The contact owns a 2020 (na) lance camper 2285 travel trailer. While the trailer was being towed, the system switched from electric to propane operation and the contact noticed an odor of burning plastic. Approximately five hours later, the contact noticed a fire behind the refrigerator. The contact's spouse extinguished the fire. A fire report was not filed. There were no injuries. Scotts recreation (located at 2239 auburn rd, turner, me 04282, (207) 224-8444) was contacted and arrangements were made to have the refrigerator replaced. The other damages were also repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure.
