I was driving making a right turn and the engine started making a loud banging noise. It made it3 times and the engine just cut off. I almost got into a accident. On top of that the right fender on my bike keeps popping out of the socket and just hangs there i called kawasaki dealership about it several times.. This is my first bike..
When coming to a stop, downshifting, or just coasting to make a turn the engine will stall and die sporadically. I have to start the motorcycle again and hope traffic does not hit me or cause an accident.
The problem i am having with the kawasaki ninja 300 se is the stalling issue that many others have reported. The issue never happens in the morning, it happens after i drive the bike then it sits outside. The time before i ride it again could be a half hour, or 8 hours. I start up the bike and let it warm up a couple minutes, then begin driving. No problems up to this point. I then get near my first stop sign or stop light and ease off the throttle and pull the clutch in to down shift. The second i pull the clutch in, the rpm's drop and the bike stalls out. This has happened 5 times in the last three days i have driven it. One time i was in the middle of an intersection trying to start my bike, this is a safety problem and needs to be resolved. I called the dealer and they said they have never heard of the problem, but it is a well known issue on the http://www.kawasakininja300.com/ forum. Please see http://www.kawasakininja300.com/forum/11-ninja-300-issues-troubleshooting/928-ninja-300-stall.html where there are over 54 pages of complaints.
The contact owns a 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, he attempted to down shift but the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle was not taken to a dealer for inspection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20. The vin was unavailable.
The first time this bike stalled on me was around 400 miles. I warmed the bike up for about 5 minutes then pulled out of the driveway. Got down the street about 2 blocks and let off the throttle to allow the engine to brake itself and around 15 mph i clutched in and applied both brakes. Then i noticed the bike was rolling without any engine power so i looked down and my power was off. Luckily this was in a residential neighborhood so i pulled over and didn't get ran over. I had no clue what was going on thinking it was just a one time thing and started the engine again and went on. However, just a few days ago it happened again. The bike at the time has about 2800 miles. This time was worse. Just as before i warmed up the bike for about 5 minutes before taking off. I left work and went down the street about a block and allow the engine to brake itself before i use the clutch to down shift and apply the brakes. It stalls. There was a lot of traffic where i work so i managed to pull over and restarted it. Went about another block and as i was slowing down it stalls again. This happened four times in about 10 minutes. The fourth time it happened i pulled over to the gas station that was (luckily) right next to me. Got off and checked around the bike to see if anything was wrong and decided to adjust the idle higher. Started the bike and revved it a few times to see if the idle readjusts or stalls again. Took off and started riding home. Starting off and slowing down was sluggish the first few times after i left the gas station but it got better now but i have to keep adjusting the idle to keep it from killing itself. My idle is set now to like 1500 rpm. And on top of that i'm now hearing some kind of vibration from 5000-5500 rpm range in all gears that was not there before. It appears to be coming from under the gas tank and the engine area.
The motorcycle frequently stalls when slowing down, such as to stop in traffic. This issue typically only occurs at low speed (under 20mph), but does occur very frequently, and seems unrelated to other factors such as temperature or duration of continuous operation.
The motorcycle stalled several times in traffic, when the clutch was engaged. This happened several times since but the engine always restarts immediately.
I was driving about 35mph downshifting slowing down for a stop. When i got to about 20mph i pulled in the clutch and the engine died, i panicked a little but was able to get the bike stopped. I started it back up while in traffic and committed to my turn and proceeded to the next stop. The bike did the same thing again, this time i was doing between 10-15mph and as soon as i pulled in the clutch it died. I was able to start the bike back up and continue on. Now on a straight road i tried to reproduce the problem again by just cruising about 35mph and letting off the throttle and pulling in the clutch and the bike died once again. I then proceeded to my local dealer for them to look at the bike and they were unable to find any problem or replicate the issue. It seems that once the bike gets up to operating temp, mind you it was sitting in 95+ degree heat, it runs ok. I can easily replicate this by leaving the bike in high heat/direct sunlight for a few hours and then for the first two or three stops i make it will cause the issue. My dealership has called kawasaki and they denied there being a problem with the bike.
I was approaching a stop sign in second gear. I applied a normal amount of brake pressure to both the front and rear brakes as i pulled the clutch lever in. As soon as the clutch was disengaged and the engine rpm's slowed the bike's engine stalled. I was not going slow enough for the engine to be stalled by the transmission, it was still at least 6000 rpm when i applied the clutch.
I was traveling 40mph, while attempting to down shift, i pulled my clutch in, the bike's rpm falls to zero and the engine dies. There was no way to save the bike, blipping the throttle with the downshift did nothing to save it from stalling. This happens everyday that the bike sits in the sun while i was at work. The bike usually dies at the same traffic light that i stop at, usually it dies 2-3 times down the road at traffic lights then the stalling problem goes away. Now, i fear for my safety, what would happen if i happen to upshift in that corner and the engine stall, having cars behind me could be a dangerous situation, because they wouldn't know why i slow down suddenly while coming to a stop after a corner. I don't want to get rear ended because of the bike's problem.
The contact owns a 2013 kawasaki ninja motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was restarted and began to lunge violently. As the contact tried to regain control of the vehicle, another vehicle crashed into the contact's vehicle. The contact sustained a fractured shoulder. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Hello, the kawasaki ninja 300 abs bike stalls when slowing down holding the clutch, the engine cuts off and the bike looses power, i almost got rear-ended yesterday due to this issue. Looks like many kawasaki bike owners are having this issue and the manufacturer is not doing anything to fix it. Please act on this since this issue can cause accidents.
Just purchased the ninja 300 with 2 miles on it, first 2 weeks was fine, until i started to take it to work. Every time i would leave from work my motorcycle will stall at every stop light/sign until i hit the freeway (basically any time i pulled in the clutch to slow down). After i get off the freeway the motorcycle seems to be fine. I thought maybe it was because i had to do the first service, this is my first bike so i did not know better, when i took it in for the break in service i let them know of the problem, they told me the rpm's might just be a little low and they would raise idle. I got it back took it to work and the problem was still there. Only seems to happen in the afternoon when the sun is out, it has never happened to me in the mornings.
As i was cruising along i came up to a stop sign i pull in the clutch to down shift and the rpms dropped to zero, i held the clutch in and pushed the starter button the bike started back up. This has happened 8 times in the passed 2 days.
When coming to a stop, downshifting, or just coasting to make a turn the engine will stall and die sporadically. I have to start the motorcycle again and hope traffic does not hit me or cause an accident.
The engine on the motorcycle stalled when i pulled in the clutch to downshift.i was in 6th gear and going around 40 mph and needed to start slowing down to make a turn up ahead.when i pulled in the clutch to downshift, the engine totally cut out.the engine started back up again when i released the clutch, similar to a roll start, but i was still in 6th gear, so the bike barely got going and shuttered quite a bit.i immediately downshifted a couple of gears and that balanced it out.i then turned into my apartment complex in 3rd gear and drove around to my apartment.i pulled in the clutch to slow down as i reached my garage location and the bike stalled again.at that point, i was close enough to my garage to just coast the rest of the way until i stopped in front of my garage.that was the first time the engine stalled on this bike and it has happened again since that time.i have read numerous reports from other owners about this very same issue on the kawasakininja300.com forum.there are now 60 pages of reports and discussions on this issue in the forum.here is the link for your reference and researchhttp://www.kawasakininja300.com/forum/11-ninja-300-issues-troubleshooting/928-ninja-300-stall.html.if this engine stall were to happen at the wrong time (in the middle of a turn, when you suddenly have to speed up to avoid an issue, etc.), this issue could easily result in a serious accident and/ or fatality.this is obviously a very serious issue and kawasaki needs to take action to correct it before it results in an unfortunate incident.i have contacted my dealer about this and they have contacted kawasaki, but kawasaki has yet to acknowledge to my dealer that this issue exists on the ninja 300.any help you can provide to get this issue acknowledged and resolved for the hundreds of owners it affects would be appreciated.thank you.
After about 15 minutes of coasting approaching a stop sign i pulled the clutch in and the rpm dropped causing the engine to shutoff. Had about half a tank of gas properly maintenance with the idle set around 1400 rpm.
I was riding my motorcycle and coming to a red light.i held in my clutch to get ready to downshift, before i could even start downshifting, the engine stopped running and i had to start the engine again when i was at the stop light.
When slowing down from almost any speed , as you down shift the gears the bike will die completely, thus forcing me to stop and restart the bike, even in highway occurrences . Steering bearings are faulty after only 100 miles and almost through me off the bike in multiple turns.

Had it parked at work and when i left to come home it stalled out five separate times in 2 miles.every time was when i was slowing down. It would just shut down, no warning. First time i pulled off side of the road to avoid being rear ended by a truck. The second time slowing for a stop sign. Same on the third , fourth and fifth. By the time i made it home i was a nervous wreck. This is ridiculous the bike only has 27 miles on it. I'm really ticked off and this is not safe there needs to be a recall.

On top of that the right fender on my bike keeps popping out of the socket and just hangs there i called kawasaki dealership about it several times.. This is my first bike..
I own a brand new stock ninja 300. On the day i first experienced this problem, it was probably about 80+ degrees outside. I had allow my bike to warm up for at least 5 minutes. Took the bike out and went down the block. I was probably in 2nd gear when i came to an intersection where i prepared to stop. I pulled in the clutch all the way and applied the brakes. Upon pulling in the clutch, the engine shut off. I didn't even realize it was off until i went to try and pull off again and realized my bike wasn't even running! this happened 2 more times as i took the bike around the block to put it back in the garage. The very next day, just to make sure i wasn't crazy i decided to test the bike out again. This time i let it warm up a good ten minutes at least then did the same exact thing. Took it down the street and around the block. Low and behold, the first chance i try to slow down, i pull in the clutch and again the bike shuts off. I brought it back to the dealership. Their tech rode it and it happened to them too. I called kawasaki and basically all they were able to tell me is the bike needs to warm up to an optimal temperature. I disagree and think there is a serious safety issue with this vehicle and it needs to be resolved. But it does not appear that kawasaki is doing anything about it.
The contact owns a 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 2,050.
I have found that during approximately the first 10 min you are riding the bike, if you are above 3500 rpm and pull in the clutch and coast for an extended period of time the vehicle will stall. I have learned to watch for the stall but it will still catch you off guard on occasion when you let go of the clutch and want to go and the bike lurches and throws off your balance. Especially in a turn!!!
Traveling at the speed of 40 miles per hour, was approaching a stop light. Depressed the clutch lever to downshift, the engine rpm fell to zero and engine died. Came to a complete stop, restarted engine and resumed my travel. Stopped at my local bank, pulled out of the drive of bank on to highway, traveling approximately 5 miles per hour, depressed clutch to shift into second gear, rpm fell to zero and engine died, backing up traffic and putting me into harms way. Pushed bike to side of road and restarted. The same situation happened (4) more times on this date.this is not the first incident in which this has happened. Prior to this event it has occurred no less than (6) times before. The occurrence of the engine stalling increase more and more.this is becoming a real safety issue!
I got a brand new kawasaki ninja 300, but have issues with it stalling. I allow it to warm up for at least 5-10 minutes before riding, as instructed by kawasaki, this does not help. Every morning i come to a stop right after i start my ride to work, when i pull in the clutch the engine will shut off. This happens almost every day and persists until getting on the highway and driving a few miles before it actually warms up. I brought it back to the dealership, their tech rode it and it happened to them too. I called kawasaki and basically all they were able to tell me is the bike needs to warm up to an optimal temperature. I disagree and think there is a serious safety issue with this vehicle and it needs to be resolved. But it does not appear that kawasaki is doing anything about it, they are calling it 'normal riding conditions'.
I was riding the motorcycle on a public street. A vehicle was approaching me on a narrow road, when i downshifted from 6th gear to 5th gear to slow down, my motorcycle's engine stalled out. I purchased the motorcycle new from the dealer with only 5 miles on the odometer. Since i've owned the bike (purchased on 07/17/2013) the engine has stalled when engine breaking or downshifting several times now, with the most recent occurrence's happening on 07/25/2013.
Hi i have a 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 and i been having problem of slowing down and the engine would stall doesn't matter any gear after 3rd gear slowing down would just stall, also problem with getting into the gear after it stalling.
The motorcycle stalls continuously when approaching a full stop. This is extremely dangerous if you should ever need to speed up to safety and the motorcycle engine stalls. This happens at least 3 to 4 times during my daily commute of 8 miles each way.
The bike shuts off as soon as you pull in the clutch to start braking. It has done this numerous times since i bought it brand new with 0 miles. I have owned my bike for about 3 months and have just done the first maintanance at kawasaki dealer. At first i thought it was because the bike was cold but even after a 10 minute warm up the bike will shut off almost at every stoplight/stop sign when i pull in the clutch unless i constantly rev it to a complete stop.
The bike stalls when i slow down or pull in the clutch.its dangerous.the thing will just keep turning off for the first 5 miles.kawasaki tells us its normal but it is not.
This motorcycle has a serious and dangerous flaw with the engine shutting off when it is not supposed to. After a sufficient warm up period i will drive off, and when i pull in the clutch while slowing the bike shuts off. This is a hazard to me and other drivers around me. Please make kawasaki issue a fix immediately.
After warming up the motorcycle per manufacturer's recommendations, i proceeded to ride.upon coming up to a stop sign, i decelerated, pulled in the clutch and the engine stalled.i attempted to start the engine and after three tries got it started.the next stop sign was 50 yards further down the road and the same thing happened (the bike stalled).this process was repeated at another stop sign for a total of three times that morning.temperature was approximately 77 degrees.in the afternoon, the exact same sequence was repeated.temperature was 88 degrees.this engine stalling behavior has also happened on several other days.
The motorcycle will stall intermittently while being driven and creates a dangerous operating environment for myself and the other vehicles around me when power is suddenly and abruptly lost.it seems that when the clutch lever is pulled, the engine will stall. Kawasaki and the dealership have been very unhelpful and are putting the owners of these motorcycles at risk of serious injury. There are numerous owners of these bikes with the same issue, apparently it is quite widespread. This issue has existed since my first drive in the dealer parking and still continues.example:http://www.kawasakininja300.com/forum/11-ninja-300-issues-troubleshooting/928-ninja-300-stall.htmlplease put the onus on kawasaki to protect the well being of their riders and fix this issue.
I was coming up to my neighborhood gate and i pulled my clutch in and started braking to stop so the gate can open, the engine then stalled for no reason. I was in 1st gear at the time this happened and i have my idle set to about 1800 rpms which is a little high so there should be no reason why this bike stalled by pulling the clutch in and braking. I have read on various kawasaki ninja 300 online forums there have been many other 2013 ninja 300's with the same similar problem.
My first bike, i ride her when there isn't traffic,3 days/wk from may-july '13. I rode her to work monday. As i approached a light at 30 mph, light turns red, i start to slow down, as i pulled the clutch in to down shift to a lower gear, my bike stalled on me. The idle dropped, no warnings or anything, it just turns off. I turned her back on, seems to start up fine. I proceeded to the stop light to get onto the freeway. I''m driving her on the freeway, going my normal speed, but something felt different, she wasn't pushing at her normal speed. As i sped up on the freeway shifting from one gear to the next, she wasn't giving me the right power. Her rpm sounded off as if i was red-lining on 3rd gear, but rpm was 4000.i exited the freeway at about 55 mph, started to downshift to slow down for traffic lights.i downshifted to slow. Continued to down shift from 3rd to 2nd, as i pulled in the clutch, the idle dropped & it stalled again. I started her back up again and proceeded to go with a green light. I am going about 15-20 mph and pulled in the clutch and applied the brakes to come to another full stop but the idle dropped and stalled again. What i did to prevent her from stalling on me after turning her back on at a red light is instead of holding in the clutch waiting for the light to turn green, i slowly let the clutch out, barely making her move, at the same time holding down the brakes while giving her very little gas so that the idle stays upw/o stalling.i called my brother at work, told him the problems i'm having & how it stalls when i pull in the clutch to slow down. Occurs when i go under 20-15 mph. Turns out thatmany people have this problem & they informed kawasaki, but was told its normal..its a safety alert! i stalled about 20 times in 15 mins, this issue seems to occurs when approaching stops or slowing down under 20 mph.
The contact owns a kawasaki ninja motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis but the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 114.
I was coming to a stop. When i pulled the clutch in. The engine stalls and one time so far i nearly got hit by a car.
Connecting rod bolts back out around 6000 miles on a lot of bikes including mine starts with knocking noise let me know what to do
When coming to a stop, downshifting, or just coasting to make a turn the engine will stall and die sporadically. I have to start the motorcycle again and hope traffic does not hit me or cause an accident.

The contact owns a 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 motorcycle. The contact stated that when the clutch was applied, the vehicle stalled. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 50.kmj
As i was cruising along i came up to a stop sign i pull in the clutch to down shift and the rpms dropped to zero, i held the clutch in and pushed the starter button the bike started back up. This has happened 8 times in the passed 2 days.
Hi i have a 2013 kawasaki ninja 300 and i been having problem of slowing down and the engine would stall doesn't matter any gear after 3rd gear slowing down would just stall, also problem with getting into the gear after it stalling.
I have a ninja 300. It stalls when i pull in the clutch. I have had it back to the dealer, but, like other people they cannot seem to fix it. This is a real safety issue, as if this happens at a bad time it could easily cause an accident. Kawasaki needs to get a fix for this now.
The motorcycle stalled several times in traffic, when the clutch was engaged. This happened several times since but the engine always restarts immediately.
While driving down barker cypress i was approaching a light.i started downshifting and applying my rear brake.when i pressed down on the rear brake, there was a thug then nothing, no grip, no tightening, nothing but air.i did not have brakes.i realized i was going to hit the car in front of me, i swerved between the car, hit my leg on the bumper and laid the bike down.i had the bike towed to houston motorsports as the bike is under warranty.houston motorsports is refusing to honor the warranty on the bike for defective brakes.
Bad wobble thru handle bars on deceleration from about 100 kmph. If you lift your hands off the bars about 1 centimetre the bike slows down & bars shake very badly, has major potential to cause crash.the cure is to replace the stock bearings with tapered roller bearings.has affected every kawasaki ninja 250 since 1996 & the same in the 2012 & above ninja 300 due to poor bearing choice at factory & swame pats used on the 250 as well as 300.usually needs to be replaced around the 5000 kilometer mark with tapered roller bearings as wobble/shake is so bad.

After about 15 minutes of coasting approaching a stop sign i pulled the clutch in and the rpm dropped causing the engine to shutoff. Had about half a tank of gas properly maintenance with the idle set around 1400 rpm.
