2008 recreational trailer.consumer writes in regards to spring shackle was not properly welded onto the frame of the vehicle.it appeared the spring shackle was spot welded, instead of a solid weld, when fastening the spring shackle onto the frame. The spring shackle broke at the spot weld area and destroyed a tire . It cost $200 plus, to build a bracket to repair it, so the spring shackle could be put back on the trailer. It had to be drilled and bolted onto the frame.
