This is a safety hazard. Dealer acknowledges this is ongoing in jaguars until corrected in 2001.often there is noresponse to pressure on the gas pedal and then suddenly the car will jump forward. Problem with gas pedals sticking not disclosed at time of purchase. Dealership says maint. Needed every 5000-1000 miles. We had the problem addressed 10 months ago and only drove the carr approx. 2200 miles since.we were not told this needed regular maint. We were told that the part was cleaned and should be okay. Never would we have purchased a car knowing that there was a chronic safety problem with the gas pedal sticking.every service rep. We spoke to aknowledges that they have handled hundreds of these problems. Why wasn't there a recall or disclosure?
