The contact owns a 2017 infiniti qx60. While operating the vehicle during the daytime, the backup camera display was very dim and blurry. While driving at night, the camera display was too dark to view images on the screen. The vehicle was taken to faulkner infiniti (1510 easton rd, willow grove, pa) where it was determined that the back up camera was operating normally and no failure was found. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 1,500.

Car was running well and did not have any issues then went to start and car would not start, headlights started flickering, warning lights came on and car wouldn't start. Was able to get it to start and drive home but power steering went out, could not accelerate on a hwy, lights continued to flicker. Was not switching gears. Once we got home turned the car off and have not been able to start it since. We had it towed to nissan dealership and they can't figure out what is wrong and it's been there for over three weeks. Nissan is saying we need a new $14,0000 engine. This is a three year old car with no problems, no indication of any issues and one day it just stops driving.have researched this year, make and model and have heard this is a common problem. Infiniti has not done anything about it and says it's not their fault. Don't know where to go from here. This car needs to be recalled due to the numerous complaints about the same issue,

I leased a loaded qx60 from sawgrass infiniti.one of the features of the car was a 120v plug in the second row with a max 150w rating.this was a key feature for us as our son has a condition that requires a breathing machine to be plugged in so he can receive medication each day while in the car.as it turns out, the voltage on the outlet may be 120v, but the rating is definitely not correct.after a minute of working, the outlet shuts off.and then a few minutes later, it might come back on for a minute or so.i tested the machine and it gets no where near the max wattage rating on a volt meter.i contacted infiniti multiple times and they said that the vehicle is working as designed (in other words, go away, we don't want to think about fixing all our vehicles with a defect).after owning the car (lease) for 3+ months, nothing has been done and i have to bring my own inverter into the car and plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet so that the machine can work properly without shutting off in the middle of a treatment.fact is, the 120v plug outlet in the vehicle does not work as was promised to me by the dealer, nor does it meet the specifications advertised by the manufacturer right on the outlet cover.i've been after them ever since i purchased the car to come up with a solution and they have been avoiding the issue and non-responsive as of late.the car obviously has an engineering flaw in its electrical and /or fusing which will not allow this outlet to provide power as described.

My car has had issues from the day i got it which have gotten progressively worse and now i don't feel safe and i'm reluctant to drive it let alone make the payment for it after taking it to the dealer three times explaining the issue and lights that come in.i have had bad smell coming from it and after the third time today being at deale and getting a loaner car that is not even semi comparable to my car as i have an infinity qx 60 and they have given me a tiny tiny q30 or qx and refused to give me a car my size which is another story .my car after getting it tonight from dealer and then telling me recall was fixed stalled on the freeway and came to a drop as the car behind me was inches away from slamming into me.after starting and restarting the engine it drive again and prior to getting home as i live on a hill it stalled and wouldn't start.this happens repeatedly and the dealer is telling me no codes come up when j bring jt in.it barely drives and has no speed and clearly it's a dangerous situation and j have a four and six year old in this car and infinity can't fix these problematic cars then i suggest putting your customers in a different car.i won't drive with a string odor, electrical issues and stalling one more day and figure it out cus i'm losing work and clients and this is now digging into my pocket book and it's putting myself and toddlers in a compromising safety situation.i was informed recall was fixed when i got it today and rhis website wouid have been updated if that was true i'm furious and my mechanic has informed me of what these issues are and he has given me codes thet infinity refuses to address since the lights are not on the one time they turned far in.what kind of mechanics can't figure a safety issue in the engine ?i need resolution and reimbursement for my payment as i am entitled to drive in a safe car

My car infiniti qx60 2017 the horn started to honk with no reason it wouldn't stop honking 1st time, 2nd time it happened it was coming smog from the horns and now the horn won't work changed the horn fuse and it will burn itevery time so it has a shortcut somewhere so now we have a car with no horn until is fixed!

My car hydroplaned and everything shut off. The brakes and steering wheel locked and the engine shut off. There was nothing i could do to prevent the accident. I was driving under the speed limit and was not engaged in any reckless maneuvering. I felt the car slide in an unnatural direction and when i attempted to counter correct i found the steering wheel had locked. I next tried the brakes which were also unresponsive. The vehicle slide into the center divider on the freeway and i slowly rolled to a stop. Upon coming to a stop there was a strange odor in the cabin of the car, some sort of fume. I tried the gas peddle but the engine was unresponsive as well. I was pushed off the highway by highway patrol. When the tow company showed up, the driver of the tow truck was able to start my car by bypassing the systems ignition and jump-starting it, he then drove it up onto the tow truck bed without a problem. This tells me that the brakes, power steering and engine failure was not cause by the damage of the impact but rather that the car shut itself off in mid transit. I've contacted infinite and they are refusing to run a diagnostic on the electronics to find out the cause of the failure, so i am taking matters into my own hands. I'm grateful for the center wall divider or else the car would have slid into oncoming traffic! searching for insight and/or similar experiences form infinite car owners.

On 2/18/2020 i was driving my vehicle in a snowy weather and my brakes failed to stop my vehicle and ended up sliding down the carb and hit a parked vehicle. I have a recall for abs. My transfer case under the hood was leaking and making a weird loud noice. Went to the dealership right before the accident happened but they asked me to come back on monday.

Car failed to accelerate on a major highway (thruway)!!virtually no warning at all - only ped indicator light flashed on/off. Very lucky to be alive ( myself and 2 kids) . Was able to pull to side of road , into rest /truck stop.area- battery light (red) illuminated . Called service dept at local dealership - described issue .. Now car is turned off - started car again ' engine turns over - shift to d to drive - car doesn't move. Infinity , service (lack of ) dept , roadside assistance , consumer affairs .... Useless . Left stranded for over 8 hrs . Police finally came to my assistance .. This is a transmission problem , defect - nissan & infinity are aware of cvtissue - this is criminal . I was put in a potentially fatal situation with 2 kids . Many complaints on file . The 2017 qx60 needs to be recalled . Do not trust this vehicle ..quite sure lawsuits have already been filed . Shame on infinity for selling these cars . Hopefully , a recall will take place before people are killed . Inconceivable!!!!! i was lucky. Case file number available if necessary.

The contact owns a 2017 infiniti qx60. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle was getting excessive smog from the exhaust. The vehicle was taken to local dealer austin infiniti (8140 burnet rd, austin, tx 78757 (512) 220-0920) where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

The engine shut down while driving. There where no warning lights. We where told that the car had a faulty abs sensor and that caused the car to go into "failsafe" mode. This is the second time this had happened in 10 months.

Two times in the last three months our car's engine has stopped while the car was in motion.

I have a 2017 infiniti qx60 with every possible safety add-on.i have a safety concern about my new vehicle.the led headlights do not project very far in front of the vehicle, at all.unlike standard headlights that have a spray of light that diminishes the farther away they go this vehicle has a definite line that it is completely black in front of the light of the headlights.unlike my old mercedes, they do not adjust for the terrain of the road.if you are going downhill they only project, maybe 50 feet in front of the vehicle.there is no way to adjust these headlights, at all.even my 10 year old toyota van allows you to adjust the headlights. Unfortunately it has auto high beams so if it detects any light they will not stay on without continually pulling back on the turn signal. So using the high beams, when possible, is not an option.i have asked the dealer several times to adjust the headlights but they say they are within specs.i'm sure that may be the case when the vehicle is level, not going downhill.the dealer told me that they have had several people complain about the headlights.(and this is one dealer.) the left headlight is also significantly closer than the right one creating a major problem.i have had several passengers comment, 'what's wrong with your headlights?'i feel that this is a very dangerous situation!i have driven in dark residential neighborhoods several times and have been startled by pedestrians or animals on the side of the road that you cannot see until you are right on top of them.we have literally had to creep in a hilly neighborhood in pittsburgh for fear of hitting a parked car or even worse a person.i would appreciate the ntsb looking into this hazardous situation as i have had no satisfaction from the dealer.

Unexplained acceleration caused vehicle to exceed posted speed limit and driver's desired speed. On a city street at approx 7pm i was increasing speed after sitting at a stop light, i slowly started to accelerate, i felt a jolt & vehicle suddenly picked up speed. Not knowing why this was happening i repeatedly pushed the cancel button on the steering wheel & pushed the brake pedal. Vehicle continued to pick-up speed when i stopped pushing brake pedal. I came to a complete stop & vehicle went to picking up quick speed without me pushing accelerator pedal. I pulled into vacant parking lot, put vehicle in park, removed my foot from brake pedal & vehicle accelerated high (rpms) by itself for a few seconds & stopped (went to normal idling).i turned vehicle off, restarted & the vehicle drove normally afterwards. I have reviewed owners manual & can't figure out what i may have done to cause the unexpected vehicle acceleration that pushing the cancel button on the steering wheel and/or pushing the brake pedal wouldn't turn off. I was not attempting to use speed control functions of the vehicle. Standard driving.i believe it was a vehicle malfunction and not driver action that created this unsafe situation. Thankfully surrounding traffic was light on what is typically a busy street.

I was driving on i-95 north in marryland when e.s.c(electronic stability control)light came on.i stopped at marryland house travel plaza and restarted the engine ,shifted to drive but car didnot and "check engine"light also came.eventually i bought mass air sensor from dealer and installed it

Since i leased the vehicle i have had to return it to the dealership a total of 5 times starting at just over 5,000 miles. My vehicle has been out of service for repairs for a total of 9 calendar days. The current mileage on my vehicle is 22,160. My vehicle has been in circle infiniti located in west long branch, nj on the following dates for repair for the following defect:01/30/2018 - 01/31/2018 vehicle low on power when merging intotraffic seems as though it is going to stall 04/11/2018 - 04/13/2018 when trying to merge into traffic vehicle is lagging. When hitting the gas pedal nothing happens. Nearly had several collisions because of this. Vehicle will rev high but notaccelerate. Happening more often. 09/13/2018 - 09/13/2018 still feeling hesitation on acceleration 11/26/2018 - 11/27/2018 there is still a hesitation on acceleration. Advised of problem many times 04/03/2019 - 04/03/2019 customer concern; same issuemy vehicle is still having this same issue of not accelerating properly when hitting the gas pedal. On june 11, 2019, this serious safety issue almost caused my vehicle to be hit in the rear by a truck because my vehicle would not accelerate when merging into traffic. I had to quickly ride into the shoulder to avoid being struck from behind. Subsequently, i had to return the vehicle again yesterday to circle infiniti due to this serious safety concern. Since this problem substantially impairs the use, value and/or safety of myvehicle, or the defect is one that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven.

When accelerating the car and turning left or right the car will shake and jerk. Looks like a cbc transmission

The contact owned a 2017 infiniti qx60. While the contact's husband was operating the vehicle, he was forced to hard brake. The seat belt pretensioner did not tighten and the contact almost sustained a head injury. Sanford infiniti (995 rinehard rd, fl) was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle operated as intended. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000. The vin was not provided.vin invalid updated 8/9/18

Seatbelt strap is fraying / tearing on 3 seatbelts and one of them has completely torn. The driver side seat belt clamp won't disengage preventing it from being sized. Infiniti has denied my warranty claim and stated that i somehow damaged it. I think it is a quality issue and should be honored as a warranty item.

We were hit in a rear-end collision, and the person hitting us was traveling at 60-65 mph. We were at a stop, in a line of traffic on the freeway upon impact.both of the front seats we were sitting in, collapsed backwards upon impact.from what we've researched, if we had a back seat passenger, it would have crushed them, or we could have slipped out of our seat belts. Our research also indicates that an inexpensive fix might avoid the issue for future people who experience a rear end collision. The infiniti performed well with airbags, and crumple zones... Saved our lives, however, this seat problem could ultimately prove to be a future problem.

The contact owns a 2017 infiniti qx60. The contact stated while driving at approximately 30 mph, the abs warning light illuminated and remained illuminated for approximately an hour and twenty minutes. The contact pulled the vehicle over and attempted to contact roadside assistance which was unsuccessful. The vehicle was taken to (nationwide infiniti of timonium 22 w timonium rd, lutherville-timonium, md 21093) where the contact received a loaner. The vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v807000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Abs light goes on once or twice a week and stays on until car is turned off. My car isn't listed under recall with my vin number. It is within the make, model, and year same ad the other cars that are recalled for abs light.

Issues occurred for last week or two. After few minutes of driving when car engine is hot, my car steering wheel becomes so stiff that sometimes it is impossible to turn right or left. Also when you push break it's make noises, it's sound like crushing empty soda can.

The following recall was issued: 'a brake fluid leak on the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire. Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 nissan murano, 2016-2017 nissan maxima, 2017-2018 nissan pathfinder, and 2017 infiniti qx60 vehicles' i took my car in to the dealer for the recall, the work was completed however 1 month later the car lost all its brake fluid, we had to have the car towed to the dealership. Upon inspection it was discovered that the recall was corrected with a defective part. The recall problem which was supposedly fixed was corrected with a defective part which caused an extremely dangerous driving situation. Our teenage daughter was driving at the time when all the warning lights went one. Obviously this recall was not corrected and if infiniti believes it was, they are wrong. How can a defective part be used for a recall?

While driving on a clear stretch of interstate (not near an underpass or trucks or other cars) the sunroof exploded.it made a sound like a gun, glass came into the car because i did not have the shade closed.there was no indication anything hit the sunroof.a police report was filed and infiniti covered the repair under the warranty.upon investigation this issue appears to be systemic in newer vehicles.it was very frightening to my 11 year old daughter and myself.we were not injured and the local infiniti dealer stated that have never heard of this.it was a sunny clear day.

Driving down the highway when my sunroof glass exploded. Temperature in the 50's and unlikely that anything hit it to cause this.people online reporting the same thing.sounds like a gunshot and could lead to an accident.

The engine shut down while driving. There where no warning lights. We where told that the car had a faulty abs sensor and that caused the car to go into "failsafe" mode. This is the second time this had happened in 10 months.

2 times now in the last few weeks while using adaptive cruise control the car decided to take off. I watched the cruise speed go from 70 to 80 without any input and the car rocketed to 100 miles and hour. Braking would slow it down but as soon as i took my foot off the brake it would speed up. I tried turning the cruise control off and that didn't stop it. I cycled it on and off about 5 times but it kept speeding up. My wife told me to turn the cruise back on and leave it and that is when it finally stopped. She told this same incident happened to her two weeks ago and that was he only thing to stop it. I have never seen the cruise accelerate that quickly prior. It was very scary and easily could have killed us or anyone we may have run into. We were fortunate it happened on a business loop of an expressway. The incident seems to started when we left the regular highway and i was toggling the cruise to a lower speed which it was doing. I was going from 78 to 60 then by itself went to 80 and beyond. Previously i had witnessed the adaptive cruise not stop like it should and have to apply braking, which i reported to the dealership and was looked at without any answer. This incident felt like my car was being hacked and someone else was having fun with it. *dtupdated 10/1/18

I accelerated the gas pedal all the way down while merging to the carpool lane on highway;i took the foot pressure off after merging the lane but car was kept on accelerating. I had to apply the brake several time during 15-20 seconds of this experience to bring the high acceleration down to normal. I took it to ontario california infiniti dealership on aug 8, 2020 and left the vehicle there for thorough checkup. I received a call on aug 10, 2020 from dealership service representative that they could not reproduce the issue.

When starting up after a complete stop, the vehicle will surge. It also happens when you put the car into reverse. The dealership stated they had experienced the same problem and had to replace the transmission. Drove our vehicle in the parking lot but could not recreate the problem so would not do anything further. I feel this is a safety risk. This has happened on numerous occasions.

2017 infiniti qx60, odo-1400 miles. I just started to drive to my work quiet street 20 mph and my sunroof popped no physical damage just popped. Contacted dealer they told me what glass never broke by them self. Geico willing to cover but i think its total fault of car maker. Its not about cost its only time and safety brand new car.
