The contact owned a 1993 jeep laredo grand cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle caught on fire as soon as he started the ignition. The fire originated from the engine compartment. The fire department and police were called to extinguish the fire. A police report was available. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was destroyed in the fire. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was unknown.

Electrical problem.

Engine module is defective orshorted out.indicatorlight constantly flashes. The problem results in abs brakes,/rear lights (brake and stop) failure. Engine coolant islow, but fluid is sufficient. The contact owns a 1993 jeep laredo.the vehicle was purchased on february 16, 2008 and inspected by a mechanic on february 18, 2008.the mechanic stated that the brakes were not securely placed on the vehicle and he does not know how the vehicle was able to bedriven.the mechanic also stated that the oil level was low, very dirty, the coolant overflow reservoir cap was missing, theserpentine belt was frayed and coming apart, the washer fluid compartment was empty, the air filter was very dirty, the brake fluid was muddy, the valve cover was leaking, both front corner marker lights do not work, the rear and front caliper bolts failed, and the caliper was digging into the rim with force.the mechanic also stated that the rear main seal, transmission case, and transfer case were leaking.the brake line was destroyed from front to back, the rear and front rims needed to be replaced, and the catalytic converter was blown out.the approximate cost to repair the vehicle was $3,000 to $4,000.a complaint was filed with the state attorney general and they are sending additional documents for the contact to complete.they also confirmed that the failures were covered under the lemon law and advised the contact to file a police report.the dealer did not mention any failures when the vehicle was purchased.the current and failure mileages were 175,001.

Anti-lock brakes lock up when vehicle hits pothole in the road while braking.

At the time the consumer recieved recall notice for front brake rotor consumer believes the rotors were working properly, shortly after installation of new rotors they began to fail, consumer questioning weather old rotors were replaced or if new rotors were defective.nlm

Water comes inside the vehicle when its raining, unknown water entry point.

Car shakes out of control almost causing an accident every time has been documented since time of purchase and has never been fixed it is very scary having children ride in the car and having the car shake out of control every car ride.the car shakes so bad on the freeway at certain points for no reason it is beyond scary to drive.
