Since we bought the car we had a recall on january of 2000 for electrical system.after that we hadproblems with engine light going on that was due to transmission problems,wish in fact had to be repair twice and replace once.also air bag light turn on due to alternator problem on 02/05/2002,alternator had to be replace.iwould like to see a resolution to this problem because of the matter of fact the car shoulb be under the lemon law.thank you.

Kia.consumer writes in regards to vehicle mechanical failure.the consumer stated the starter coil was replaced three times. The dealer informed the consumer, there was a total of six on the vehicle. On one occasion, the consumer was driving on the freeway, when the vehicle decelerated down to a crawl.

Possible wiring harness failure causing multiple failures (interior light, clock and burning of the dashboard). Mjs
Kia optima. Consumer writes in regards to engine failure. *ldthe consumer stated the dealer intially advised the engine needed to be replaced and would be replaced under recall. The dealer later stated the ignition coil were all that needed to be replaced. The consumer requested to have the a written letter stating the refusal to perfom the engine recall.

I thought the brakes were going bad in december, they shafed the rotors. In less than three moths they replaced them on march 2, 2000. They have replaced the brake pads three times. They have replaced the exhaust. They have two recalls. They have had to fix my transmission. The pin stripes are now starting to come off. The rubber peice around the back passenger doors are also comming off.( dot number: 0 tire size: 14 )
Cpsc: i1550051a. Kia forte. Consumer stated the vehicle tested positive for mold inside of the vehicle.*lnthe consumer stated he had the vehicle tested, due to a persistent odor when the ac was on.
Fuel leakage from the fuel distributor assembly in 2001-2004 rio and rio cinco. *mr *scthe consumer received a recall notice regarding the fuel leakage, however the dealership was no longer in business.

Brakes on the rondo have been fixed 2 times and look at 2 more times i still have problem the dealer says that there is nothing wrong with the brakesbut the rotors are black and blue from heat scoringbut they say nothing wrong with the brakes.

Kia soul.consumer writes in regards to vehicle accident and steering gear assembly recall notice.the consumer was involved in a roll over accident. The consumer received a recall notice a day after the accident. The vehicle was totaled.the consumer referenced recall # 15v736000.
Molding on the vehicle has been replaced on four occasions, however one molding has fallen off again. Mjs

Letter from senator ryan on behalf of constituent re two of the kumbo tires blew out, no response from nhtsa or kia dealership. Sustained around 1000k in damages would to be compensated (reference file number: 558968) *ldthe consumer stated while driving with less than 10,000 miles on the vehicle, the tires blew out. The consumer stated the manufacturer was contacted and did not offer any assistance due to not having access to the failed tires. Updated 08/31/2017
