Low oil pressure warning, engine rpm started fluctuating and almost stalled. Vehicle has 1400 miles it, was advised by dealership that i will have to add a quart of oil every 1500 miles to the vehicle, and that they are aware that i should not have seen the low oil pressure warning but in fact the engine should have stalled. That they have heard others in a right or left hand turn their cars stalling out as they called a safety feature. That to me sounds unsafe

The contact leases a 2020 jeep cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph, an unknown burning odor occurred. The contact stated that another vehicle alerted her that the vehicle was on fire underneath. The contact quickly coasted over to the side of the road and as she exit the vehicle the hood exploded engulfed into flames. The contact stated that the vehicle burned down to a crist. The fire department extinguished the fire of what had left of the vehicle. A fire and police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and was later taken by the vehicle insurance to an insurance auto auction lot where it still remained. The contact called kelly jeep chrysler, 353 broadway, lynnfield, ma 01940, and informed them of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. The vin was not available.

Driving my vehicle during rush hour traffic when the check engine light came on and a throttle issue message flashed, vehicle experienced a drastic loss of power causing an unsafe driving condition for myself and other motorists. This vehicle was purchased new with only 8 miles on the odometer, currently has 500 miles, vehicle has the 2.4 liter engine and automatic 4x4 transmission. Contacted the jeep dealer whee i purchased the vehicle and they did not mention that there could be a known issue with this jeep, however after some research i found an article on the same identical issue being reported by multiple jeep owners of the 2019 year model with the same 2.4 liter engine, see: https://www.consumerreports.org/car-recalls-defects/2019-jeep-cherokee-recalled-over-stalling-risk/ based on the article that i found it seems like there is a software update that needs to be performed in order to correct the issue, however some drivers still had problems after the update was done. I was asked to bring the vehicle to the dealer on monday, some jeep owners also reported that after 4 hours of the vehicle sitting with the engine off, the problem goes away, making it difficult for the dealer to replicate the issue during diagnostic and there may not be a code stored that can be pulled by the service department. I hope that nhtsa keeps an eye for this, if the problem is a known issue by now to chrysler-fiat and no fix has been applied to current year model jeeps, then chrysler -fiat may be acting in "bad-faith" and knowingly selling vehicles that should probably be part of a nationwide recall campaign, also there is a serious safety concern about a vehicle that is rendered powerless while operating on a highway or in our case, having to drive on the steep hills of the pacific nw as part of our daily commute.

Engine light came onthe 29th day of ownership, with odb code p0139.the one o2 sensor was replaced, driving back home after the repair the engine light came back on.took it back the next day same code p0139, this time they replaced the ecm/pcm computer.after almost two weeks the engine light came back on with the same code.i purchased this car with on 7 miles on it and it's been in the dealership 3 with less than 2k on it.

Vehicle does not warn or apply brakes when it should, i can easily overtake a vehicle in the same lane and drive right up to the rear bumper of the car ahead and will get zero warning.

Vehicle does not warn or apply brakes when it should, i can easily overtake a vehicle in the same lane and drive right up to the rear bumper of the car ahead and will get zero warning.

I took my foot of the accelerator to apply the brakes and the car continued to accelerate even as i applied the brakes. I had to apply the brakes for a mile or two until i could safely pull over. Once i pulled over and completely stopped the rpms went over 7000. I turned the car off and restarted it. The rpms again went over 7000. I let the car sit for a few minutes and started the car once again. The car operated just fine after this. We took the car into the dealership and they could not duplicate the problem.

Vehicle stalls anytime it idles or comes to a stop. Stalls while in reverse or drive. Stalled several times in reverse backing out of driveway. Stalled while trying to go straight after coming to a stop at a stop sign. Stalled in the middle of an intersection while trying to make a left turn after being stopped, waiting oncoming traffic to clear. Stalling in an intersection could have caused serious injury or death to myself or proceeding oncoming traffic through the intersection. When vehicle stalls, the emergency parking brake is activated and requires the car to be put in park and restart the vehicle. After stalling, engine has a hard time starting again. Check engine light comes on after stalling. Vehicle was purchased new with 10 miles on odometer. Currently has 950 miles on odometer and is not drivable. After trying to find the problem for over a week, my local jeep service center said that they found raw fuel in the hose from the purge valve, charcoal filter, and other components. Fuel is overflowing into these components of the vehicle, which is a manufacturing issue. Fuel pump is said to need replaced, which is a very common problem with 2019 models. This needs to be recalled on 2020 jeep cherokees, as well.

The contact owned a 2020 jeep cherokee. The contact stated while driving 69 mph in windy weather and passing another vehicle, the hood inadvertently unlatched. The hood ajar warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to allen samuels chrysler jeep dodge ram of hutchinson (1421 e 30th ave, hutchinson, ks 67502, (620) 665-5567) and was informed it was flex hood and working properly. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The vehicle was taken to marmie chrysler dodge jeep ram (1724 10th st, great bend, ks 67530, (620) 792-2571) where the hood was adjusted and the switch was replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 3,900.

1-20-2020 purchased a new jeep cherokee latitude, we purchased the car with 4 wheel drive and all terrain tires for our needs, gravel, mud, snow, flooding etc.in or about 12-1-2020 we received an recall w43, we thought it had to do with the bumper being melted by the exhaust.the recall stated tire rub and exhaust tips.well needless to say they performed the recall, which i was suspect of because i think they are trying to hide a defect in manufacturing of the vehicle. Well anyway they repaired the vehilce to there liking, they replaced the exhaust, and replaced all four tires with 18" rims and street tires. And they did not replace the spare tire. I believe this was done to alleviate any defect that the all terrain tires would show and cause more problems. Aka warranty.now i dont have the off road capabilities and 4 wheel drive safety that i had when we purchased the car. With these street tires which are not rated for sand gravel snow etc, dont work on 4 wheel drive vehicles, and cause me to lose mileage, now i have a car that was purchased, the 4 tires were changed, only 4 rims were changed and i have no off road capabilities. I paid for the tires that were on the vehicle, i paid for the car to have off road and 4 wheel drive caqpabiltys and now i have noon. Not even the right spare.

On and off the highway the steering sticks when trying to stay in the lane which leads to oversteering and constant weaving in the lane and sometimes going over the lines. The transmission also shift very hard and at times will not shift when it should. I was told these are normal in this vehicle.... It is not normal!

The vehicle was in motion. The vehicle made a notification on the cluster saying 4wd system unavailable, service required. The vehicle then began to shift ruff and the only way you could get it to point a to b is if as soon as you started it you put it in sports mode. The vehicle went into the shop on 10-15-2020 and came out of the shop on 12-4-2020 due to them not being able to get the part which was a power transfer unit. The part got delayed multiple times. After i got the car back on the 4th it started making a rattling noise from the front end like something was loose. I messaged the mechanic and advised him of the issue and he told me to take it in the following day and he would look at it. Unfortunately he got sick and i finally got back ahold of him on monday the 7th to look at it. He said it seems like something is out of torque and that he would get ahold of me the following day to bring it in so i could have a loaner vehicle. I have since heard from him. My car also made an error code of auto start/stop system not responding yesterday the 10th of december which i notified the mechanic and have yet to get a response.

Vehicle has been makinga clanking sound when coming to a full stop.sound seems to be coming from directly under the vehicle.sound goes away with esc turned off.jeep dealership was able to duplicate sound, but have not found the problem.

I purchased a brand new 2020 jeep cherokee last january and my 4 wheel drive sensor came on in november. My dealership got me in the first of december and told me it's my ptu. They stated the part was on back order till the first of january. I asked if i could get a loaner till the part came in and they stated they don't provide loaners for that long of time. I let it go and decided today to give them a call with an update on my part for my 4 wheel drive. They stated still don't have a date for when the part will be in. I explained this is crazy because i bought a brand new 4 wheel drive vehicle to have for the maine winter and haven't had 4 wheel drive at all this winter. He said he was sorry and will call as soon as they know more maine

Vehicle stalls while in motion on city streets and needs to be put into park and drive again to move. Vehicle has 85 miles on it. Purchased 4 days ago. On day after purchase vehicle stalled while going straight on 2 instances, it stalled on a right turn on 2 instances, it stalled at takeoff after being parked once, it stalled when trying to back out of parking space 3 times on reverse. On day 3 the vehicle stalled on right turn once, going straight once andwhile exiting parking lot the vehicle stalled and the engine shut off completely while in motion. Warnings when car stalled initially was just a blinking 'd' light on dash and gear shift with instructions to 'shift to park or neutral, press brake + select gear'. Purchased the vehicle 10/2020, we had our first snow 12/2020 got in the vehicle and there was a puddle of water on the passenger floor board, took the car into the dealership, was told the ice and snow got under a seal on the windshield made it expand and caused the leak, they "repaired" it.had no problems, until it snowed again 1/2021, this time got in the vehicle and there are puddles of water on both the passenger's and driver's floor boards?not sure why a vehicle that was sold with a "cold weather package" can not handle the snow and ice???maybe it is just me but i do not think a vehicle with just over 7000 miles should be leaking water inside??maybe i just have too high standards?my husband does clean the vehicle when it snows, we are not the people that drive with4 inches of snow still on the vehicle, we make sure the it is clear of snow and ice.

In less than a year we have had to replace the windshield 2 times already. Both using oem replacements the first from an extremely light impact of the wiper being put down from the standing up position after cleaning the windows the second for now known reason. There is no impact marks just a crack going across the bottom of the windshield. When contacting auto glass replacement centers we were told this is a very common issue on cherokees since the glass is so thin now. Both times the cracks spread across the bottom of the windshield making us think that maybe the heat or the heated wipers are causing part of the problem(we live in ri so heat in the car is used often for over half the year).

The contact owns a 2020 jeep cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear windshield exploded without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed. Neither the manufacturer nor an authorized dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,200. The vin was not available.
