The contact owns a 2016 durastar international 4300 (na). The contact stated that when the body was attached to the truck frame of the vehicle, the manufacturer, fleet equipment corporation, violated safety code fmvss 393.201. The incorrect assembly caused the frame rail of the vehicle to be compromised and considered as a safety risk. The contact informed the manufacturer who stated that the law left room for interpretation. The manufacturer refused to correct the attachment in order to meet law guidelines. The vehicle was not repaired and was legally unable to be used. The failure mileage was 3,900.
