The contact owns a 2017 jayco alante. While driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle independently veered from left to right. There were no warning indicators illuminated. A local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed an alignment and the steering needed to be adjusted. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 720. The vin was not available.
I smelled burning rubber while driving on i40 going to arizona from california, i parked the vehicle to a rest stop. When i inspected the vehicle the compartment/storage flooring is uneven, when i inspected the underneath part i saw plastic parts melted to the catalytic converter, no fire but it created a hole 6x6 in diameter. I emailed the dealer and waiting for reply, this happen friday june 30th 2017.
When running the refrigerator,norcold model1210, on propane, the refrigerator started making a loud sound and the wood panel on side of refrigerator became very hot, thus becoming a fire hazard. I turned off the propane for i was fearful of the wood panel becoming inflamed.
While traveling at highway speed (65) encountered heavy rainfall, turned wipers to high, within 3 swipes driver side wiper flips off windshield on left, flies back to middle of windshield of driver side without clearing window. Wiper now appears to be "broken" in that it only clears total window while in stopped position, any movement forward by rv starts the flip off windshield. Investigation shows the entire wiper mechanism is rotating on its mounting. This problem apparently happened to the alante on the original trip to be delivered for sale in montana. We were told "it was fixed".
