I own a range rover 1976 discover sport , and the infotainment system seems to reset while driving down the road. I paid over $55,000 for a luxury suv, and i didn't expect it to reboot at 70 miles per hour.
Door latch doesn't engage, door opens freely while driving. 2nd time reporting, no feedback! brand has a issue. Dealer wants to charge for diagnostic and fix. It's a manufacturing flaw
I was driving down the road, suddenly the 'critical warning message' and 'brake' lights came on. The car lost power quickly, with the momentum the car ran few hundred feet to stop. Then, the word 'gearbox fault' and 'battery charge' appear. The engine still run, but i was completely stuck, could not rotate the gear. When i tried to turn on and off the engine and rotate the gear some time the 'critical warning message' and 'brake' lights came on and sometime the word 'gearbox fault' and 'battery charge' came on, but still could not rotate the gear.after 10 mins, suddenly, i could rotate the gear into neutral and push the car out of travel lane with the help of police officers.it happened two times, the first time (7/25/2016) just two days after i had the car (200 miles). After three visits, land rover said the problem was repaired with computer re-setting at the first time, then part replacement at the second time and finally computer setting at the last time. Now, the problem happened again on 10/8/2016 (3000 miles). I feel i am lucky. The first time, i was on outside lane on i-4 (orlando), i could get out of traffic quickly. The second time, i was on a local road: sumter blvd. (north port), i could not get out of travel lane, but the car behind me had enough time to stop, crash almost happened.
The turbo charger in my 2016 lr discovery sport is bad and now needs replaced, otherwise there is minimal acceleration (acceleration worse than of a small compact 4-cylinder car). It is also very noisy due to the broken part.it only has 60k miles on it. Learned from a respected auto body shop that services high end vehicles this is a very common problem.
Pulled into parking spot.put car in reverse.pressed gas.car jumped forward at a fast speed.rolled over curb and through fence.hit brake.stopped an inch before going down a 5 foot drop.
The contact owned a 2016 land rover discovery sport. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled in traffic and the transmission warning indicator illuminated with a beeping noise. When the vehicle was powered off and restarted, it was able to drive normally. The vehicle was later taken to jaguar land rover west chester (1568 west chester pike, west chester, pa, (610) 436-0600) where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the transmission twice. On another occasion, the steering wheel seized while driving and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. The contact crashed into an electric pole. There were no injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
The emissions light came on while driving in town.upon diagnostic testing, it was the turbo charger that went out. Computer read out was "turbo boost building up pressure". The mileage was at 47,000 miles only. I had to replace it and replacement was $4825 new or $3661 for remanufactured. This is something that has to be replaced or would further damage the engine. The printout on my receipt read "cracked exhaust manifold (turbo), internal fault solenoid replaced turbo/charger/exhaust manifold. Replaced wastegate solenoid."
Twice now, i have come out of the auto start/stop mode after being idle.the engine seems to lag on engaging and both times my steering has been lost.both times, my speed was not more than 5 mph and it took a few seconds for the car's steering to return.once i was turning at a light after being stopped and once it was at a drive thru.it has been to the dealer once and they said they fixed the problem, but it will be on it's way again.
The reverse light on the driver's side will not illuminate when the vehicle is in reverse.i have replaced both bulbs and 5 amp fuse.i believe the issue might be with a fault in the reverse light switch.the light does not illuminate in any driving condition.
When filling up the car with gas..the gas will not flow at a fast rate.you have to pump the gas very slow or it will over flow; the pump will cut off; or it will spit out gas.this is every time you go to the gas station.the vehicle is stopped; turned off and no electronic devices are being used.i have tried different angles on the nozzle but its the same or will not work.i have also tried different gas stations but no luck.i have requested to get this fixed and it was told to me its not on recall.i have had several cars and have never experience this before.i brought my car new in august on 2016.

This problem happened twice, six months apart, the rear drive shaft shears off in the middle of the rear part pass the center hanger bearing near 120km/hr speed, the vehicle sounds like a tires blew off and the vehicle become stranded. There was no lights or messages, no noises what so ever or any indication of a problem,it just happens out of no where.the independant shop were not able to condemn any other part in the vehicle, no codes were present in any module, the first incident was in december 2020, 101000 km mileage, second time in july 2021,mileage 105250 km. The damaged that the second incident made were very severe, both driveshafts failed from the same spot, both were dealer parts. I have pictures, videos, photos and both old parts.the dealer declined the warranty on the part too.

Seat belt issue: seat belt to the 2nd row, right door side activating with alternating red (x) and green (check mark) not able to discern that my 10 year old son was in the car.on 12/16/19, the same error occurred with my 9 year old nephew.once he exited the car, despite no seat belt being in the slot, the alarm kept beeping saying that it was and that it needed to be addressed.transmission:the car has been "jumpy" in terms of transmission changes since we first bought the vehicle.it has had transmission computer upgrades with the most recent in 10/19 having no effect.it now is shifting out of drive or sport while driving at various speeds on the highway.the d (if in drive) will flash and there is no acceleration capability.both my husband and i have experienced this event and getting on and off the highway and not being able to accelerate can pose a serious safety issue.i was not able to accelerate while getting on the highway with my son and his friend which could have led to an accident with rear end involvement given that there was a car close behind me trying to accelerate as well.i am not sure if this is the same recall problem that occurred with the 2015 model but land rover has been notified of this issue and they have stated they can't find anything wrong when they do the diagnostics.on 12/13/19 i contacted land rover warwick ri due to my concerns and was told to not put any more money into the vehicle and to "get rid of it."on 12/14/19, i notified land rover of norwell regarding transmission concerns and was told that there were no issues they were aware of. Cape cod land rover also was made aware of the transmission concerns and they were the ones that did the last computer upgrade which again did not fix the issue as described.please assist as the safety of myself and my family is now of concern.

Car was purchased as land rover certified preowned car 3/30/2019 at 35133 miles. Car was driven from city of bakersfield to city of inglewood/los angeles on 5/5/2019 when it stopped at costco shopping ground, with message on the screen reading :special program off". Land rover roadside service was activated, that called aaa independent towing vehicle that towed the car. On 5/6/2019 it was towed to land rover retailer hornburg in city of santa monica. On 5/8/2019 the service location center texted me with information that "it appears the car is not starting because of the brake line that's been cut. The sensor for the brake pedal is not activating dueto this, so it won't let the engine start. We need to replace the right front brake line that has been cut, which would cost $725.46." on follow up texting, the technician at land rover santa monica wrote that "the request for repair authorization was rejected by land rover since it's outside influence, not a defect of the car" on 5/9/2019, he wrote again that "for a lack of a better word, we'd say 'malicious circumstances." he mailed a picture of the cut brake line, following a voice discuss with me, he inquired if "i have a problem with anybody that can do that, hence i became suspicious, that a cpo car i just bought with current mileage of 35971 (driven about 600, nodmv registration plate number yet, how could such brake line cut. The car i drove from bakersfield to los angeles/inglewood, it did not stop on the freeway of intercity street and i drove it to a shopping center while it just stoppedwithout warning except the message on the dashboard screen of "special program off". I really don't understand of cpo from 35133 miles purchased 3/30/2019, to 35971 miles incident date 5/5/2019.

Door latch doesn't engage, door opens freely while driving. 2nd time reporting, no feedback! brand has a issue. Dealer wants to charge for diagnostic and fix. It's a manufacturing flaw
When using keyless entry, walking up to door and opening without unlocking, the door latch won't hold closed. Causing the door to swing freely. I've had to try to lock and unlock or start and turn off my truck. After 15-30 min, it will usually latch. But there's no concrete remedy. The first time it happened i didn't realize it. Taking a right hand turn and my door flew open. It's super dangerous! the first time it happened was june 6th.this has happened about 4 times in the past month. After researching the issue, i've found that this is common in range rovers. Land rover hasn't been a help. You can't get through to their main office. The local dealership wants to charge me for diagnostic fees and repairs.

The door will not lock while in motion or at all.the intermittent problem has occurred twice while owning this vehicle.the driver can fall out during driving. The problem was reported to the dealership on three occasions and they could not find a solution they oiled the locking system and it sat overnight and in the morning they were able to shut it.no warnings at all. Similar recall on the range rover: land rover is recalling about 65,385 of its 2013-2016 range rover and 2014-2016 range rover sport suvs because doors that appear to be closed may not actually be latched, raising the risk that occupants could fall out, according to the national highway traffic safety administration.
In february i noticed that my car was leaking oil. I took it to the mechanic and they said it has two holes in the transmission. They said it was a technical bulletin ltb00909nas1. Consumers are being put at risk with oil leaking from the transmission to all over the car. At not fault of the consumer.
