Driving to work and car start bucking. I was unable to work for two days.i took the car in for repairs and was told by dealer that even though i only have 52,000 mi they would not cover the cost of replacing the transfer case ($2,500)
I presently own a 1999 isuzu vehicross with 54k miles on it. I purchased the vehicle in jan.,2004. After six months the electric passenger window failed to operate(the window always ran off track since i purchased the car and i would have to pull it by hand to close it). The driver's window is also begining to show the same symptoms. Isuzu is well aware of the problems and complaint and the problem is well publisized. The vehicross is a limited production vehicle(less than 5,000)but the rate of failures reported is extremely high. I would appreciate some type of investigation into this failure. I have not spent any money for repairs yet but may be forced to spend as much as 3 to $400.00 per window because of, what i beleive, is a factory defect. At this time isuzu makes no public acknowledgement of the problem and is not covering any repairs under warranty.
I own a 1999 isuzu vehicross with 107,000 miles on it.it has never given trouble until now. I have always been meticulous about oil changes every 3,000 miles if not sooner.i had an complete oil change 2 weeks ago. Yesterday saw oil light flickering and added 2 qts oil immediately.drove a couple blocks and saw oil light flickering again. Pulled into garage and they said "bone dry"!added 3.5 qts oil right then.drove less than 1 mile onto expressway entry ramp- car stopped dead right there! - i could easily have been killed by semi bearing down behind me at 55 mph.luckily i escaped with my life but it could have happened anywhere: on the expressway for example and i would today be dead.cause: seized engine from lack of oil.two weeks after an oil change and only an hour after 5.5 qts oil had been added: bone dry again.i'm told this is a common problem for isuzu owners and that the company does not stand behind what they make.i told isuzu about this problem but they refuse to assist me.cost of new engine to me: $5,500!i have loan on this car for $6,600 already and cannot afford to put in a new engine.the consumer is again left strapped to deal with this fault manufacturing.this needs to be a safety recall.
The consumer complained that the engine burned up while driving 55 mphdue to excessive loss of oil.the dealer and the manufacturer were both notified.the check engine light had come on, the engine froze and the vehicle lost all power while being driven n the highway. *sc
The automatic transmission range mode switchfailed, causing the transmission to shift from drive into neutral as the vehicle is in operation.i feel that this is a possible safety issue, as failure of the transmission as higher speeds is not safe.isuzu motors of america is aware of this and has failed to adequately address the issue.
Windows fail to go up properly. Dealers deny problem or just replace regulators & problem recurs. Many owners experience this & some have had theirs in several times. Poorly designed lift mechanism. Isuzu is aware of problem but denies.
Driver side windows started to slow down when closing. Window closes improperly or does not close at all. The problem of the window is not fixed, and is avoided by not opening the driver's side window. Cost to fix from dealer is aproximately$600.
I own a 1999 isuzu vehicross that has a drivers window problem, i recently found that this is a problem with all vehicross yet the dealer claims there are no problems. The cost to fix the problem is 800 dollars which is not a guarantee.
Power window failure -windows jam and misalign on the way upboth windows safety hazard.
Windows going up and down got slower and slower. Windows would then tilt and not close.egulator was supposedly replaced and adjustments made.helps for a while and then starts over again, getting slower until you have to help the window up.have had to repair myself due to being out of warranty the second time.
My 1999 isuzu vehicross has faulty window regulators and tracks.the problem is getting worse.the power motors strain to position the windows in their "closed" location.i now have to take my hand off the steering wheel to assist the motors in getting the windows up.in my opinion the faulty power window hardware and design makes for a hazardous situation while driving.i know of several others who own this make and model and have had the same problems but on a more severe scale requiring multiple repairs costing 100's of dollars each time.
Driver and passenger windows do not stay in track when being rolled up. Windows fall forward and outward, not staying in the track. This is a continuous problem. Dealer only will replace the regulator which does not fix the problem. The problem is within the window track design.
Passenger side window does not close properly.at about 40k miles, the window began to have problems closing completely, getting off track and leaving a small 1/4 inch gap near the top.the window must be manually guided back on track while approximately halfway up in order to close completely.the vehicle was brought into a dealership twice while under warranty.the first time the track was lubricated, which helped but didn't completely solve the problem.the second time the dealership refused to make any further repairs.
I own a 1999 vehicross by isuzu. I bought it one year ago and have only 50,000 miles on it. A few months ago the power window mechanism on the driver's side failed and i had to repair it.upon coming in contact with an organization of several hundred vehicross enthusiasts i discovered that this type of window failure is epidemic with this model car. Some of the owners have had multiple failures -- i.e., the windows have been fixed only to fail again, sometimes three or four times. I understand there are official documents by isuzu that do recognize this problem.
1. Normal usage of electric window opening system on vehicle;2. Fails to go up properly, jams after going partially up every time without physical assistance;3. Pushes on window lightly while attempting to raise it up may or may not allow it to close properly. Lubricate tracks in window as a temporary fix. Without these measures, the motor or regulator would burn up, and the window would not go up or down. Without them the window will not roll up properly anytime.
Both windows on my 1999 isuzu vehicross fall out of their track when raising the window. The motor on the driver's windows has been replaced once that i know of, since i am the third owner. This is a coomon problem with this vehicle as reported through a web page just for this type of car. This vehicle had a total production run in its three years of sale here in the us of just over 4000 cars. The reported failure of this window is a very high occurance when compared to that number. It was a definite desigen failure, and there is some indication that isuzu reported it to their dealers but told them not to inform the owners.
Both passenger and driver side windows fall out of the track when being raised.this problem has been growing progressively worse.the driver side always requires me to guide it with my free hand until it is completely closed.this is required daily as i exit parking garages, drive throughs, etc.i have been pinched hard a few times.it is also dangerous to attempt this while the car is moving as both hands have to come off the wheel.otherwise, i have to stop in moving traffic to raise the window, and that seems even more dangerous.i fear that one day i might get my right hand or glove caught in the window while i am driving and will not be able to reach the switch to lower the glass because i must keep my left hand on the wheel.i must discourage my passengers from putting their window down because i fear that they will get injured if they attempt to guide the window back up without sufficient experience.if they put the window down, i have to pull over somewhere, exit the car, and assist them from the outside to raise the window.i have met several other vehicross owners and they are experiencing similar problems.the manufacturer is aware of the problem.if they agree to do any repairs, they limit repairs to replacing the parts worn by the failed design of the window lift mechanism.within a short time the problem returns. I believe this simple problem presents a considerable danger to both the driver, passengers (children!), and those that share the road.

The driver and passenger side window fell off of the track.and will go up and down intermittenly please furnish additional information.dealer is aware of the problem.mr
Window binds up/down.
Passenger's window will not roll down .driver's side window off track will not roll up properly without help (rolls up at a bad angle).
Both drive and passenger windows will not operate propperly, becoming jammed on the track when going up to close.this is a problem that has always been associated with my truck, since i bought it with 32000 miles and now have 77000 two years later. Isuzu will not acknowledge the problem or take responsibility.the window will fail with every use. And is a comon uccorence in many other vehicrosses.
The windows on both sides hung up when trying to close them.this seems to be a common problem with this model.i belong to a club & practically everyone is experiencing this problem.should the window become seriously lodged, it could break & cause injury to the driver and/or passenger.
My passenger side window and driverside window have never worked right. Several trips to the dealership and being charged several times they still don't work. At www.vehicross.info all the owners of this vehicle have had the same problem. Isuzu is aware of the problem but their dealerships do not seem to ever fix the problem nor do they honor it as a warranty issue.myself along with all the other vehicross owners would like to see action towards izusu to resolve their window issue.
1999 isuzu vehicross: widow binding problem.oem power windows bind on the factory weather stripping.this occurs often.there is so much friction that the window drags and becomes stuck.the door has to be opened dissassembled to corrected.it can be fixed by the dealer and will start to occur again after a months use.the problem is a design flaw.
Due to a design flaw the power windows tilt forward and slip out of the track when going up which causes them to bind which can cause the window motor to burn out and have to be replaced. I end up assisting the window up with my other hand so this doesn't happen to me.
