Consumer's son was pulling intodriveway whengas pedal got stuck. This caused him to spin out of control, knock down a fence, and keep going, ending up chopping down a very large tree.upon impact,air bagsdid not deploy.driver andson, sustained bumps on the heads , but there were no serious injuries.
Dealer does not have the replacement part in stock, recall #639.
Consumer received recall on the jeep's airbag control module but dealer had no parts availabe, consumer call back 3 time to check on the status but the part still did not arrive, finally consumer took the vehicle to another dealer and they repaired the airbag control module. (oov-105)*et

The contact owns a 2012 (na) jeep cherokee. While driving, smoke appeared from the hood and the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (pomoco auto group, 12627 jefferson ave, newport news, va 23602) where it was diagnosed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified and opened case number: 33060075. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

The contact owns a 2011 (na) jeep cherokee. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate and the "service transmssion" indicator illuminated. The vehicle accelerated and failed to slow down, causing the contact to rear end another vehicle.the air bags did not deploy. Following the collision, the contact noticed black smoke under the hood of the vehicle. There was no fire and the fire department was not contacted. As a result of the collision, the contact suffered a back injury. The front passenger also suffered a back injury and the rear driver's side occupant suffered an injury to the leg. The rear passenger side occupant suffered an injury to the mouth. The driver of the other vehicle and two other passengers suffered unknown injuries. All parties involved were taken to the hospital for medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and sent an investigator who stated that the indicator illuminated due to the issue detailed in nhtsa campaign number: 16v529000 (power train). The vin was included and the vehicle was in the process of being repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 106,000.
Cpsc: i1570220a: jeep cherokee. Consumer states the transmission line cooler leaked two weeks after it was installed. *ssthe repair shop informed the consumer, the quality of the hose was not sufficient to handle the psi in the line running to the cooler.

I was driving toward baja,ca and notice the steering felt strange. The steering wheel was getting tight and odd feeling,as i was turning to the street of my hotel the steering then locked. The steering wheel was making a grinding noise i managed to pull in to the hotel parking lot and then the steering wheel would not move anymore. I then had to find a mechanic and buy the part for the vehicle. I was wondering if anybody has had a problem with this part.
A pinbolt fell out of the steering column, causing steering column to collapse.please provide additional information dealer is aware of the problem.ts.
