30 minutes into riding cruising 65mph motorcycle all of a sudden started making a clack clack clack noise, lost power, rpms started dropping, clutched in and coasted to side of road, bike shut off, would not turn back on. Kawasaki dealership diagnosed problem saying engine would not make a full rotation. Problem ended up being a valve welded itself into piston, also metal fused spark plug hole completely. Engine no longer usable. 6,060 miles on motor.

I have a zx-6r ninja 2007, and i am having problems with the valve cover gasket.it leaks oil consistently.this is an on going problem with the 07 and 08 ninja zx-6r.. This is a hazard because if oil reaches our back tire we will end up sliding which could potentially cause serious bodily harm, property damage and in sever cases death. This is a very simple problem that can be corrected, if not corrected it can lead to possible life threatening consequences and extensive property damage. On a personal note kawi needs to step up to the plate and do the right thing regarding the defective valve cover gasket.. The correct valve cover gasket part number is 11061-0378, the defective part number is 11061-0247.

I have a 2007 zx6r kawasaki with only 1700 mile on it and i have noticed my head gasket leaks and a tapping noise in the engine. I don't know if this is safe. If the engine locks up at high speeds then it hurt and possible kill me. It don't sound to safe.
Cams and tappets going bad in a 2007 kawasaki zx-6ra ticking is coming from the engine that has been associated with causing failure and the engine to seize.(i am not sure of my vin # but please contact me if you need me to find it).
I own a 2007 kawasaki ninja zx6-r. I have recently developed an oil leak as have many of my fellow riders. It is the same issue with all of the bikes. Valve cover gasket leaks and issue with cams and tappets. If oil was to come out at a wrong angle i could get the back tire saturated and cause a very unsafe condition for myself as well as anyone in the area around me. The motorcycle only has 2052 miles on it and is only 1 1/2 years old. No need for a gasket to be bad already, i would like this situation rectified as quickly as possible.
