On 15 july 2011 we purchased a new 2011 keystone springdale summerland 303bhs travel trailer from beckleys camping center in thurmond, md. During walk-thruat beckleys shop the a/c was not off so we turned it on & the camper power shut off. Our sales rep reset the power under the sink& turned the a/c on & it popped off again. This occurred a few times & our sales rep indicated they had a lot of stuff plugged into the shop and that could be causing it leaving us to believe it should be fine.we brought the unit home.at home we have a 120 volt 30 amp rv outlet.we had our older '05 conquest camper plugged in the day before so we know the outlet is working.we plugged the new camper in & turned on the a/c & it popped off the electric in the whole camper immediately, so we repeated steps as we did at the dealership.the 3rd time of turning the power back on in the camper there was a pop & smoke rolled from the tv, microwave & under the counter where the converter was.we returned the camper to the dealership & informed that keystone said it was "our" fault, not a manufacturer default therefore manufacturer warranty will not cover damage (tv, microwave, & converter). This is a manufacturer power problem which could cause a fire & kill people but keystone blew us off & said for us to tell the dealership that we are using a common household plug, but rest assured, we are not. We have a 120 volt 30-amp rv plug. Keystone refuses to take responsibility for their factory faulty fire hazard.even the service mgr, [xxx],at the dealership where we bought the rv said it appears as though this is a mfr faulty equipment problem & should be covered by keystone & he has been trying to resolve the issue with keystone to no avail. There is a possibility, as far as we are concerned, that the camper will burn to the ground with my children inside.not only should keystone be responsible for fixing the converter & other damage, they should recall the campers.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information a
