When parking the power steering is reduced. When driving the power steering is reduced. This causes me to lose control of my vehicle. The whole wheel locks up.
Since i purchased this car in june 2017 the electrical system and brake continue to fail the car has been in dealer service since sept 15. Jaguar seems to think its no big deal. The car just completely installs with no warning putting my self and other people 's lives at risk. This is a huge safety flaw.i have videos but system will not let me attach.
The vehicle, which was less than 18 mos old, was at random times having difficulty starting (chugging and hesitating). I took it into the shop, and after one day they said they could not replicate the problem. Then, about a week later i was sitting at a red light in heavy traffic when the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly shut off. I depressed the brake and pressed the button to start the car, but nothing happened. Then, i pressed it again and it chugged a little. I pressed it again and it chugged and hesitated a bit before starting. The light had already turned green and i was holding up traffic. I was able to drive home and called the jaguar land rover dallas dealership to alert them to the problem and was told they couldn't get to it for at least two to five weeks because they had so many other cars in for service! i did some online research and saw others have had this same issue. It seems to be a problem with the energy saving auto stop/start feature that must be disabled every time one starts the vehicle to render it safe to drive. This is a major safety issue that needs to be investigated and addressed.

While driving check engine light illuminated. Stopped to get gas and after restart the check engine light was gone. Later that evening while driving normal speed limit there was a loud chatter from the engine and then white smoke billowed from the exhaust. Pulled over to the side of the road and tried to restart. One click but the vehicle did not restart.

While driving on the 75 hwy my timing chain broke (common for this engine, i am finding out) and the engine shut off causing me to brake and nearly getting rear ended. Then while trying to cross two lanes trying to get to the shoulder without any power, i nearly got hit several times. Beyond a major safety issue, timing chain failure resulting in needing new engine.
In motion on the interstate, suffered catastrophic engine failure due to turbo failure that starved the engine of oil. All maintenance up to date and completed on time at jlr. 91k miles on the engine. Had to fully replace the engine, turbo (x2), catalytic converter, water pump, and numerous sensors.the engine did not overheat nor were there any warning codes.

It started with a low coolant level sign on my dashbaord ! next thing i noticed was a leak.after, a little clicking noise took it to the dealer turns out its the coolant and has to be replaced with the hoses 3,500 worth.
The contact owns a 2017 jaguar f-pace. While driving 40 mph, the engine seized. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle. The contact observed smoke coming from the vehicle, pulled over, and had the vehicle towed to rusnak/pasadena jaguar (337 w colorado blvd, pasadena, ca 91105, (626) 714-3162). The dealer diagnosed that the engine needed to be repaired. The performance restriction warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,000.
My wife was at a stop sign and proceeded to make a left hand turn. Once completing the turn onto a 35mph road she heard what she described as a "pop" and the car immediately went into a "restricted performance" mode. She pulled over immediately and called me. I then called jaguar of portland and described what happened. He said to turn the car off and back on again. If the "restricted performance" icon is gone than go ahead and drive it home. My wife did exactly that and the icon was gone so she proceeded down the road again. She drove about 2,000 ft. When she said she noticed some white smoke coming from the exhaust so she pulled over and shut the car off again. I then contacted jaguar roadside and they picked the car up. I have been told that the turbo had gone out and that the engine was going to need replaced. All of this after only a week to a week and a half after jaguar performed a full maintenance/service on the vehicle and replaced a thermostat. Upon doing some research it's been found that a lot of people with the same vehicle, around the same mileage, are having engines replaced.
The vehicle has an engine "auto stop" feature enabled by default. When the vehicle comes to a complete stop, the engine shots off and when the foot is removed from the break, the engine starts. There is an approximate 1 to 1.5 second delay in the engine restarting. Unless the driver intentionally disables this feature every time they get into the car, it remains enabled. This is a safety concern. In city traffic when i was stopped at an intersection stopped in the intersection waiting to make a left turn. The engine had shut off. I had to rapidly accelerate to avoid a vehicle and the car hesitated while the engine restarted. This hesitation nearly caused a serious accident as i was barely able to avoid the other vehicle.if a driver forgets do disable this feature, they ate at risk of a serious or fatal accident.

The contact owns a 2017 jaguar f-pace. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced some jerking, pulling, and skidding with the rear tires. The contact had the tires replaced four times. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the lane driver assist was pulling on the rear tires while attempting to keep the vehicle in the lane while the contact was attempting to switch lanes. F pace incident while traveling east on i-80, just past the hirschdale exit,a sudden rocking of the car occurred on entering an upgrade curve while passing a truckat about 65 mph. It was thought to be a possible blown tire and we changed lanes trying to get to the right-hand (upgrade) truck lane. As we continued uphill in the truck lane, the rocking or shaking of the steering continued and we were afraid of losing control of the car. We then reduced speed to about 50 and put on the emergency flashers.we continued on for another mile or two and decided to stop just above the floriston exit in the truckee river canyon - possibly to call for help. But this location was very dangerous for any assistance, so we re-started the car and continued home traveling about 55 mph.at these lower speeds, there was no further rocking of the car or steering problem.there were no warning lights or other signals (at any time) in the control panel to indicate a system malfunction. We later experienced complete power steering failure, fortunately at startup.probable electro-mechanical system failure
Mybrand new jaguar pace electrical system failed. It took jaguar 4 weeks to fix. When i picked up car the steering was very unsafe, shaking and making a noises. Another week goes with out my car, a total of over 30 days and jaguar claims its was the door making noise. Jaguar is hiding things and the government needs to investigate!
The rear tailpipes protrude beyond the rear bumper cover which causes burns when loading/unloading cargo from the rear compartment.there is a tendency to lean against the rear cover when loading/unloading cargo thus coming into contact with the tailpipes. Vehicle was stationary, parked and recently tuned off.
Vehicle went in for noise in front end.less than 2000 miles later the front suspension disconnected from vehicle while driving. Unable to steer vehicle. Jaguar says dealer may have done something wrong. Dealer says car is defective. Luckily i was going at low speed when passenger side wheel assembly became disconnected from chassis.drivers side was completely lose and ready to become disengaged from chassis. Vehicle was in motion on city street turning.if this was at any sped, the vehicle would have lost control.

The windscreen washer nozzles apply washer fluid at very base of windshield, 90%+ of the fluid goes unused, only the fluid splashed from the wiper blades passing through the stream gets to the necessary part of the windscreen. The uploaded photo was with the vehicle parked, it is even worse at highway speeds. The photo was taken after stevinson imports adjusted the nozzles
