The consumer states that he had taken the vehicle in for to have a recall repaired.when the consumer had gotten home, he determined that the fog/driving lights. All of which worked before the vehicle was taken in for the recall to the park brake.the consumer determined that the fog lights were a result of a wire that was disconnected when the mechanic was in the fuse box under the hood.the consumer changed the two fuse but they immediately burned out.(maybe this was created by the repairs done)the consumer had taken the vehicle back and could not be given an accurate account to as why the vehicle had an electrical problem created by a three bolt park break fix.*scc

Vehicle will stall suddenly in extreme hot weather usually does it within any time.consumer must wait for vehicle to cool down, and then it will crank back up.

Recall # 94v106000 fuel: fuel pump; after replacing the fuel tank unit sending gasket, fuel continues to pour out of the fuel tank.

I'm the original owner of a stock 1991 jeep wrangler with 2.5 liter engine at 106,000 miles. The fuel rail has failed and is leaking at factory installed plugged end of the rail at the opposite end from the fuel pressure regular. The leak is between the plug and the rail. This should have been a brazed sealed endor a threaded plug instead of a compression fitting of a plug. The leak produces a spray of gasoline near the exhaust manifold which could lead to a fire. Based on my research by contacting 3 dealerships in the washington, dc area, jeep has stopped producing this part and there are no stock aftermarkets fuel rails available.i'm looking into junkyard parts but question whether if they could be defected, too. Also, at jeepforum.com there was also failure on a 1994 jeep wrangler. Please review this subject and see if there's a justification for recall.
Dt:1991 jeep wrangler.the consumer stated that gas poured out of the plastic tank.it cracked on the right lower corner.the vehicle was not taken to the dealership.the consumer did repairsby himself himself.but when he put more gas in the vehicle it began to leak again.the manufacturer has not been notified.

My fuel tank is the problem.it first started leaking in 1991 when i first got my jeep.it was repaired.then it started leaking again in 1996, and i took in, it and the recall covered that repair.then again in 1998, the tank leaked again.same problem each time.they said it was the fuel send unit, but each time they had to replace the gas tank completely.the only time the manufacturer paid for it was when i took it in under the recall.the other times, i paid for it.because it is the gas tank, it could easily lead to fatalities.i feel if the part for this repair is never going to be right, then they should continue to replace it as if the recall was still in effect. This is dangerous! after i blew up at the dealer the last time (pitre in phoenix), they tampered with my gas gauge and now it doesn't read accurately.they need to be put on notice that this is not acceptable to the general public -- the dealership's behavior as well as the manufacturer refusing to pay for the part.recall 94v-106.

The contact owns a 1991 jeep wrangler. While refueling the vehicle, fuel leaked from the bottom of the vehicle. The failure recurred several times. The fuel tank was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

After parking the vehicle, the parking brake released. This caused the vehicle to roll backwards, into a lake. The consumer manage to retrieve the vehicle and had vehicle towed. The dealership have been notified. *ph
Emergency parking brake releases on it own when not attended, vehicle will roll away. Contacted dealer. . consumer stated the emergency brake released 4 times when the vehicle was unattened, consumer purchased a new foot brake assembly on jan 27,1999 and installed it, however the problem reoccured.8jb

Nar 04/07/2003 mrwhen the consumer exited the vehicle, it rolled back, rapidly accelerated hit a curb and became airborne and disappeared over the cliff.the consumer beliveved the recall defect was the result of the accident..
The consumer had been waiting for parts regarding a recall for 3 months for the parking brake, however thedealer did not return the consumer's phone calls.

The seat belts ondriver's and passenger's sides hangout of the retractor ,causing the belts to get caught inthe door, the belts become frayed. The problem has been reported to the dealer. The problem has not been corrected.

Recall 92 v 148 000/ hydraulic:lines:hose:non-metallic: left hose is rubbing against the splash shield while driving. Dealer and manufacturer were notified, and they informed consumer that this vehicle was not cover under recall due to vin.

Nut/bolt which attaches the rear sway bar to the axle fell off.
All 4 replacement tires, firestone wilderness at p235/75r15 dot vdhl, showed signs of tread separation, tires had puncture marks, firestone gave consumer 1 tire, the other 3 had to be paid for, tires were reported to police department.
The consumer states that he had taken the vehicle in for to have a recall repaired.when the consumer had gotten home, he determined that the lighter and the instrument panel lights were not working;all of which were working before the vehicle ws taken for the recall of the park brake.*scc
Side mirrors on both sides of vehicle won't stand up.tt
Lugs nut were stripped and had to be cut off to perform recall work on rotors.
