The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While driving at various speeds, the passenger side air bag disable light illuminated. The failure was consistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

Takata recallthis week we took our 2015 infiniti to the dealership in spokane, wa in order to repair the passenger airbag that was incorrectly turning off when an adult sat in that seat. We assumed the problem was resolved, however within a day or so the indicator light again turned on stating that the passenger airbag was off. This happened with an adult riding in the seat. We are terribly concerned that our car is not safe. We have a large family and this is our only available transportation.in order for our family to fit in this car we must have someone ride in the front passenger seat. We have phoned the dealer, but they have not yet returned our call. We live in montana...hours from the nearest infiniti dealer. We have already incurred the cost of driving all the way to washington for the recall repair and staying at a nearby hotel. We are worried about driving again with a malfunctioning airbag over two mountain passes in the wintertime in order to have the dealer try the same fix a second time. Clearly something is wrong with this recall fix. My family desperately needs your help. We strongly encourage you to look into this matter on our behalf.any help in addressing this potentially life threatening safety issue would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Airbag recall???my passenger and rear air bag deployed without impact or a passenger? i need your help! infiniti still has my car and is trying to push it under the rug. It could have been very dangerous if my kids were in the car. Its been 6 months where they have given me a loan and keep trying to give me no information.my vin number is [xxx] the only damage to my car from the exterior is only the scratches on my passenger tire.my phone number is [xxx].please advise on what i should do?information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that while her son was driving 70 mph, the front and rear passengerā€™s side seat air bag deployed inadvertently. The driver pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and checked the vehicle. The vehicle was not struck by an object for the air bag to deploy. The driver continued driving back to the residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact reached out to the local dealer for the vehicle to be inspected however, an appointment was not yet scheduled. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 52,000.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 15v381000 (air bags), but the remedy caused the air bag warning indicator to remain illuminated. The contact mentioned that the dealer failed to diagnose or repair the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 10,418.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag warning indicator failed to recognize a passenger in the seat. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,800. The vin was unavailable.

We purchased a new 2015 qx 60 infinity in may, 2015.we noticed when my wife sat in the front passenger seat, the air bag light went on indicating the air bag would not deploy in an accident.during the 6 month servicing, i mentioned this to the infinity service dept. And was told they would reset the sensor to zero. They also said that if the system thought my wife was a child based on her weight, the airbag would be turned off.after the service the problem continued.during the 12 month servicing, i again mentioned the issue and was told there was a recall on the sensor.three weeks laterthey called to say the qx 60 was ready.when i picked it up they again said if my wife was less than a certain weight, the air bag would not deploy.now the seat belt light is on all the time whether my wife is in the vehicle or not.we were not aware or informed of this issue prior to buying the car.it makes no sense that an infinity air bag will not deploy with my wife in the passenger seat when there has never been an issue on amy other car we have owned.to me, this is a significant safety issue.

This has broken twice since they did the recall.the red light flashes on the dash which disables the airbag. There hasn't been any other issues with the vehicle.infiniti service tried to blame me saying that it was tampered with.this is not true, i have not touched it and this has failed multiple times with no other failures.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While a passenger was seated in the passenger seat, the air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be repaired, but the dealer could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 3,400.

While driving with an adult over 100lb's in the front passenger seat the air bag off light will turn on.itseams to be classifying adult passengers as children and turning the air bag off incorrectly.

The back hatch door does not always open when either using the car faub, button in the interior or manually on the hatch itself. It will partially open and then it will beep and try and close on its own, making it difficult to either put something in or take out of the back of car without it closing on your head because the sensor does not alert that i am there. Then to close the hatch i have to force it down because the close button on the hatch will not work...it's been very frustrating because it's been happening for months now. Sometimes it opens when prompted however the majority of the times it does not!

Driver assistance pkg and around view monitor with mod does not work anymore after collision repair. The suv was repaired with genuine infiniti parts. After the repair was completed, the driver assistance package options and the moving object detection at the front no longer works. It has been at the collision center and infiniti dealership for over 2 months and they can not figure out the cause of the malfunction. All the infiniti dealership has done was said the computer does not show an error. I have asked infiniti to call in an expert engineer if they do not know how to fix it. If it is a faulty system, infiniti needs to disclose that to the public because i am sure that i am not the only one that has had a front collision in a qx60. Many people may not even know that this feature does not work on their vehicle any longer. If there is a fix for this problem, then infiniti should also disclose that instead of trying to get away with not fixing the issues. As we expect the airbag to deploy to keep us safe, we also expect our diver assistance package to work properly as well.

I was bckng out of a pkng spot between 2 cars and the back up camera showed lots of space. I made sure the right of my vehicle would not hit parked cars i was clear on the left. I backed up a few inches and heard glass break and tapped the beige brick wall. Until impact the sensors did not light up or beep at all. At the point of impact it was frenzy beeping. A witness saw the incident and we walked behind the vehicle to see damage. Because the rear lights and brake lights stick out further than the bumper the lights are damaged. I took it to the dealer the next day, tmo came out to look at my issue. He tested the back up with an employee standing behind the same sensor. It did it's job and started beeping at approx a ft. From the employee who was wearing dark uniform clothes. I was dismissed that they couldn't test the sensor because it was damaged (why would an executive put an employee behind the same "damaged" sensor that worked?i asked tmo ok humor me and back into that beige wall over there - he said to get in,passenger. He proceeded to back into the wall, neither lights nor sensor light up or beeped. I looked at the camera looked like lots of room left. I told him to keep going - see how close you can get. His answer was no, maybe your right it doesn't detect light color objects. Call consumer affairs and tell them. Consumer affairs brandon called today, he said to hold while he called the dealer to get an internal specialist scheduled to check out the sensor with the service dept. Brandon got back on the line and said since it was a collision no way to check the sensors. Well, i have a drivers sensors that wasn't affected test that one. They declined. My own family testing shows the sensors do not detect a beige or white color until the point of impact. I was told not to rely on electrical they are aids only and could fail. Beware of people in beige or white.

First off there is a safety bulletin already released. And i know 2 others who own this vehicle who have the exact same issues. It's time to actually take care of your clients and fox the drive train issue. Where when driving and turning especially at slow speeds there is a violent vibration that comes from the front of the vehicle. Please take care of your customers. The dealership originally told us this issue would be replaced under recall. Then said sorry it's just a bulletin now. But it will turn into a recall before the winter. And thai was last year.so we have waited over a year now and there is still no official infinity qx60 2015 recall.

Transmission is slipping

I have noticed my car stutter a bit when i accelerate at a low speed. It happened infrequently but as time has gone on it has gotten much worse. When i brought to dealership they charged me $100 to put it on the computer to reprogram it, of which i thought was odd. It was told to me in order to get an accurate reading on this make and year this needed to be done. After driving another 1k miles, it would reveal the problem of which is a valve system issue in the engine that can lead to a faulty transmission. This is a known problem from the research i've done. It is known that the 2013, 2014 and some 2015(if manufactured in 2014)infiniti's have this issue!! the dealership now recommends me fixing the whole valve system. They will give me a discount but that this is on me as the consumer. This is not a wear and tear issue, it is a known defect that this model/year has and im very disappointed that i have to pay to fix something that has been an existing issue with this car and i'm not guaranteed that it will correct the problem even if i do fix it. As a huge company as infiniti i would think they would stand behind their cars especially when the value system is imperative to make the car work properly and could lead to transmission failure in the future!

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact had to turn off and restart the vehicle. The contact also stated that the failure previously occurred in december of 2018. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (pepe infiniti, 300 central ave, white plains, ny 10606) to be diagnosed, but they were not able to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle jerked violently. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to riverside toyota (located at 131 us-411, rome, ga 30161, (706) 291-2886) where it was diagnosed, but a failure code could not be located. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 70,070.

There is a very loud sputtering from the engine when i am stopped. It seems as though the car is going to die. No check engine light appears. I tried revving the engine in neutral to see if that would resolve it, to no avail. I just had my state inspection performed at the dealer less than a week prior to event. No issues came up at that time.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While traveling 50 mph, the contact was pulled over by a police officer because the passenger side headlight bulb was burned out. The contact took the vehicle to infiniti of san antonio (12150 w interstate 10, san antonio, tx 78230, (210) 941-4445) where it was diagnosed that moisture seeped into the headlight and caused the burn out. The contact was given a repair estimate of $2,500. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 60,097.

Excessive condensation and internal fogging in the passenger side head lamp caused the lights (high beams, hazard beams and regular lights) to fail and remain inoperable. Driving without proper paired lighting is unsafe. The headlamp assembly was diagnosed at an infiniti dealer as requiring full replacement. Excessive condensation caused the water to damage the headlight assembly and is not associated with the normal wear and tear required by consumers. The cost of replacing said head lamp assembly exceeds $2000 even though the car has not encountered a front end collision. After contacting infiniti consumer affairs department, they concluded that no open recall existed. Therefore, infiniti would not cover the cost and i was forced to pay over $2000 to replace the waterlogged lamp as driving without said replacement during the evening, night or during poor weather conditions poses a danger to me and other drivers. The lamp assembly was faulty by design since this issue has occurred with similar infiniti vehicles and has been remedied by a recall. Nhtsa should force a recall of the qx60 headlamp that fails due to excessive condensation and is not categorized as normal wear to my vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that there was water entering into the headlamp housings. The contact stated that the headlamps needed to be replaced. The contact took the vehicle to kelly infiniti (155 andover st, danvers, ma 01923, (978) 774-1000) who stated that the headlamps assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty, and offered no further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

At approximately 40k miles, the dealer replaced the cvt because the car was "bucking" and created a code that the mechanics could see.that fixed the problem until a few thousand miles later; the car now jutters around 20-25mph on flat roads and very pronounced on inclines then produces a wobble throughout the car at speeds above 25mph.when i take my foot off the gas, the symptom stops.both the service manager and transmission specialist took the car for a ride with me and experienced the symptoms.dealer said that because it is not producing a code, there is nothing they can do.asked that i drive it for a few more weeks to see if a code appears.yesterday, i brought it back to the dealer with the same symptoms to check for a fault code; none were present.dealer said there was nothing they could do without a code and suggested i contact infiniti consumer affairs.i did that and was told a regional representative will contact me in 24 hours.in about 3 hours, that time will have passed.i am concerned that the transmission issue will leave my wife and young kids stranded.we are due to leave tomorrow for a vacation 4 hours away; i will be renting an suv for over $500 for the trip because of a lack of confidence with the vehicle.

We own this vehicle for almost three years, several time the transmission seems sluggish, shutter, and stop in high ways while it almost caused several accidents. I pulled it on side get it towed to dealership and was told the transmission failed and told to call infiniti consumer services, i did that but was told to bad we can't do anything, it seems that several owners have the same kind of issues, and the infiniti corporation knows about it. Here is the response i got from infiniti customer service. 12/29/2020case # [xxx]vin # [xxx]dear [xxx] ,thank you for taking the time to contact infiniti and allowing us the opportunity to be of assistance.please have your attorney send a letter of representation to the following address:infiniticlient affairsp.o. Same issue as 2014 infinit qx60 automatic transmission recall cut transmission is slipping. Vehicle only has 70,000

Just purchased on 3/10/19 infinity qx60 from car max with 25,727 miles at purchase and on 3/12 vehicle shutters and jerks vigorously at high and low speeds in motion on city street and while turning.

4 days after completing scheduled maintenance at the infiniti dealership the vehicle exhibited difficulty accelerating and engaging in the gears while driving on the highway. If i had to slow down and then tried to accelerate, the car would not respond.i had to remove my foot from the gas pedal and reengage the accelerator to make the car pick up speed. I did reach my destination but upon arrival could not get the car to accelerate beyond 10-15 mph. I had to have the car towed from tallahassee, fl. Back to tampa, fl. Infiniti dealership. I've just been informed the entire transmission must be replaced.

Transmissions feels like it is 'slipping' when driving slow around 20-25 mph/1000-1500 rpms. Makes car shudder/shake like it'srunning out of gas. Took to infiniti delearship - they could not replicate the issue and get a code. Was told this was just how the cvt transmission feels. Reprogrammed transmission - car still does it. Getting worse. Around 58k miles on car.

Shuddering while drivingp0776 codetransmission skipping while drivingstalling while driving

Vehicle has 73,000 miles. When driving and accelerating, the vehicle begins to shake, jerk and vibrate violently. This happens at both local and highway speeds. The frequency in which this occurs has increased significantly over the past week. The vehicle was taken to the nissan dealership. The dealership states that this is a "premature transmission failure" and is recommending a full replacement of the transmission at the customers expense. Nissan/infiniti is well aware of this issue, but is apparently taking no ownership in helping customers with resolving this premature transmission failure. The bulletin that the manufacture has issued needs to be escalated to a recall. An investigation into this matter is overdue as numerous customers have experienced this transmission failure.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. While driving 65 mph with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle began to jerk. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred several times. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (bob moore infiniti, 13000 n kelley ave, oklahoma city, ok 73131, (405) 748-8000) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,800.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that the rear driver's side lap seat belt screw, which was mounted to the door, detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who stated the support screw was not securely installed during production. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage and vin were unavailable. Updated 6/24/15

Issue:every 2-3 months car hashad a total break failure.by total brake failurei mean pedal goes all the way to bottom and seat belts tighten with 0 breaking power.pumping breaks 2-3 times then returns to normal.issue is not easily repeatable.only other symptom is break pedal seems a bit softer than usual.issue history:issue first started spring/summer 2019.tried various items to fix issue including: bleeding break lines, switching master cylinder, etc. Car primarily serviced at jim lupient infinity dealer. Last item dealer wanted was to replace was the abs , but in big capital letters (may not fix issue). Contacted infinity consumer assistance and got 0 assistance.infinity case number: 40461337 this car, as is, is a bad accident waiting to happen.we sold the car to the infinity dealer well bellow cost as could not in good conscience sell it to someone else due to how unsafe it is.this issue needs to be reported and investigated and potentially issue a recall. Intermittent issues involving the braking system. 1. Brake pedal sinks slowly to floor when braking or in stop.wheezing or chirping sound when releasing the brake pedal. 2. When braking softly, brake pedal travels about 50% before the vehicle begins slowing. 3. Issue persists the entire time the car is in use. Had several near misses with hitting vehicles and pedestrians in front. Vehicle has only 32k miles. Problem is reduced when intelligent brake assist (iba) is turned off.mechanics advised problem with abs actuator and similar issues reported on 2014 to 2017 models. Recall must be made as son as possible as there are safety critical and other drivers experiencing same issue.

Sunroof suddenly exploded at highway speed, but after only a 5 minute trip with all windows up.no weather issues, no damage to the shade panel;was not hit by anything.

I found out on saturday morning, that my sunroof was broken(looks like explode from the inside out),i checked from any stones or any debris(that could hit my car around my driveway, but there were nothing around the car and there were no marks on the roof as well).

Driving on an open freeway, the sunroof shattered from the inside outward.

The sunroof spontaneously exploded. We were driving down the highway on a sunny day. No objects struck the glass but it shattered. The remaining glass is curved outward as if pressure from within the car caused it to shatter.

Driving on interstate, sunroof exploded spontaneously. Large hole in sunroof glass. Sounded like a shotgun went off followed by shattered glass. There was no prior damage to the glass before it exploded.

When accelerating the vehicle begins to shudder and it does not accelerate in a timely fashion. While driving on the street or highway the car does not gain rpms and begins to what best can be described as coughing and shaking. Changing gears from drive to neutral or reverse also takes the vehicle time to make the change.

Sun roof collapse and explosion.driving on interstate and sunroof suddenly exploded without being hit by object. I was traveling approximately 55 mph on a cold day when the sunroof exploded. No debris was seen coming at the vehicle. No impact was heard prior to the sunroof exploding.

Driving to work on the expressway around 8:45 a.m. In the middle lane and heard a loud noise similar to a tire blowout.then heard pieces of glass falling on the inside cover of the sunroof.sunroof glass had exploded.traffic was not heavy and weather was good.

On 8/11/2018 at approximately 1315 csti was driving in the right lane of i-10 w by mile marker 126 at the posted speed limit when the sunroof exploded. No vehicles were within 200 feet of our vehicle (infiniti 2015 qx60) in daylight and clear visibility , no visible debris in roadway or vegetation overgrowth was present. The roadway was dry and in good condition. Sunroof was closed and had been operated less than ten times during the life of the vehicle.

On march 26, 2021 the sunroof exploded and shattered during commute home from work in dallas on i30 eastbound near the ferguson road exit. Traffic was surprisingly light and there were no large trucks near me.

As we were driving on the interstate we heard a very loud explosion type sound. It was night but in a well lit section of interstate. We weren't near any overpasses and were in the right lane of a three lane highway. We pulled over as soon as it was safe to see what had happened. When we checked the car we discovered our sunroof was shattered significantly. Neither of us in the front seat saw anything coming towards us and there was no evidence that anything hit us. We were traveling about 75 miles an hour with cruise control set. The sun shade was closed at the time the glass shattered so none of the glass entered the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti qx60. The contact stated that the sun roof exploded without warning. The sun roof appeared to be pressurized to the point that it buckled outward when the failure occurred. There were no injuries. The vehicle was driven and parked due to the failure. A dealer had not been notified. The manufacturer was immediately notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 25,519.
