Takata recalli have a 2013 jaguar xf 3.0 that began running a little rough around 30,000 miles in 2016.the check engine light came on and when i took it back to the retailer they said there was nothing wrong "possibly a loose gas cap." a few week later, towards the end of 2016 and less than 40,000 miles on the vehicle the check engine light came on again, but this time the car started to smoke and overheat, so i pulled off to the side of the highway, into a parking lot as quickly as i could.the coolant had been leaking and was dangerously low.i added coolant as per the jaguar handbook instruction and about an hour later tried to get back on the road.the car ran fine for a few miles, but once i started to accelerate into the 50-60 mph range onto the highway again a few miles down the road, the same thing happened.it started to overheat and smoke terribly.i pulled over to the shoulder as quickly as safely possible and notified jaguar roadside assistance in order to have the car towed back to the dealerships service department to be worked on.the dealership ended up replacing the engine.i insisted that i was not comfortable with this car anymore and wanted an extended bumper to bumper warranty.i was assured that they had practically "replaced everything under the hood and it would run like a brand new car." this was 8 months ago.the car has since been in the shop for 3 additional months on 10+ different occasions.the car is not safe to drive,it breaks down when starting or sometimes even when on the highway and is very dangerous.ive had quite a few close calls.this car is dangerous and the dealership either cannot fix it or wants to keep putting band aides on it until my warranty is out then its not their problem anymore.i have lost my job due to the unreliability of this lemon vehicle and the service department in fort myers jaguar.

I lately noticed your jaguar recall for models xf of 2013. It concerns fuel pump immediate shutoff when there is excess fuel pump amperage and a fuse trips to shut off the fuel pump.it cannot be reset until the fuse cools down, at least 20 minutes is reported. My car's vin number is apparently over the specified coveerge period so #15v091000 recall does not apply to my 2013 car.at the time in looking for answers i found none.my event:this past summer i was driving to sudbury, ma at 10 p.m.my engine suddenly stopped on the full speed and more narrow curving entrance to the mass pike {from route 91 in connecticut}!i was stuck there for well over an hour, every so often trying to restart the car; to no avail. It finally cost me $400 to have the vehicle towed to the sudbury jaguar dealer and left overnight for morning action.surprise, the garage mechanic the next morning turned the key and the car started immediately.it had always started before the costly incident and has started immediately ever since.but there i was on a curve at night with 60 mph+ trucks and cars passing me every few seconds!an extremely dangerous situation. It was about 25 minutes before a state patrol trooper showed up with helpful blinking yellow lights.as a mechanical engineer and hobby auto mechanic there seems little doubt your fuel pump recall issue should have applied to my 2013 jaguar xf.apparently my replacing the fuel pump was a completely useless expense as the car had only roughly 50,000 miles on it.lucky to be alive, [xxx]redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

I bought a new used car in la on sept 14 2014. When i drove back to sf on no5 highway on sept 15 2014 about 1 am .the back left wheel started caught fire when i was driving normally.

I was driving near fm 1960, my steering was very stiff and the car turned off while driving. I had it towed across town to my moms house which was closer than my home. The car has been towed to jaguar where they have stated this malfunction is not recall related. They were rude and non helpful. We believe this malfunction is ibdeed recall related.

My vehicle rolled back about 3 feet while it was idling in my driveway

On sept 27, 2013 around 7a.m.,i drove my car to the mail box where i pulled over on a road with a slight incline and up on the rounded curb, put it in park, opened the door, walk along the side of the car, crossed in front to retrieve my mail.after getting my mail, when i turned around to go back to the car, i saw it driving forward and crossing the road towards the other side!instinctively i jumped in the passenger side and was trying to reach the brake pedal when the car hit the curb, throwing me back a bit.the impact of the curb must have turned the wheels to the left and the car proceeded down an embankment and hit a tree which finally stopped the car. I contest that the car could not have originally been in drive when i got out of the car to retrieve my mail as i walked in front of it.i believe the gear popped out of park and voluntarily went into drive while i was retrieving my mail.

My jag xf 2013 dash is being torn away and separating. It is annoying to me that jaguar refuses to admit using subpar materials.

It is very alarming to see that over the course of a couple of years my vehicles dashboard is separating itself from the metal front air conditioning vent piece this is happening for no apparent reason on my jaguar xf

Jaguar statement:my 2013 jaguar xf was under warranty until september 2018. I took it in for service and water coolant leak; while driving out of my garage down my street the coolant warning light came on so i park it and had it towed to my local jaguar dealership to be looked at. It was serviced and the leak repaired;as i was told august8, 2018 40,000 miles. July 2019 same problem (at 46,000 miles) resurfaced and damage my engine. I was driving on the highway 820 and my warning coolant light came on the hood of the car stated to smoke; by time i was able to pull over safely the car shutdown. I thought it was just safe feature; turns out the coolant leak in to my engine and damage it beyond repair. The coolant replacement and parts was still under warranty. August 28, 2019. The dealership stated that jaguar corporate denied my claim. However, as i was told by the rep jose fernandez. In addition jose, stated that park place jaguar grapevine, tx dealership willlook into what that can do on their end since the problem previously existed under the factory warranty and the second incident covering the water coolant was still under warranty. August 29, 2019; the rep reported that my claim was also denied at the dealership level. I've pull up various forum in which jaguar corporate is and has been a ware of this issues with the water coolant failure and dripping into the engine chamber for several years from 2009 to the present. I'm contacting your organization because..i don't trust jaguar/the dealership to stand by its product. There's no way a $60,000- $70,000 car should breakdown at 46,000 miles. I was collect all documentation and send to your organization per request. I thank you.

I have a big issue with my dashboard starting to come apart because of the adhesive jaguar used to hold down the leather is not hold. How many complaints need to be documented before jaguar address the issue. I have researched and found that jaguar is using staples on the replacement dashboards to keep this from occurring but what about my car?

I bought a new used car in la on sept 14 2014. When i drove back to sf on no5 highway on sept 15 2014 about 1 am .the back left wheel started caught fire when i was driving normally.

Dear sir or ma'am,i am writing to inform you of what i view as a serious safety issue in hopes that you will consider investigating the matter. On march 13, 2015, i purchased a 2013 jaguar xf, (vin: [xxx]), that was certified pre-owned, but had never been owned by anyone except for the dealership.the vehicle had only 21,000 miles and was stated as having and appeared to have fairly new tires. The vehicle was purchased from capitol luxury cars stated as "tek automotive group, llc." on the car care plan, located at 347 new karner rd.,rte 155,colonie, new york 12205, (518) 452-1100.on august 6, 2015 on the way home from work on interstate 95 south, the vehicle tire pressure light had come on.i decided as soon i was off the major route i would stop to put air in the tire. The tire blew out completely, out of nowhere, nearly causing an accident. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where it had been purchased the next day. I was told that rim (passenger right rear) was cracked and they did not know the cause of the tire blow-out. The tire was under warranty the cost was still $1,168.36 for one tire rim issue.then on september 21, 2015, the passenger right front tire became balled due to an improper alignment i had to pay $1,310.27 for 4 winter tires.then on october 30, 2015 another tire was not holding air. I was told the driver side left rim was cracked and that again the rim would need to be replaced. I whole hearted refused to pay another $1,200 for one rim/repair. In a meeting with the general manager, administrative assistant, maintenance shop foreman, and the service advisor, the foreman stated that he thought the tire issue was caused by potholes in the area and that in general he has seen a lot of rims cracked. I asked him if he looked at my tire and rim. He stated,"no."information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
