The contact owns a 2008 keystone laredo fifth wheel trailer. The contact stated that the spare carrier was defective. The spare tire was loose and flopped around on the rear of the vehicle. The contact owns a 2008 keystone laredo. The contact stated that the trailer front frame key pin assembly hook separated from the vehicle with brokenwelds. The manufacturer repaired the front assembly by providing additional support to the welding. The rear hangers for the center wheel assembly separated from the frame. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The tires also needed to be replaced because the structure was not aligned correctly. The failure mileage was 5,000 and the current mileage was 10,000.
The tire pressure chart on the side of 5th wheel r/v states tire pressure should read 85 psi while maximum pressure on tires states 65 psi. We were told to follow tag on r/v when we purchased new in feburary 08. We have reported this to dealer over six weeks ago and no repair at this time.

The contact called the manufacturer who stated there was a recall nhtsa #10v063000;component: tires: temporary/emergency spare tire but his tire carrier was not included. The vehicle was not repaired.updated 01/13/11 the consumer stated keystone sent him a new spare tire holder, but it is the same model and it also loose.the spare tire holders do not hold the spare tire tightly and as a result the tire wobbles causing excessive wear to the holder and increased chance of failure and release of the spare tire while towing a trailer.
