The release cable on the icatch trailer snapped and the vehicle cannot be removed from the trailer.i called my local dealer and they told me they do not support this model trailer but couldn't tell me who does.i emailed best protection - brp who confirmed it was part of an active recall for jet ski ydv01666c010 and said they would look into the situation and have not called back since the initial call on tuesday, june, 26, 2012.
This is a boat trailer sold under the seadoo name but made by karavan.it has hard rollers that hold the personal watercraft from the bottom.these hard rollers have caused damage to the hull and the watercraft now sinks.i contacted seadoo as this equipment is still under the extended warranty however they require me to work through my local dealer and they informed me it was not going to be covered.they told me to contact seadoo but they refuse to talk to me on the phone and will not respond to my emails about this issue.i have always used the trailer according to the operator's manual.all recalls have been completed.i have pictures of the damage.you can also see the hull is likely damaged where each roller contacts the hull.only one has the hole.the others have a clear depression that wasn't there when i first purchased this watercraft.
