Consumer trailer tire blew out due to a faulty axle assembly. The flange that supports the wheel fender of the trailer cracked and broke from the axle weld causing the fender to twist sideways.the fender edge then gouged both the inside and outside tire sidewalls causing them to blowout.the consumer believes that the flange was not designed properly nor was it of sufficient strength.the manufacturer was contacted but refused to acknowledge the problem or inspect the trailer.

On july 21, 2017 my kendon trailer, carrying my two suzuki dual sport motorcycles snapped completely apart aft of the coupler and the safety cable attachment while travelling on the interstate. The trailer, with motorcycles left the roadway and tumbled into a roadside ditch.the both motorcycles were totaled and the trailer was damaged beyond cost effective repair. The neck of the trailer where 3 round structural steel tubes come together, aft of the coupler completely severed.there were no obvious visible signs of a defect prior to the accident, nor did the trailer feel weak when it was moved by hand and pulled to the tow vehicle.the tubes broke near where they were welded through a triangular collar piece that the tubes passed through.i've noticed newer designs of this trailer differed structurally in this area, likely correcting this dangerous flaw.

Tube frame failure. Weld connecting lower tube broke away from tube body causing additional stress to upper tubes resulting in stress cracks in the six o'clock non visible area. Additional use of the trailer at 50% load capacity resulted in failure of the remaining tubes while towing. Causing trailer and motorcycle to flip at speed , cross 2 lanes of traffic and coming to rest against center divider. Resulting to total loss of trailer and motorcycle.

-both of the contact's fenders fell off of the trailer while he was driving at the speed of 55 miles an hour.the most recent incident was on january 15, 2006 which resulted in a flat tire .there were no injuries or fatalities during the incident or damage to the vehicle. Per the contact the trailer could not be driven until the tire was repaired.the contact owns a trailer manufactured in carson, california. The contact has replaced both fenders on the trailer.
