In rapid succession i noticed the failure of my turn signals, my cruise control, my power windows and my electronically controlled automatic transmission (shifting from 1st to 2nd is rough). In researching this on the vehicross. Info forums website, i read where other owners had the same problems and traced them to electrical wiring frayed when it passed through compartments within the vehicle.

I own a 2001 vehicross by isuzu. I bought it new six months ago and had only 14,000 miles on it. A few months ago the power window mechanism on the passenger's side had to be replaced due to a failure of the track alignment. At the moment i have 24,000 miles on the car and now the driver's side window is beginning to fail.

Right power window started to malfunction, window glass going down and up misaligned.emissions of strong fuel odor whenever the vehicle is parked and the engine turned off. This is a roughly 33k mile vehicle, and carefully maintained.the "isuzu rodeo sport safety recall concerning fuel systems" can be attributed to this same problem as they share the same/most mechanical features and factory equipments.
The left and right side windows failed to roll up and down on their own.the driver noticed that both windows fell off track, and the driver tried to pull up the windows but failed to do so.the consumer drove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and the mechanicdetermined that the window needed replacement.the seat belt did not retract and the chrome wheels were peeling and were replaced. *sc
The contact owns a 2001 isuzu vehicross. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked when the anti-lock brake system indicator light was illuminated. The abs light then began to illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to two authorized dealerships where the contact was informed that the abs module needed to be replaced at his expense. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. The current mileage was approximately 60,000.
Both the driver and passenger side windows keep falling out of their tracks when raising the window.i physically have to hold the passenger window in order to get it up.this is an imfamous problem with this type of vehicle.i have spoken to a lot of owners and they are having very similar problems.2001 isuzu vehicross,
Driver's side power window binding and subsequent failure.window 'siezed" halfway up it's track, not weather related.performed a hasty repair in parking lot with borrowed tools.a failure like this would easily result in window breakage.thank god that it didn't occur on the highway.upon first opportunity, dismantled door and repaired source -improper mechanism assembly and adjustment.re-aligned componenets and lubed window track with spray graphite.
For the third time my electric window has failed. Twice on the drivers side, and once on the passengers side. I personally know twenty or more other isuzu vehicross owners that have been having the same problem.
I had the drivers side window mechanism (the regulator) fail within the first year. I had it later replaced by the dealer, only to fail again a couple of months later. I have given up getting it fixed again because it is not under warranty any more. This is a recurring problem that every other vehicross owner i know of has.

I own two 2001 isuzu vehicross's. I bought them used 1 and 2 years ago, respectively.my first one was purchased with 11,000 miles on it, and the second one with 36,000 miles on it.upon purchase of my first one, the power window mechanism on both sides had to be replaced due to a failure of the track alignment.i'm seeing similar issues with my second vehicross as well.my first vehicross was fixed by a dealer, under warranty, on four separate occasions.after the warranty ran out, the issue again presented itself, and i had to pay over $600 to get the issue fixed.even then, the issue reappeared after only a few months.my second vehicross has the same exact issues with the window binding, and track misalignment, causing the motors to wear.upon coming in contact with an organization of several hundred vehicross enthusiasts i discovered that this type of window failure is epidemic with this model car. Some of the owners have had multiple failures -- i.e., the windows have been fixed only to fail again, sometimes three or four times.i have contacted isuzu but they deny there is a problem. On the other hand i understand there are official documents by isuzu that do recognize this problem.since there was a limited distribution of this particular model car -- somewhere in the area of 4000 plus over a four year period -- it appears the window failure rate is a high percentage of that total number. I would ask that the department investigate this problem, including investigation of the internal isuzu document mentioned above. If there is, as it appears, a design flaw in the window mechanism, then there are hundreds of vehicross owners who have improperly been charged to repair it, sometimes multiple times.
I own a 2001 isuzu vehicross and would like isuzu to own up to a design flaw.i have had this fixed 3 times while under warranty and the problem comes right back soon after they replace the "window regulator". At the moment both of my windows are unable to roll up without my assistance. This is a major problem in the cold of alaska as if i need to roll my passenger window down i need to lean into the passenger seat in order to roll it up and i find myself doing this at unwanted/unsafe times due to the cold. Also if a friend is in the car they tend to smash their fingers in the window when pulling it up.i am sick of isuzu saying there is nothing wrong with it.... It is obviously a design flaw as every vehicross i have ever seen has had the same problem!!!!!!!!! and as for the incident date this has happened five times (since date i said was the incident) so there is not just a single incident.
I own a 2001 vehicross by isuzu. I bought it new in 2001. About a year after getting the vehicle the driver's side power window mechanism had to be replaced due to a failure of the track alignment.the dealer fixed it, but i havesince had the same problem with the passenger side, and dealerwanted $800 to fix it.currently, the driver's side window was showing the same problem again.i have to help it by pulling on the window when i am raising it.only 4000 of these vehicleswere produced and a large portion of them have this window problem.
Windows failed to go up smoothly. They would bind, causing windows to appear off track and stop while the window motor continued to try to run.this happened on both sides of the vehicle.under warranty, the problem was fixed, and several months later, the problem has returned.now, the dealership is charging me for the second repair of both windows.
The left and right side windows failed to roll up and down on their on. Driver tried to roll the windows up and failed to do so. Then, driver took vehicle to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the power motor needed to be replaced.
The power windows on my 2001 isuzu vehicross do not operate correctly. The driver side window binds as it goes up and will not close completely without help, so i have to push it up the last 1/3 of the way. The passenger side window needs to be held in the track for the first third of it's travel in order for it to close properly. This is a recurring problem, but the dealership service dept. Has been unable to provide anything other than temporary fixes. I deal with this problem every day.
(1) approximately 1 year after the car was first delivered new, the power windows began to fail.the windows began to rise slowly with the window becomingcrooked in the track.(2) (a) first failure occurred 9/30/03.window ceased to function properly; off the track and rising crooked.(b) second failure occurred 10/14/03.window became inoperable only half way up the track.c) window continued inoperable until repaired on 10/27/03.(d) third failure occurred 9/10/04.window began rising improperly. (3) (a) inspected by dealer, no repair specified.(b) window removed and reinstalled along with shim regulator. (c) replaced both window runs. (d) window temporarily glued as a fix while parts are on special order.on 9/27/04 the window glass and runner replaced on the passenger side.note: no parts were kept, all work done by dealer under warranty.

Both power windows failed within a week of each other.window would jam and come out of the track when attempting to raise from a down possition.

Some of the owners have had multiple failures -- i.e., the windows have been fixed only to fail again, sometimes three or four times.at the moment i have 39000 miles on the car and now the passenger's side window is beginning to fail.isuzu dennies there is a problem. Power window motor failure due window track misalingment on both the driver and passenger sides.passenger side replaced in june of 2004 under warranty but is failing again.
I own a 2001 vehicross by isuzu. I bought it last week and it has 55000 miles on it. Immediately i discovered the power window mechanism on the driver's side seemed to be mis adjusted as the window would pop out of track as it was rolled up. Upon coming into contact with an organization of several hundred vehicross enthusiasts , www.vehicross.information,i discovered that this type of window failure is epidemic with this model car. Some of the owners have had multiple failures -- i.e., the windows have been fixed only to fail again, sometimes three or four times. At the moment i have 55, 500 miles on the car, and now the passenger's side window is beginning to fail. I have contacted my nearest isuzu dealership. But they refused to return my calls. I understand there are official documents by isuzu that do recognize this problem. Since there was a limited distribution of this particular model car -- somewhere in the area of 4000 plus over a 3 year period -- it appears the window failure rate is a high percentage of that total number. Drivers side window slows, tilts forward, and will not close all the way.
The side windows on the vehicledo not roll up or down properly and get out of track. Owner anticipates that this could be dangerous because the windows cannot be used as a secondary exit if the door were to bestuck in an accident.
Passengers side window does notproperly go all the way down or even all the way up. Contacted dealer. Dealers can not fix.*yd
