The contact owns a 2011 itasca reyo 25q rv. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to 45 mph and entered into limp mode. The check engine light was also illuminated on the instrument panel during the failure. The vehicle was safely maneuvered to the shoulder and shut off. The failure continued upon restart. The vehicle was then cautiously driven to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that an egr valve failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,800.
2011 winnebago itasca reyo mh lost power, check engine light on steep incline on interstate, dropped to under 30mph, almost rear ended by 18 wheeler. Tow 70 miles for repair of egr at 1800 miles. Loss of power, check engine light and messages on interstate at 2900 miles, limp mode. Drove in limp mode 200 miles for repair of pedal value sensor. Happened again at 3600 miles on interstate, drove slowly 160 miles for repair of turbo resonator and egr. Loss of power check engine light at 4500 miles. Blown turbo resonator, replace o rings. 4600 miles, flooded air filter, egr damage. Air intake hose located under hood in front of grill where it can suck in dirt and water. Cannot drive in the rain. Very dangerous situation as one can easily be rear ended. Discovered turbo resonator problem on going for several years on sprinter chassis. Plastic collar breaks. Should be metal. Also location causes egr failure due to damage from water and dirt and dust. Very surprised there has not been any recall.
