We have a fleet of 135 school buses. Our 2005 - 2014 international ce school buses have a defect in the wiring for the ecm power supply. The circuit overheats, melts the connectors and the bus shuts down and will not start. Twice this week we ve had buses shut down in intersections. We have seen this problem on almost all of the 74 international buses we have. Almost all the plastic wire connectors have been replaced with butt connectors, but it seems that the electrical short finds the weak pint of the system. It will blow the fuse , or melt the relay connector. This problem can occur at any time of operation. I believe the ecm wiring is not sufficient to handle the load.my concern is that we are carrying kids. If the engine shuts down in a intersection may cause a major accident. We have already have road calls to rescue buses on field trips and sports trips.

The contact owns a 2007 international ce school bus, manufactured by navistar, inc. While driving 15 mph, the brakes suddenly locked.there was no warning prior to the failure.the dealer stated that the rotors were corroded.the current and failure mileages were 43,000.

Vehicle component code: 132000 visibility: glass, side/rearowner operator of school bus states that four (upper-lower-right-left) dual pane door windows have fogged due towater entry between the panes. Owner has removed the panes in an attempt to correct and found that (at least one of)the panes had completely separated from the pane "sandwich." owner was unable to remove coating from the glass withsolvents, etc. This owner is part of a group of eight purchasers who purchased a portion of "on-site" inventory ofbusses which were all equipped with the same glass feature (i.e. Purchasers did not specify this option). Owner of arelated vehicle previously filed voq 10416533.
