The contact owned a 1993 isuzu trooper. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. During the crash the vehicle experienced a rollover and the frontend was severely damaged but the airbags did not deploy. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The vehicle was destroyed and the driver sustained severe head injuries and a fractured spine. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was contacted. The local dealer was not notified. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 3,000.
Making a left turn oncoming carimpacted area near gas tank,and vehicle rolled over twice. Air bag did not deploy.
Hit a cow at 55 mph, no brakes applied, air bag did not deploy. Totaled car, did not roll, front impact only caused enough damage to declare auto totaled. Have photos. 93 isuzu trooper.
My 93 isuzu trooper suddenly loss turn signals and power while i was making a left turn. This confused the car on the other direction, and almost caused collision.

Refer to tsb# sb9601l005 /nhtsa#049410this past summer i changed the spark plugs again.when i pulled the old plugs, 4 had oil sitting on the top side of the plugs and the plug boots were covered with oil. 2 weeks ago, my trooper started bad everyday, and most of the time my "check trans" light was coming on, so i had to restart, and many times while driving from a stop, the "check trans" light would come on again, thus defaulting my transmission into 3rd gear, (pretty dangerous when you are trying to get through an intersection fast in order not to get into an accident, or pulling into traffic).last week i pulled the plug wires again (oil pooled again).i pulled all the plugs, wiped them clean as well as the wires and also cleaned the plug tubes as well.trooper ran great then.i called 2 isuzu dealers to ask about the tsb where it refers to oil in the spark plug wells, both dealers said a new wire kit had to be installed to seal the oil leak (for an oil leak?)i went and bought a new "updated" set for $64.00.from what i'm told, the new wire set has a wider diameter to seal inside the tubes better.saturday i installed the new wires, as well as new spark plugs again there was oil again accumulated within 1 day of light driving. Yesterday i pulled the wires from the tubes that had previously been pooling the oil. Not one drop was found- the new wires work! why didn't isuzu pay for the new wires and install them on a recall instead of a tsb where it is my responsibility to pay for their mistake? with all the oil pooled inside 4 spark plug wells and all over the wires, it gives the coil a path other than the spark plug (to the engine, which is chassis ground)- which happens to be where all electrical components are connected in the vehicle thus causing major problems when a short circuit occurs.my trooper is running great now, with no apparent electrical problems in sight, and no oil pool on the plugs. Starter failed 2 times.
The driver noticed liquid leaking from underneath the vehicle while it was parked.while driving, the vehicle stalled.the consumer was able to restart it and pulled over.oil was leaking from the vehicle.the consumer was able to driveto the dealer.the mechanic informed the driver that the cam shaft seal plug needed replacement.please fill in additional information.
I have had this lifter problem for a while and was just informed on 03/22/99 by a mechanic that worked for isuzu a one time. He said that the 93' troopers have had a problem with the lifters since they came out.
Cam shaft seal plug became dislodged from cylinder head.
Valve cover gasket failure.isuzu seems to have a common problem with failure of the valve cover gasket and the timing belt tensioner.
Received 94v132000 concerning engine camshaft failure in mail & contacted dealership for an appointment. Took vehicle to dealership for repairs one year later, butremedy failed .dealership was refusing to repair camshaftagain.

While drivingand entering nj turnpike on ramp, approximately 40mph, debris on road, trying to avoid, the vehicle rolled once and slid onto the passenger's side, skidded and came to stop. Gas tank cracked and vehicle was totalled. Deal/manufacturer not aware of the problem. Police report taken, dot is investigating the situation. *ml

1/2 of center seat belt is attached to right split bench instead of left split bench, rendering center seat belt unusable when right split seat bench folded.

Would be driving vehicle when all power door locks would unlock by themselves. If vehicle is parked,door key fails to lock driver's side. Would have to turn off alarm to manually lock door. Shutting door would automatically unlock them. Will be taking to dealer to have mechanic check out system.

Original tires on vehicle were dueler 684. Replaced with same tire about 2 years ago. Understood at that time the dueler 684 was no longer produced but local firestone store special ordered last 3 tires from another location's stock so i would only have to replace 3 tires and use my original unused spare. On 6/12/00 i noticed a bulge on back left tire with smalltire separation. I immediately replaced with spare. During the week before i took it to firestone for replacement the defective tire was on my spare rack and totally decompressed with half of the tire tread separated from the tire. I was lucky! local firestone dealer (store #008842) pro-rated tire for $49.99. Tire only had about 30,000 miles on it. Firestone replaced with dueler h/l p-met p245/70r16. Other trooper and same tire owners should also know about this tire!! i do not feel safe driving on the dueler 684's and hope these are also recalled!( dot number: y7mt tire size: p245/70r16 )
This is the second tbridestone tire in two months that i have lost tread from. I have been lucky twice and don't want a third incident. I was in 5:30pm traffic and felt that the car was not riding correctly i decided to exit the freeway and when i did i lost half of the tread. I still have the tire in my car. I drove immediatley to a local firestone dealer and the best they would do is pro-rate my another bridgestone dueler tire. I'm stuck because these tires are not in the recall and should be!! now i have to pay for a new set of tires. Poor performance of goodyear tires.
Tried to get tires rotated mechanic refused because they break off and i could be stuck in the middle of nowhere unable to change my tire without replacing all the studs which would be very costly of which i could not afford the cost of replacement and now have to worry if i do get a flat am i going to be stuck somewhere and not have to money to replace them.

The consumer took the vehicleto the dealerfor recall repairs, but the component that was affected was already destroyed.the dealer refused to repair the destroyed component, but will repair the recalle work. The dealer sold the consumer the wrong cable.
Studs on drivers side tire broke when trying to remove lugs: nuts.dealer studswere made of an alloy. Consumer was not able to change tires because studs wouldbreak. Please provide any further information.
