Gas tank overflows every single time it is filled up, if it wasn't for me having to hold in the nozzle the entire time and noticing it is overflowing, it would just keep overflowing gas onto the ground.

Chrysler file no. 10175031. This also relates to nhtsa campaign no. 94v106000. This is the second time the fuel tank gasket cracked or broke causing fuel and fuel vapor leaks which is most probably related to the fuel tank lining separation which chrysler "just discovered" on my vehicle. Chrysler has rejected my claim to replace at no charge the fuel tank in which the lining has separated. However, this is not a moving part and is a very dangerous defect in design, manufacturing, or assembly. I also request a copy of chrysler's file(s) in these complaints. I also request a copy of all technical and service bulletins relating to these complaints and the gas tank and fuel system. Chrysler is advised that i will not be spending over $600 to replace this fuel tank and any and all resulting damages will be squarely chrysler's liablity. There is premature rust and resulting structrual failure caused by chrysler saving money by not applying a clear coat top coat over the paint on this vehicle. The outside mirrors fold in at interstate speeds and cannot be tightened.

When mechanic states gas tank is not pressuring through the fuel line.mechanic stated there is no heat shield to protect gas tank, allowing gas tank to melt.consumer feels vehicle may blow up.mrthe consumer was notified that the fuel line was worn, so theline was replaced, and the vehicle failed the emissions exam again due to pressurization in the fuel line.the vehicle was taken to the dealer again and was informed that where the gas tank was dropped, it had no heat shield, and had melted spots with two holes in the tank.the mechanic stated that this was a fire hazard, should not be driven until repaired, and a manufacturing issue.scc

I have previously written to you under reference #10429043, for a leaking gas tank.chrysler has since blown me off and not addressed this recall or safety issue.i now carry two fire extinguishers in the car awaiting the impending explosion and/or fire.in addition, chrysler took my car to their bayside jeep dealership and charged me $217.75 to install clamps on (i believe) the gas line.that lasted about 6 months before the leak started again.[xxx] (no last names are given) from chrysler advised me that they would refund my $217.75, which was never done.today, i read an article in the ny daily news that chrysler is dodging the recall by the nhtsa on gas tank problems with many years of jeeps, which proves my point more that they are distancing themselves from their responsibilities.i would like my forever leaking gas tank finally fixed and i would like my $217.75 refunded; or they can offer me a brand new jeep as a replacement, as long as the gas tank doesn't leak. Otherwise, i would like to be fully involved in any class action law suits against chrysler. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Complaint regarding safety recall to replace vehicle's park brake pedal assembly.*mr

Took jeep to dealer to fix the emergency brake. (recall) the same day of service while driving @55mph, in 5th gear, rear brakes locked up. It's no longer has a complete transmission,(it's stuck in one of the gears, no 1st or rear, and no neutral unless clutch is pushed in. Took it to dealer that did the recall. They said it was our problem. The brakes shouldn't have locked, and wouldn't cause transmission to fail. The brakes were no longer locked when dealership/mechanic looked at it 2 days after the incident. (there were two dark skid mark on pavement where it happened.dt
