Consumer states one year ago they purchased a2010 keystone cougar xlite 26sab fifth wheel. Consumer states problems with carbon monoxide detector *tgwthe consumer stated the carbon monoxide detector was not displaying a green light. After removing it, the consumer discovered it was not battery operated, but rather hard wired. The wires were not connected to anything.the screws to the drawers were not long enough and the slides had no support.the cabinet doors under the sink came completely off, due to the screws not being properly secured.the door and surrounding frame came off and it was discovered it was kept in place with staples and not screws.another motorist alerted the consumer that the bumper had come loose from the back of the trailer and the spare tire was dragging on the road. A repair shop re-welded the bumper using metal l's to hold it in place.

While driving 65 mph the trailer hitch caused the spare tire to fall off due to the its weight and the way it was welded onto the rv. The manufacturer was contacted and informed him to take it to a repair shop and have it inspected. The failure mileage was 2,000.updated 02/10/11the rear bumper cracked at the welds causing rear bumper with the spare tire mount to fold down and drag on the highway. Updated 05/06/11

The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the front end of the frame was fractured in two places near the main hitch area. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The vehicle did not calculate mileage.

The fifth wheel then separate from the frame as well as the bolts in the bed and kitchen area.the trailer was taken to the dealer who inspected and found a defected welding that caused the fifth wheel pin and bolts to fail. The trailer was not repaired. The trailer did not have a mileage to be report.

Driving down i-5 the weld between the interior part of the wheel rim and the exterior part of the rim broke.our 5th wheel trailer is a 2010, but notice that a recall has been made on some of the 2011 keystone trailers.[bowman fixed consumer comment:" this is a keystone cougar, not what is shown under the description on page 3"].
