The consumer stopped to put gas into the vehicle, after gas was placed, the consumer was driving and the vehicle caught on fire under the hood.
While vehicle was at a complete stop fire came from under the vehicle.contacted dealer, dealer had vehicle serviced, vehicle caught on fire again.
Transmission light came on periodically, took it in for service, drove it to work, noticed smoke coming from hood, suddenly vehicle caught on fire.

This and other problems that have occured with this vehicle i believe would be covered under the recall for vehicles either in 1992 or 1993 recall by isuzu or nhsta. No safety defect listed in summary.
I experienced an oil leak from the top of the engine @ approximately the 90,000 mile mark.i recently had this fixed by ray fladeboe isuzu (irvine, ca.).the receipt describes the problem as: replacing the v.c. Gasket, oil leaks from engine, replaced valve cover gasket.after having this done, i researched the internet for any isuzu engine recalls.i came across "nhtsa campaign i.d. # 94v132000.this discusses a recall due to an engine oil leak (however it seems that it may only apply to the trooper).i crossed referenced this recall notice with another one.this other one was found on the "consumer reports online" page.it states basically the same thing only it broadens the makes and models involved.it adds the honda passport ('94), and the isuzu rodeo ('93-94) to the list.although my vehicle is a 1992 isuzu rodeo, i did experience a significant engine oil leak at a relatively low milage (est. 90,000 miles).would you please advise me as to whether or not my vehicle would qualify for a recall on this issue?thank you very much..

While parked on slide incline experienced parking brake failure, when after applied emergency brake it disengaged then vehicle rolled down a hill,hitting a fence post, had experienced intermittent failure prior.

Auto-tran: while driving, engine check light came on, pulled onto exit, told by another motorist vehicle on fire due to transmission leak,speed 55 mph.
Studs have been stripped several times and been replaced.this happens when tires are changed or rotated.this is a costly and a reoccuring problem. The transmission light has been a continuous problem.it has been serviced before and now it is reoccurring and repair costs $390.
Hello my name is [xxx] i live in washington state and i own a 1992 isuzu rodeo 4x4 with an automatic transmission. This isuzu rodeo has gone through 4 transmissions in the past 1 year and now the transmission control module is going bad.i have put over $3000.00 into this vehicle and it still is having problems.i have talked to about 10 people that are going through the same problems here in the olympia area.the cottman transmissioncompany gave me a warranty on the transmission but they keep telling me it is something else besides the transmission.they tell me now that it is the transmission control module and they refuse to give me a warranty on this item since it is an electrical unit..what can i do about this constant problem?the vehicle is only worth about $3000.00 and now i have over that just into the transmission..cottman will put the second tcm in for another 1000.00 and he said if the transmission is bad again also the warranty is void because of an electrical problem.which means i will have to rebuild the trans. The consumer was driving when the transmission light illuminated, the vehicle was towed to a shop and checked out for several hours but technicians were unable to find a problem and told the consumer the vehicle was safe to drive, while driving the vehicle began to smoke and witnesses said the saw flames coming from the bottom of the truck, the consumer pulled over and within seconds the vehicle was totally engulfed(ohio traffic crash report).nlm

When driving and upon attempting to make a stop, when there is a bump inroad way, and oncebrake pedal is appliedbrake pedal goes to floorboard, causing extended stopping distance. The problem also occurs when the pavement is uneven.
Owner states that his brakes are faulty and that the front end shakes while brakes are being used,owner also notes that dealer said it maybe a design flaw.
Rear brake abs system is inoperativeand the warning light for the rear wheels is on.

Brake problems; on any road conditions when driving 55 mph or more and applying brakes they vibrate tremendously. Every 6 months either the rotors have to be resurfaced or changed. Still experiencing a problem.

While driving on a clear windy day at 45 mph, looked down, when driver looked up again onto the road, vehicle veered off the road into opposit elane, rolled over and went into a ditch, four out of the five people in the vehicle sustained injuries.

Consumer was in an accident. She was driving 40to50 mph and lost control ofvehiclethe rear in send her into a 180 degree turnaround, and she went into an enbankment.
Power steering pump leaked, also power steering seal failed.
Front bumper collapsed from impact.inspection by autobody repair revealed that bumper was previously replaced with a reconditioned unit that apparently had been straightened and replated.previous owner was contacted and confirmed that an earlier accident had required bumper replacement and that his insurance carrier would only repair damage with a reconditioned part.as bumpers are a safety item, is there any requirement that an insurance carrier must repair with original parts?i don't know if this is in your area, if not i would appreciate any information as to who i might contact.thank you.

There is considerable frame rot/rust on the rear of the vehicle from where the fuel tank is housed.
While driving on highway vibration occurred, a loud noise sounded and the rear left wheel came off and driver lost control, the vehicle hit medium and flipped over three times. Dealer was not contacted and is not aware of the problem. Insurance company investigating the problem.

My pick-up was towed to a texaco gas station for tire replacement that cost me $100.00. I took my firestone tire to a firestone station, indian river road, va beach, they are willing to give me a new replacement tire and give me a pro-rate on my (tread separated) tire.i was assisted by smart traffic center (phone 757424-9903) operator is mr rick clark 73, ticket n0. 33478, cost me $20.00.i bought my replacement tire from montgomery ward jul 1996, i put in 56,712miles on that tire. I am only making this report for your information and because it is firestone tire.i still have the tire, so if you are interested to have it for inspection, let me know.thank you. Throttle stuck in open position.as i was driving and shifting gears, the throttle stayed down causing the rpm to redline while i was on the highway.it continued in other gears as well.apparently, i need to have a rubber boot replaced at the end of the cable that is know to have melted off and clog up the cable housing.

The lug nuts are frozen to the studs on the wheels, preventing the removal of the wheels.
