Upon further inspection by the contact, he noticed metal fatigue and poor welding. The contact had made arrangements to have a dealer examine the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified and agreed to pay for the repairs due to the structural defect. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
