Broken speedometer cable, 2 times.cable has been replaced twice already, this latest incident of breakage will be the third replacement.the cable was left dangling both times and could have possibly caused the front wheel to lock up.there have also been other mechanical issues with this motorcycle which the dealer has fixed for me under warranty.this bike has less than 3,000 miles on it and is less than six months old.
Tail light inoperative. For the second time since i've owned this motorcycle my tail light doesn't come on unless i jiggle the key before i ride it. This morning a highway patrol officer hit his siren to get my attention and told me my tail light was out and to get it fixed. I had the dealer replace the ignition switch last year and know it's doing it again. This is very dangerous because i leave for work at 5am and i could easily get rear ended due to no tail light. Of course the dealer tells me my bike is the only one that does this.
Consumer complaint concerning 2006 kawasaki concours bike safety. The consumer was told that the part was not available.
My concern is with the handling capabilities of my 2006 kawasaki concours motorcycle.the motorcycle is top heavy and is extremely unstable when riding at highway speeds in traffic.the wind turbulence from the other vehicles makes the bike very wobbly and difficult to maintain complete control.part of the problem is with the windshield design of the bike in my opinion.when i talked with my dealer about the matter he stated that most people who buy this bike change the windshield to help make the bike more stable.
