2011 keystone springdale travel trailer. Consumer writes in regards to tires and axle assemblies *tgwthe consumer stated the tires and axle assemblies were not adequate for the specified loads. With less that 20,000 miles of highway travel, both axle assemblies and all four tires failed.the consumer believed keystone should be held responsible to replace or repair the axle assemblies to adequately support the advertised load, and reimburse for the repairs that were already made which were caused by the design or manufacturing error as well as provide an additional warranty. The repair shop provided the consumer with a repair estimate for $1,269.37 to replace the remaining spring and repair the wheel well damage. On july 25, 2012 all four tires were excessively worn on the outer edges of the tread, to the point that the steel cord was exposed.on august 12, 2012, the wheel bearing on the front axle on the left side of the trailer failed. While having the wheel bearing repaired, additional problems were found. The rear leaf spring was broken off approximately four inches from the rear shackle, which caused the trailer to settle on the left side, and it also caused the tires to damage the top of the wheel well. The second leaf on the left front spring, was broken off, approximately five inches from the equalizer, at the point of the connecting band. The left side equalizer bushings showed excessive wear. The underside of the wheel well on the left side showed considerable damage extending through the protective covering and into the insulation. The plastic fender skirt on the left side was damaged. The front and rear left springs on the right side were flattened. The right side equalizer bushings showed excessive wear and the underside of the wheel well on the right side showed damage into the protective covering.
