On august 28, 2014, erath high school teacher died in a single vehicle accident when the kia sorento she was driving ran into a ditch.her fatal injuries were due to the non-deployment of vehicle's airbags even though she was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.(it is just a terrible and devastating problem when nhtsa fails to provide correct safety problems with vehicles like the kia sorento which apparently has problems with issues of airbags not deploying; which is also contradictory considering nhtsa hasissued a bulletin requiring all car manufacters to have "advanced airbag systems" in place.)
The passenger side air bag light stayed on, even though there was no one sitting in the seat, or if some was sitting in the seat.the dealer stated that this is normal for this seat.the dealer stated the sensor would be replaced, however the service center has refused.
Kia sorento rental vehicle. Consumer writes in regards to the electronic stability control in winter driving conditions *tgwthe consumer stated twice while going uphill on icy streets with snow on top of the ice, he came to a complete stop because the traction control progressively braked to a stop as each wheel slipped. The solution was to put the car in reverse and back up since it would not go forward. The traction control was counterproductive on slippery slopes. The consumer stated if the vehicle was equipped with limited slip locking differential, he would have continued to go forward.the consumer stated when he made a turn on an ice-covered main street, the electronic stability control stop the right front wheel and brought it a stop.the consumer stated he no longer had control of the vehicle.the consumer stated selling vehicle, which lock up on is was not safe.
At approximately 3750 miles noticed a loud sound coming from passenger side of car it was like a rattling sound when driving over certain parts of the freeway. When i arrived at my destination i went to the passenger door and noticed the bolt connecting the passenger seat to the floor of my sorento was loose therefore the seat had become loose i have instructed the dealer to please check all bolts and tighten if necessary as it is a safety issue. I've never owed a vehicle that has screws loose on front seats as well as 3rd row back seats.

While driving 60 mph the driver heard a popping noise which came from the rear of the vehicle.the driver was able to pull the vehicle over to the shoulder where it was determined that the rear passenger side tire blew out. The vehicle was towed.

Letter from congresswoman love on behalf of constituent re awaiting the completion of an nhtsa investigation before his company can provide a fix for a kia motors recall.kia motors were receiving reports of their panoramic sunroofs on the kia sorento were shattering.
