The contact owns a 2004 international 4400 dt466. The contact stated that vehicle burst into flames from under the dashboard while parked in the garage and shut off. As a result, the building also burned down. The fire department was contacted and no injuries were reported. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was not available and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 120,000.
Dt*:the contact stated after shutting the vehicle down, the bottom liner o-ring propelled through the number 4 cylinder. The radiator fluid drained into the oil which resulted in the engine seizure.the vehicle was towed to the dealer and the engine was over hauled.the manufacturer was alerted.updated05/16/06.
Massive fuel leak under truck cab.this was caused by fuel return line coming off back of engine.plastic clip that is not securely fastened is factory design.very unsafe in my opinion.
