash where the airbag is installed has a sudden straight line crack in the dash at the bottom of where the airbag is installed in the dash and a straight line crack on the left of the airbag in the dash. These are perfectly straight lines and not something the sun did. The vehicle is kept in a garage when not in use. The vehicle has never been left in the sun for a long period of time. These cracks were sudden - not there one day and there the next day.

The dash has cracked all the way across even where the air bags are feel very unsafe with the bags may not deploy. At the time of an accident

Air bag light is on dash. Took to dealer and they said airbag and clock spring are bad because the wiring inside the airbag and clock spring are bad and i need to pay to replace otherwise my airbag will not deploy if needed. I asked them about recall 08v248000(land rover is recalling over 37,000 lr3 and range rover sport vehicles. The relative motion between the steering wheel hub and/or steering column cowl with the clockspring, which contains air bag circuitry, could cause a fracture in the driver-side air bag wiring connection.)and they said nope not covered. I believe this recall should be taken into consideration when evaluating my airbag.

The dash covering has cracked around the passenger air bag, i am concerned that this could effect the deployment of said air bag

I just bought a 2005 land rover lr3 se.two days later after a rain, the passenger's side floor was wet.the next day the remote keyless entry stopped working.after looking online, i found that this is a common problem with the keyless entry due to a problem with the sunroof drains pouring water into the floor and causing corrosion of the wiring.

Just as experienced by others, my 2005 land rover lr3 experienced water build up into the driver's side of the vehicle (approx 3 in. Deep of water both in driver and rear passenger area after heavy rain). According to the dealership, water dripped along the frame on which the windshield is mounted after a heavy rain and flooded the inside.this was apparently due to clogged drainage tubes. A few days later, the parking brake failed to operate and the warning light for the system came on. The parking brake was never repaired / is still not operable.although the dealership said the tubes were fixed, this flooding occurrence has happened 4 more times. No recommendations were given to avoid future occurrences, or guarantees given that additional systems affected by water damage (including ones vital to supporting the vehicle in motion) will not fail.

This vehicle has had numerous problems from excessive tire wear to cruise control not shutting off when depressing the control button on the steering wheel.now there is a excessive water leak that has caused electrical problems such as parking brake malfunction, windshield washer to fail, numerous warning lights coming on.this all causes me to not use the vehicle, until it dries out, for fear that the leak from the sunroof will cause electrical failure while driving.also the wiring is probably becoming very corroded and could short out causing the vehicle to catch fire.during the warranty period of this vehicle it was extremely difficult to get land rover north america to acknowledge any of these problems other than they were unique to this vehicle.

Dt:the contact stated the vehicle stalled while driving at 60 mph.the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership.they found the bent connector was not making proper contact, this was repaired.there have been no problems with the vehicle since the repair.

My 2005 lr3 had numerous problems with the air suspension. The compressor had to be replaced 2 times, and i had 2 or 3 different software updates. Recently it started with transmission problems, also affecting the electronic parking brake. First time in jan 07 car was towed to dealer, who said it just needed a software update. The second time just now in april i got transmission problems, abs warning, suspension failure. Dealer told me that was a known problem with lr3 and nothing to worry, it just was electronic and needed again another computer update. But how can i know it is still safe?i also have intermittent problems with window switches and steering wheel mounted controls who go totally crazy.

My 2005 land rover lr3 has several warning lights, varies from brake to suspension which usually clears itself after restarting the engine. Last week the amber light on the suspension heights is on again with chimes each time the engine starts. 3 days ago, i was driving to a supermarket when the amber light turned red, the suspension system failed, the vehicle dropped to a low stance and very bouncy. It made strange noise from the left rear side, i can't even drive more than 25 miles per hour, as it will bounce wildly. The car is now still stuck in a low level suspension, parked in the a parking space near my house. Lucky it happens not more than 10 miles away from my house, so i drove it very slowly. If this problem happens in a freeway, this is a very dangerous situation.

I have a 2005 land rover lr 3. Both remote controls stopped working at the same time. After further investigation i found out that this is a common problem for this model i checked various blogs and i discovered hundreds of complaints about the sunroof drainage leading to wire corrosion and resulting in short circuit and keyless entry remotes not working. Dealers are aware of this problem, but they say this is not a reason for a recall.

A 2005 land rover lr3 experienced water intrusion into the driver's side area.water dripped along the frame on which the windshield is mounted after several days of heavy rain.a few days later, the vehicle's remote lock/unlock system failed to operate.inspection of the vehicle by land rover service personnel revealed clogged "drain tubes" leading from the sunroof along the driver and passenger side front frames, which subsequently allowed water to enter the vehicle through an undertermined entry point.electrical wiring for the remote control system was rendered inoperable.other cabling and interior carpeting were also water-damaged.land rover service personnel replaced existing drain tubes with larger diameter ones.the faulty remote system was repaired.other systems whose cabling was exposed to liquid were not traced out or replaced.no recommendations were given to avoid future occurrences, or guarantees given that additional systems affected by water damage (including ones vital to supporting the vehicle in motion) will not fail.

The contact owns a 2005 landrover lr3. The contact stated that the check engine warning light flashed and remained illuminated. While at a stop light to make a left turn, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure continued. The contact stated that when the fuel was lower than a quarter of a tank, the vehicle randomly stalled. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 07v011000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 05v376000 (fuel system, gasoline). The dealer did not notify the contact of nhtsa campaign number:08v248000 (steering), which was not completed before the contact owned the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop for inspection and diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 80,060.

The dash has cracked all the way across even where the air bags are feel very unsafe with the bags may not deploy. At the time of an accident

The contact owns a 2005 land rover lr3.while driving 60 mph, all of the warning indicator lights illuminated on the instrument panel.the power steering failed and the engine revved.the vehicle was towed to the dealer and they stated that the failure was caused by the onboard computer system.the dealer did not repair the vehicle, but everytime the failure occurred, they stated that the failure had already been corrected.the failure mileage was 10 and current mileage was 32,000.

Dt:in february while driving and making a left hand turn there was no power steering, andno electrical power in the vehicle. He car restarted.consumertook the car home, and the car was drivento dealership. Consumerwas provided witha loaner car of the same make and model, and it did exactly the same thing. The loaner car stalled at a stop sign, and then restarted right away, butthere was a problem with the throttle, and the problem was repaired. Then the car was being taken across country in may.the vehicle had no electrical power. No dash board lights, then in june 2005 the car was being driven in the neighborhood . There was a problem with the vehicle whenconsumertried to accelerate the vehicle itwouldn't go any faster than 5 mph. The dealership representative towedvehicle to the dealership. Consumerwasadvised that it was a problem with some chip in the car, and it was picked up the next day. The car did not havethis problem again until last night whenbattery light andair bag light came on. Then consumer pulledover, and put the car was in park. Thenconsumertried to put it in drive, and the transmission was locked. There was very low power, the windows would roll down slowly.consumer found a way to unlock the transmission by looking in the owner's manual. Thenwas able to get it into drive butthe emergency parking brake engaged.

2005 lr3. Unable to unlock doors with key remote. Opened doors manually. Took car to dealership. After 6 days, notified that electrical system failed due to water leaking into car. Two drains from sunroof were "spliced" and water draining into interior of car resulting in "mold" throughout mat and carpet. Carpet and pad removed and treated with "lysol" only, recarpeted, and electrical repaired. Not convinced that mold problem resolved completely.mother and 10 year old child suffered chronic bronchial problems for the first three months of this year (2007).

1).disconnected plug to generator which resulted in electric failure in navigation system and stereo - fixed. 2). Vehicle continues to veer to the right while driving, however after each complaint and servicing to land rover we are told there is no alignment problem when they drive the car.3). Repeat of the same problem, approximately three weeks later - dealer stated there was a recall on the stereo/navigation system, which is what initially caused the problem - fixed3). 9-14-2005 vehicle stalled while driving downhill in heavy traffic in a canyon, leaving me with no brakes or power steering, almost veering off the mountain.started engine again and it stalled again only 30 feet further - called land rover and was informed there is a recall that is supposed to start october 14 - it is a fuel ignition problem - very dangerous - and needs a new fuel tank. Recall #05v37600.

Vehicle has a problem that allows water to leak through the sun roof seal and front windshield seal. The water seepage is causing electrical problems with certain vehicle functions; namely the inability to use the key fob remote to lock and unlock the vehicle. The electrical problems at this point appear to be intermittent and resolve themselves several days later, presumably after the water has evaporated. When driving the vehicle after it has been rained on, the trapped water within the ceiling of the vehicle begins to escape and fall through the airbag ports on the a-pillar and from the interior light console. The issue seems to be a common problem with this model when reading various reports on the internet.

One day after starting the vehicle, almost every warning light illuminated, suspension did not inflate to normal height, parking brake stayed on, and display showed "hdc failure." restarting vehicle fixed the problem. Are they using windows now?

After coming to a complete stop, the engine revved up, almost getting into an accident, had to stand on the brake in order to keep it from taking off, immediately shifted to neutral, engine continued racing while in nuetral.

I purchased this vehicle 5 weeks ago.i have already made 2 payments on it.in those 5 weeks, i was able to drive my vehicle in satisfactory condition for about a week.while driving the vehicle in the second week, i experienced power failure and i called the dealership.i was told that i probably had "bad gas" and that if it did not conitinue to lose power, i would be all right.the problems shortly ended after about 10 miles, so i continued.that same week, i got an alert from the car's computer that told me to contact the dealership immediately.i did so and the dealership picked up the vehicle.it was returned after 3 days and i was told the only problem was that the gas cap was not put on tightly enough.the first of the next week, i was on my way out of town, and experienced the same loss of power.i drove it immediately to the dealership and after waiting an hour, was told it would take about 2 hours to fix the problem- a vaccum leak.when i did not receive the car back 2 business days later (after multiple calls to the dealership), i was told the engine had a noise and they did not know how to fix it.now i am being told they are bringing in a specialist and hope to have it back to me in a few days-"it will take several more days, but we think it can be fixed."they have now had my vehicle for a week and half for this last problem- and do not forsee getting it back this week.i do not think that a $53,000 brand new vehicle should be experiencing these kinds of mechanical problems.

The contact owns a 2005 land rover lr3.approximately three years ago, the engine light constantly illuminated on the instrument panel.as a result, the vehicle was constantly at the dealer being repaired.two years ago, the contact received a recall notice regarding the fuel system.the vehicle also has other issues and the dealer installed a new compressor.the contact is still constantly having to take the vehicle to the dealer for repairs.the vin and nhtsa campaign id number were unknown.the failure and current mileages were 38,727.

We have owned the lr3 model of land rover since dec. 2004, and since the car was six months up to the present day, the care experiences total system failure at any given random point in time.when this failure occurs one can not control the car, can not brake, can not accelerate, it just freezes, and stalls on you.i was driving on the highway in june when this first happened and this occurred to me three times in a row within hours.i had to wait for the car to kick itself out of its frozen trance and regained control.took it the next day to the service and they could not re-create the problem so they did nothing.i also felt they did not take my complaint seriously.it happened again in august and then in september and they said the car needed software updating, or at least that was the excuse they gave to me that occasion.i kept expressing my concerns that it was more than software but to no avail.then soon after, i could not turn the car on, the car would stall with frequency and some more complete failures.so again i took it back in, and they experienced this failure condition twice in their own service area.the car was in service for almost two weeks and they concluded it was "cable" troubles.there is no guarantee in our opinion that this will not happen again and if it does this seriously poses a threat of life or risk of injury not only to me, my spouse, but also to my children, or others on the road.i am not willing to take that gamble and we are in discussions onreplacing the vehicle or if all else fails we will go to litigation.

The consumer's vehicle stalled on two separate occasions.the vehicle was taken to the dealer but they have not been able repair the vehicle (2005 land rover lr3).

Fuel leak while driving. I was driving through a mountain pass (during extreme fire danger btw) with the windows open. I smell gas... I pull over when i finally can about 2 miles later. I see gas pouring out the right rear of the car, on top of the hot exhaust pipe... Causing the gas to vaporize and smoke. I opened the fuel door and removed the fuel cap. Sounds like a liquid was violently boiling came from the filler pipe. A passing motorcyclist who was behind me stopped to let me know he thought i was also leaking gas. The problem continued as i tried to drive another leg of 3 miles or so. Finally i stopped the car for about 30 minutes. When i restarted the car, the problem seemed to go away. Major safety issue here... To me it seems like there was some pump at work, pumping gas from the tank out to the overfill hole of the filler pipe.... I have no other explanation for what was happening. Apparently i am not the only one with this problem... Others have talked about it on lore owner forums.

Dt:the vehicle has sensors that inform pedestrian's when it is backing up and about to hit someone.the back up sensorswould take up to 15 seconds to engage after the vehicle was already backed up.the warning system sometimes works fine and sometimes. *sc

I owned a 2005 land rover lr3 . I had a fuel tank leak. When i fill up the gas i will see gas on my drive way. I found out there is a recall on this problem.but the land rover dealer told me my vin# is not on recall.

Pulled into parking lot and car stalled. Tried restarting and passerby shouted to stop reporting fuel gushing out from under car. Had car towed and fire department clean up fuel. Had this happened on the highway car could have caught fire. Parts saved.problem resulted from cracked connector on fuel tank sending unit. This resulted in the fuel line separating from the fuel tank so that the fuel pump was forcing fuel out and it was spreading all over the underside of the car.sending unit was replaced and problem fixed.

The fuel tank connector got disconnected as we tried to start the car. This resulted in fuel leaking on the garage floor. This happened when the key was turned.fire department was called to mop up the fuel spill and to verify that the car is safe.car was taken to dealer to be repaired. Dealer wasn't sure what caused the problem but as per the dealer, it was due to the fuel connector getting dis-connected and he installed the fuel connector again.

Vehicles fuel tank had just been filled, after approximately ten (10) miles the vehicle began to exhibit a low power situation and then began to stall at idle, such as stopping at a stop sign or stop light.vehicle was limped approximately two (2) miles to owners residence where it was allowed to sit for approximately forty-five (45) minutes inside a closed garage. Upon returning to the garage a strong odor of fuel was present. Upon examination of the vehicle it was found that a steady drip of fuel was coming from an unknown location on the underside of the rear of the vehicle, and dripping onto the exhaust pipe, suspension components, and then on to the garage floor. After approximately five (5) minutes the dripping began to slow and then stopped. Approximately one (1) quart of gasoline had spilled onto the garage floor leaving a puddle approximately five (5) feet in diameter. The spill was immediately treated with a spill absorbing material (cat litter.) land rover north america, roadside assistance was immediately contacted and required the owner to immediately contact the local fire department to come verify that the vehicle was not a threat to the residence and would be safe for flatbed transport to the nearest authorized dealer. Upon inspection, the dealership notified the owner that the vehicles fuel tank had a faulty internal valve and the fuel tank would need to be replaced. Dealer was informed by land rover north america that the fuel tank with the revised valve was on backorder and no date was given for the replacement part to arrive. Dealership service department informed the owner that they were attempting to find a replacement tank by contacting other dealers and personal contacts.

Since purchasing my second hand 2005 land rover lr3 in 2013, i have had problems with the fuel system. I experience drivability concerns such as hesitation, misfire, stalling, rough running, and difficulty in starting, and the 'check engine' light is almost always illuminated. I have been concerned about these issues, and have spent a lot of money chasing the problem by replacing equipment and spending a lot of time in doing so. The identification of this issue being a recall issue for 17263 other land rovers lr3 (nhtsa recall campaign id 05v376000) not discovered until i was researching the value of my vehicle in order to sell it. While on the kelly blue book website, i was alerted there were 2 recalls for 2005 land rover lr3. After reading the first recall description, i realized that i have had the identical issues with my vehicle. However, after inputting my vehicle identification number, the site stated that my vehicle vin was not associated with the recall. I found this to be very disconcerting, as i have the identical issue. I then called land rover to speak directly to the manufacturer. I was told that my vehicle was no longer under warranty. I stated that safety recalls were not associated with warranties. I was then asked for, and provided my vin. The representative stated that my vehicle was not covered under the recall and i had no recourse. I asked him, given that over 17,000 2005 land rover lr3 had been recalled due to the exact same issue, what were the odds of mine having the same piece of faulty equipment. He again stated that since my vin was not listed, it was not covered by the recall, and i have no recourse. He then dismissed me and hung up. My wife had the stall issue occur this morning on her drive to work at 06:30 am!

The contact owns a 2005 land rover lr3. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled intermittently after 10 to 15 miles of driving. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the alternator was defective and needed to replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 05v376000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the vin was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.

Please make formal note that the 2005 land rover lr-3 i purchased new in 2005 (vin # below) from the dealer at land rover north scottsdale has an endemic and systematic door lock safety fault problem. Since my purchase of my lr-3 i have had to replace the passenger door [2 times], rear passenger door, rear driver door, and now the driver door lock has failed. These doors fail to lock when engaged. They click as if locking, but are open if handle is pulled with minimal force from inside or out. This has proven a safety issue when passengers are inside and assume the doors are locked, or when a child is inside and the driver assumes child locks, and or locks are engaged and they actually are not causing a risk of fall or death from the vehicle. Further, we became aware of the final of 4 door lock failures when an uninvited panhandler pulled the "locked" driver door open. Luckily no incident or injuries were occurred. None the less this is a major issue when all 4 doors fail. I have a friend with a 2008 lr-3 and the same has happened to 2 of his doors. This has been a major, major expense to repair these locks yet land rover has failed to acknowledge that a problem ever existed. Statistically speaking 4 out of 4 doors is a 100% failure rate. Please investigate this major safety issue immediately, and check for any deaths or harm that may have occurred due to land rovers failure to acknowledge their faulty lock system in these vehicles. I have records showing all the replacements and would be happy to testify and provide documentation. [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

1) application of electronic parking brake produced loud grinding sound ending when extremely loud squeal was heard and dash lights illuminated.2)occurs intermittently and prevents use of the parking brake when car is parked.3) unit was recalibrated but will need to be replaced.per the dealer the brake actuator unit has been back ordered for the last 5 months.leary to use parking brake unless absolutely necessary for fear that unit will fail completely with no replacement part available.*dt

After coming to a complete stop, the engine revved up, almost getting into an accident, had to stand on the brake in order to keep it from taking off, immediately shifted to neutral, engine continued racing while in nuetral.

Vehicle after coming to a complete stop stationary with engine running in drive, ie, stop light, stop sign, and pressure is applied to gas pedal the vehcle fails to move forward for several seconds, more pressure is applied to gas pedal to elicit response from vehicle and suddenly everything seems to 'kick' in resulting in a violent jolt as vehicle suddenly revs up and begins to move.delay between forward movemet and applied gas pedal is several seconds and happens often.vehichle has been inspected several times with no visible issues and no error codes believe to be present.when reading on the online land rover forums this is a very common problem and has resulted in what is likely to be several thousand transmission replacements before 85,000 miles and is not safe.continues to take place since vehicle purcahse.i have replaced transmission at my own cost and defect continues to take place!

Front and rear differential whining resulting in needing to replace

Front differential roaring and feels like major drag anytime you are not applying gas petal. Had front differential service done and fluid was full of debris.this trucks suffered from a faulty coating on the inside of the differential housing from the factory but landrover never issued a recall and expects someone to spend 4000 to replace the part. They do not sell any type of rebuild kit or parts. Ihave continued to drive my lr3 and it decreased the fuel economy not to mention the roaring noise. The noise is continuous when driving. Rear locking differential started humming. Currently (within 1000 miles) it got very loud. I was told by the dealer it needs to be replaced at $3,200 out of pocket costs. After checking online forums seems like this is very common issue and known to manufacturer. They should make national recall for all vehicles exhibiting this problem.

Dt the vehicle hesitated when trying tostart it. Whenslowing down to stop it lurched.also did this in reverse. Tookto the dealer, and they have not been able to duplicatethe problem.it has stalled out a couple of times coming out around a corner. Then it lurched at slower speeds under 20 mph.upon acceleration, the vehicle hesitated.

Transmission defects.we continue to experience loud ?clunking? noises from the transmission after accelerating from a near stop.this results in a very hard shift when the transmission slams into 1st gear, rather than stay in 2nd and continue to shift from there.

There was very low power, the windows would roll down slowly.consumer found a way to unlock the transmission by looking in the owner's manual. Thenwas able to get it into drive butthe emergency parking brake engaged.

Today, i was driving my 2005 land rover lr3 (which i have owned for a week) down a major highway when all of a sudden it completely locked up and slammed to a stop in the middle of the highway. The engine was still running, but the car just made a grinding noise in every gear and was completely immobile. The police could not budge it, even in neutral. The tow truck driver had to pull it up onto the truck as it would not even roll. When the land rover dealer took a look at it, they said that the front differential was completely gone/ruined and that was "unusual". A new front differential is now on order, and they expect that will take 3 weeks. We feel lucky to be alive and not to have caused a serious accident.

Driver and passenger seatbelt shoulder anchors have numerous cracks in them. I discovered this while removing internal body panels to diagnose rain water leaks/ingress.

Shoulder bracket manufacturing defect, all years, probably lr4 as well as eoropean and international models discovery 3 and 4, range rover sportcasting splits and cracks at multiple points around bolt hole over time. 4 of 4 units i inspected with similarr failure. There was no incident, frayed seatbelt, ordered used replacement, they were as bad as the one on the vehicle, all were cracked. No accident with the vehicle. Factory original and one additional unit available for inspection.

Water coming into thedriver and passenger carpet through the sunroof drains.

The contact owns a 2005 land rover lr3. The contact stated that the dashboard was cracked over the air bag area. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was confirmed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000. The vin was unavailable.

I have a 2005 lr3 landrover that is perpetually out of alignment because of the structural design of the car.this defect causes my tires to wear excessively fast and have caused me to have completely bald tires on the inner halves of all four tires.once the dealership replaced the tires because they were in such bad shape.this december another set of tires was badly worn and the dealership realigned the car making it more unsafe to drive.this problem can visually be seenby looking at the car.the car wears through tires approximately every 15,000 miles. My dealership acknowledges the problem, but will not fix the car.there is great potential for injury due to the car never staying in alignment and the excessive wear of the tires.

The contact owns a 2005 land rover lr3. The contact stated that the rear liftgate fell on her head. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the failure was caused by the strut bolt which fell into the gate housing. The dealer stated that the entire gate would have to be removed to correct the problem. The contact called the manufacturer who took a complaint but offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000 and the current mileage was approximately 59,000.

Rear window on land rover lr3 dropped on my wife as she was unloading vehicle. The vehicle body attachment of the passenger side support arm failed and this problem has been reported within the land rover service organizations but is being treated as a warranty problem.my wife was hurt in this accident as she was hit in the head.i consider this a product defect that should be considered for a recall-- since land rover already acknowledges this as a problem.

Comments: we currently own a 2005 landrover lr3, in 2006 the company issued a technical service bulletin regarding their suspension which causes dangerous uneven tire wear. The company acknowledged the issue and at the factory changed the suspension of subsequent models, however they allowed current owner such as ourselves and our three children to drive unsafe vehicle without notification. We have had severely uneven and potentially deadly tire wear twice with this suv. I don't know how many other vehicles are being driven with this unsafe issue. Landrover north america refuses to take responsibility. Someone is going to rollover these suv's or have a high speed blow out. Does someone have to die before landrover takes notice?we thought you should know to try and save some lives.

The air ride suspension is totally dead. There was a recall years ago but i didnt get it done. Now when i search recalls its not there, because someone thinks the work was completed. That is simply false. I can barely drive this vehicle now because the left side dropped due to air suspension. The service guy told me the suspension was built improperly.

The tires are wearing excessively.the problem was corrected at 18,000 miles service interval with an alignment and reappeared at 30,000 service.the dealer suggest changing the tires more often.they can not explain the cause.

Air suspension fault cant go over 35 miles per hour bad compressor dealer says. Now i'm hearing this the number 1 problem and complaint of my model.

All four tires had to be replaced because of excessive wearing and cupping on the inside of the tires. All four tires were worn to the wear bars, with lessthan 16,000 miles on the vehicle. If this was not personally noticed, a failure of a tire could have lead to a roll over of the vehicle. The tires were replaced by the dealer with myself paying for them, and to pay for a wheel alignment. I purchased my lr3 with brand new tires. The vehicle had 33k. I am now at 50 and have experienced wear and vibration for some time. The dealer stated they had never seen inside tire wear like mine before. Since reading the blogs apparently this is a big problem. There is currently a class action law suit on this. This is an intermittent problem i consider a safety concern.the speed control will shut down when the brake pedal is depressed.however, when the brake pedal is depressed to shut off the speed control the brake lights come on, this probably startles the person following, their reaction would be to apply their brakes causing a possible chain reaction. Land rover doesn't seem interested in trying to correct the problem.they tell me it doesn't happen when it is in the shop so therefore the problem doesn't exist.

My sunroof on my 2005 land rover lr3 has same issues as below that was on a previous recall issue of a 2008 lr2 land rover recall number #08v055000 the vehicle was built with a sunroof. Failure of either the left or right hand side sunroof guide rail can occur when the sunroof is operated. Excessive stress can develop in the over-molded bracket which could lead to cracking during normal sunroof operation. If cracks occur and propagate in a certain area of the guide rail, fragments of the plastic over-mold material may detach from the guide rail and obstruct the operation of the sunroof. This is not a part in which you need to bring it in and service per the service manual to prevent mechanical breakdown, and the customer can have caused this then normal use.

Due to cold climate package, vertical lines in windshield used to heat windshield, distorts vision in the dark. Impossible to see clearly at night. Oncoming headlights or street lights or brake lights distort vision and creates a prism in the glass. This is causing a safety issue for me and makes the vehicle dangerous to drive at night.
