Jaguar has less than 600 miles / yr, never parked outside, driven in any type of weather before failure.3-30-2015, after 170 mile ride, topped the fuel off before placing back into inside covered storage. Next morning i discovered significant fuel leakage on the floor under the rear of the jaguar accompanied by severe gasoline fumes throughout the storage garage that is also attached to our residence.upon carefully pushing the jaguar out of storage and taking overt measures to secure the dangerous situation, inspection revealed a serious fuel leakage condition associated with the fuel tank assembly.prior to this incident this car had been a flawless and very enjoyable automobile that we had every intent keeping indefinitely throughout our retirement.searching online, i discovered the nhsta recall campaign for which we had never received any notice whatsoever, in spite of our owning this jaguar since 2006 and never having changed our address or ownership title.delivered the jag to hoehn jaguar carlsbad, ca and they confirmed the recall and learned the required fuel tank assembly was not in stock.a week later i was notified the repair assembly was received and i brought the jag back to hoehn for what was promised a 'same day repair' - this is documented on the repair order no. 96331.within the day i was notified our jag had been disassembled prior to discovering the "repair kit" was only the main fuel cell and was missing 27 other required components - but- hoehn would order the missing components and it would be 'another couple of days'.in the interim, our beloved jag was pushed out of the work bay and left in the unprotected parking lot baking in the sun and rain storms that occurred.1. Jag still not repaired as of 02 jun 20152. No promise date for repair3. "missing parts not avail", per jag usasee my letter of 21 may 2015

A known defect in the manufacture of the 2004 through 2006 jaguar xj8s and needs to be recalled for repair in regard to this model's air suspension.in cold temperatures (30 degrees f or below), the air suspension system fails to keep the front end of the vehicle suspended.a red light on the instrument cluster lights up and the message center displays the warning, "vehicle too low".this particular incident occurred this morning, 11/12/2013, as i started my car (27 degrees f outside).unfortunately, this happened to me 6 months ago while traveling on the interstate across country when the outside temperature dipped to 29 degrees f.i was going the speed limit of 70 mph at the time that the suspension suddenly dropped.it could have caused a major car accident.as soon as the outside temperature rises above 30 degrees f, the air suspension compressor kicks in and lifts the vehicle up to its appropriate height.this known defect in the manufacture of the air suspension is highly dangerous and a recall needs to be enacted against the manufacturer, jaguar.i have discovered on the internet countless complaints of this problem.
