I was riding my teryx 4 on a grass farm path and something either stick or rock kicked up from the front tire and broke through my floorboards.kawasaki is aware of the problem and has changed the floorboard design and added metal guard plates however they are not recalling the defective floorboard.the weak floorboards are unsafe and i am afraid of being injured if a stick came through the floor.
While driving on a trail in tennessee, i heard something hit the passenger floor board and sure as the world there was a hole in my passenger side floor board where a small stick had broke through!!!!!!!luckily, nobody was hurt!!!!!! kawasaki knows there is a problem, that is why they are replacing all these floor boards, the problem is, they are replacing them with the same thin brittle floor boards that come with them!essentially no repair!
I was driving on my property with my family and a friend to show them the property we just purchased.i was driving on a road that i have driven down hundreds of times before at around 5 mph when a pine branch about 2 inches around broke through my floorboard.i called my dealership and found out that kawasaki was willing to replace both floorboards free of charge with updated ones that should prevent this from happening again.i received the machine back and in three weeks i was driving in my field to feed my dogs when i was going down to them in my field another pine branch much like the one the time before broke the floorboard again hitting my foot off of the accelerator pedal, i was traveling 2 mph.
