I never received any recall notification for alternator/ regulator/starter that i was suppose to have received sometimes in 1997. Should the dealership do it now and pay for the money i spent to fix the alternator/regulator/ starter?
Defective alternator--had already been replaced according to recall.
Possible design flaw caused the ic voltage regulator to fail due to a bad alternator. However, replacments were done. Problem reoccured.
Due to excessive electrical charging, the voltage regulator failed.

The problem with the studs is continuous, any time i have to have my tires rotated or balanced, or front end aligned the service person always informs me that the lugs have broken off with the stud and need to be replaced,which has been very costly andan inconvience. The problem with the horn is whenever the car is washed or it rains the horn start sounding and i have to remove the fuse to stop it . There has never been any front end damage to cause this problem, it just started happening while driving one day and another motorist informed me that my horn was sounding.
My vehicle has the same problem as described in your service bulletin number sb96-01-l005, bulletin sequence number 23.i first noticed the problem last summer (8/98) that there was a large amount of oil seeping into the spark plug tubes.is this something the manufacturer has to repair on the vehicle?

My car engine rise up as if my feet is on the gas allthe way. I can be driving and the engine speed up on it own and then it stop. I taken it to the shop and they can't find why.it does not do it all the time but you never know when it going to do it.i can crank it up and have it running in park and the engine will rare up and i just cut it off and let it sit for a while and some time it will do it and then there are a lot of time it will not. I have been bless not to have had a incident but it has done this in traffic and i have came close and it scare me to pieces.2. Electric lock system lock could not get out of my truck doors would not open had to break lock latch on driver door and break door panel on driver side for me to get out.

I took my isuzu rodeo to have the rocker arm noise fixed. After picking up the car having already done the left side of the motor and no the right.....the idle never has been the same..car has been in on 5 times now for a total of 13 days. They cant figure it out. Told me until the idle is up all the time they cant fix it...they just dont know what it is.

The engine when at idle starts to make a loud rapping noise from the engine compartment. The noise sounds like faulty lifters within an engine. The noise will continue from idle all the way to approximately 40 mph. After 20 minutes of operation the noise will go away.

He was not speeding and was not driving beyond the road condition.he applied the brakes as he was approaching a stop sign and the brakes subsequently locked up.the car started skidding and the vehicle slid into the northbound lane of hwy 603.he was struck on the drivers door by a northbound vehicle and was sent into a spin, partially airborne and thrown into the southbound lane. As a result, a southbound vehicle struck him.the resulting three-car accident resulted in the death of the southbound driver and premature delivery of her 8-month-old son and injuries to the northbound vehicles driver. A few minutes later the mechanic came in the waiting room and said he could not work on the vehicle due to the excessive frame rust and that the car is not safe to drive.he went on to say isuzu is known for rust and has not made efforts to recall their defective frames.i am now unable to perform the normal routine maintenance needed to prolong the life of my vehicle and investment.this is also a huge safety risk that isuzu should address.

Doors fail to unlock.
Neither rear passenger door (power locks) willopenfrom the inside or the outside. The dealer is aware of the problem, and stated that the handles needs to be replaced due torusting. The problem has not been corrected.
The rear passenger when raining water gets into the truck on the next day when trying to open the door from inside or outside door will not open .tt

1995 isuzu rodeo 4 wheel drive ls- rear frame almost rusted through, many m stress cracks in frame. Mechanic advised to park the rodeo and not drive anymore. Brought home and sand blasted and added lots of new steel to frame. Had to cut, remove and patch areas of frame around rear leaf springs and rear shock mount locations.

Purchased a 1995 isuzu rodeo it is time for the yearly inspection and would not pass due to the frame is broke on both sides, rusted and has holes through out frame.

1995 isuzu rodeo 4x4 frame has severely corroded and is structurally unsound for safe vehicle travel.
Myself and 4 others were northbound on i-35 near overland park, kansas, when the right rear tire of the vehicle suddenly failed.the tread separated from the core, and the steel belted cords separated.there were no adverse driving conditions at the time of the accident.we were not speeding, and the temperatures were not extreme.the tread depth was 11/32 at the time of the accident, which is like new.the tire failure resulted in significant property damage, extreme physical injuries and death.( dot number: vd66yfn tire size: 30x9.5r15 )

Pieces of the tire began to fly over the hood and windshield and the vehicle cut sharply to the right, cutting across two lanes.it came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.when the insurance appraiser inspected the vehicle and tire, it was his opinion that it was a catastrophic blowout. Vehicle parked. Later noticed flat tire. Road service arrived. Checked vehicle & no jack, key or any equipment found to remove lugs & tire. Dealership out of business. Manufacturer has yet to respond.
Myself and 4 others were northbound on i-35 near overland park, kansas, when the right rear tire of the vehicle suddenly failed.the tread separated from the core, and the steel belted cords separated.there were no adverse driving conditions at the time of the accident.we were not speeding, and the temperatures were not extreme.the tread depth was 11/32 at the time of the accident, which is like new.the tire failure resulted in significant property damage, extreme physical injuries and death.( dot number: vd66yfn tire size: 30x9.5r15 )
During tire rotation studs/lug nuts became stripped when removing lug nuts.one of the studs broke loose from its seating inside the hub during removal of lug nut preventing wheel removal or lug nut retightening.all 12 front studs and lug nuts had to be replaced as they were all stripped.all 12 rear lug nuts and studs will have to be replaced as they are also stripping during wheel removal.the stripping of these lug nuts/studs is causing metal fatigue on the studs and they pose a serious saftey hazard due to possible breakage while vehical is in motion.

The frame of the 1995 isuzu rodeo has three six inch bye six inch holes in frame two in the rear and one in the front, the entire frame is no thicker then a piece of paper because its rotted to nothing. You can push threw it in some spots with your finger.this was to be my daughters first vehicle but is nothing short of a death trap. I have contacted isuzu who told me they will do nothing to fix the problem they created from using cheap metal and cheap undercoating and they admit it.how is this legal in any way
At any speed and whenever the consumer would drive over a bump the vehilce will cut off, and the engine check light would come off and on.

Rubber boot on throttle linkage melted causing throttle to stick open causing my 16 year old son to crash.dt
I got in my vehicle to go to work and when i pressed on the accelerator pedal to go forward, it did not release.i had to shut down the vehicle to stop it.when i opened the hood to see what was wrong, i discovered that the rubber boot on the throttle cable had melted to the cable causing it to stick open.i have checked at all of the parts stores and no replacement part is available.there is no longer an isuzu dealership in the area.the vehicle is unsafe to drive and remains parked until i can get it repaired.

Consumer had two incidents where accelerator pedal got stuck while driving. One time he had to turn the engine off in order to avoid a collision. The cause of this was undetermined.
The contact owns a 1995 isuzu rodeo.while driving approximately 35 mph, the contact released the accelerator pedal, but the speed did not immediately reduce.the contact pulled off the road and turned off the engine.there were no warning indicators prior to the failure.the contact stated that the accelerator cable was sticking and removed the throttle rubber boot from the vehicle.he was displeased to know that there was a recall on this component for the same year, different model for the same failure.the vin and recall number were unknown.the failure mileage was 75,500 and current mileage was 76,300.
The engine made a loud noise.at 10k miles, the noise was noticeable.the technicians stated the problem was normal and there was no problem.the noise gradually worsened.a buzz noise was heard when making the left turn signal was used.the combo switch was replaced due to a short.also the heater blower motor made a noise as well.the engine smoked at times, died and when restarted it did not run properly.the sunroof drains were draining into the rocker panels and caused water to overflow onto the driver's floor.the trim panel on the rear door was deformed.scc

Consumer has manual windows and passenger's side window rolls down.consumer has leftwindows up and came back andthey were down.consumer hasn't takenvehicletodealer.
The rear hatch window blew out while driving.there were no signs of rocks being thrown or no foreign objects came into contact with the rear window.
Engine valves are clicking constantly. Consumer states clicking is caused by faulty hydraulic lifters, the lifter orifice is too small in the 1995 model.vehicle does not have oil pressure or has very little while idling, timing chain was replaced, dealer informed consumer to use 0-30 weight oil to correct noise in the valves, however the oil change did not help, engine sounds like a thrashing machine.tailgate actuator spring was replaced.window cable mechanism in right front door panel was replaced.lock on the left rear door would lock, however would have to be unlocked manually.
Driving on highway about 60mph when rear hatch window imploded. There was nothing showing what caused the imploding. Will be taken to dealer.

Wheel studs and nuts can be stripped during normal wheel inspection and tire replacement.
All 12 wheel lugs/nuts on front wheels failed according to dealer.information received from tire shops indicates that this is common with isuzu vehicles.isuzu refuses to honor warranty stating without any knowledge that the cause is "use of air wrenches to tighten lugs".the lug nuts/bolts are obviously defective in design, manure, or assembly since other cars do not have this problem

Consumer stated while having new tires put on the vehicle, he was informed that there has been a know problem with the lug nuts and that that they should always be removed and put back on by hand, while the mechanic was working on the vehicle, three of the lug nuts snapped off due to the repeated drilling of the lugs over the years, all of the lugsand studs were replaced and due to the damage the front inner seal and front hub assembly had to be replaced, consumer is requesting reimbursement for the defective lug nuts.

Bolt/stud holding wheel to axel loosened.
The problem with the studs is continuous, any time i have to have my tires rotated or balanced, or front end aligned the service person always informs me that the lugs have broken off with the stud and need to be replaced,which has been very costly andan inconvience. The problem with the horn is whenever the car is washed or it rains the horn start sounding and i have to remove the fuse to stop it . There has never been any front end damage to cause this problem, it just started happening while driving one day and another motorist informed me that my horn was sounding.

Related to stock steel wheels, original studs and luig nuts.these studs/lug nuts seize regularly requiring them to be broken to remove wheels.in the event of a flat tire, the wheel can no be remove manually.this is a chronic problem verified by 4 different tire stores.isuzu's stance is that they are unaware of any problem.i have magazine articles related to this specific problem.

Every time wheels need to be removed for service, a number og lugs:nuts:studs break.
Front wheels studs are wearing out for unknown reason; consumer had to replacestuds: lugs on both sides of front wheels. Dealer notified and informed consumer that the studs are worn due to the air gun used to put the lugs on.
Lugs strip and/or break every time a tire has to come over for whatever reason. Labor is very expensive especially if it needs to be fixed on a regular basis when you service your rodeo.
Wheel stubs were defective fromdealership. Consumerwas trying to change wheels for rotation oftires, and wheels wouldn't come off.dealership was aware ofproblem.
Upon inspection, my mechanic told me the studs:lugs: nuts on the 2 front tires would need to be replaced because the metal that was used to manufacture them was to soft thus causing failure. Failure caused the studs to become cross threaded and one stud broke and was missing from the wheel.
