Tl ' the contact owns a 2014 infiniti qx60 hybrid.the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated intermittently.the dealer updated the software, but the failure recurred.the manufacturer was notified.the failure mileage was 4,300.jcc updated 10/1/14 updated 3/30/2015

The contact owns a 2014 infiniti qx60 hybrid. While driving approximately 30 mph uphill, the vehicle jerked and lost power without warning. The failure occurred several times. The dealer diagnosed that the cvt needed to be reprogrammed or replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received an extended warranty from the manufacturer addressing the cvt issue, but the manufacturer would not honor the repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000.

Purchased new 2014 qx60 hybrid equipped with technology package, including intelligent brake assist with forward collision warning, and distance control assist.initially the only issue was the vehicle hesitating when starting from a stop.the dealership claimed the vehicle needed a break-in period to optimize the engine and hybrid system.two weeks later as i was driving through a parking lot less than 15 mph, the driver seat belt suddenly pre-tensed tightly as i applied the brakes, suddenly pinning me to seat until vehicle was completely stopped. It happened again the next day when gently applying brake while driving at low speed on residential street.took vehicle to dealership and explained each time it happened when applying brakes at low speed with no vehicles or obstacles in vicinity.the dealership service checked the vehicle over 24 hours and could not detect the problem, returning the vehicle to me.after a week it began again, each time tightening quickly and pinning me into my seat until vehicle completely stopped.occurred randomly at speeds less than 20mph and no cars, pedestrians or obstacles near vehicle.no alarms, no warning and no reason.now afraid to drive the vehicle as it occurred as often as 3 times in less than 24hrs, i left my vehicle at dealership for service again. After several days, both service representative and service manager stated they were able to duplicate the problem and the seat belt is not communicating with airbag/safety system or recognize the hybrid system.service representative confirmed other qx60 hybrids detected same seat belt malfunctioning during manufacturing line test.my qx60 hybrid is still in dealership service after two weeks and they cannot determine cause of seat belt malfunctioning.

Separate but related issues: 1) crash- car was parked at a gas station with nobody inside; after a minute or two it reversed, turned, came to a stop, then moved forward and crashed into a wall. Have gas station surveillance video footage to show. Has been described as "haunted." perhaps related to accident avoidance systems. 2) power does not engage on incline- on several occasions (repeatable) when the car is on a modest incline and stopped, the forward power does not engage causing car to roll backward. Gas must be pressed to 3/4 full speed in order to engage power. 3) transmission design flaw- in any gear other than park, the car can roll freely in any direction, with or without engine running. For example if facing downhill and in reverse, with car running, the car can roll forward without stop or resistance from the transmission / engine or stalling out, hence locking the engine. 4) battery issue- on two separate occasions within a few months of purchase, the battery was completely depleted requiring a jump start. Given all the electronics in the car that prevent such a thing (lights turn off, can't lock keys in car, etc) seems impossible. Dealer found no cause.

My car just shutoff engine middle of highway..i took it to dealer they couldn't find out what's problems, they hold my car 2weeks finally they found it. It was hybrid alternator..and july 18/2014 my car start flutter when back to dealer they still hold my car for replace the transmission.i feel this car need a recall for safety..

I have two concerns that need to be addressed because they have been going on for a few years.the car would short of 'stall' during acceleration (car is still on)no matter which driving mode (eco, standard or sport), which is a major concern.it had a recall on the software a few years ago, which apparently was supposed to fix the issue .however, it has not and i have taken it in several times for the same issue but the dealership could not find any problems.yet the same year and model minus the hybrid is currently recalled for the same issue.it's a concern when my kids are in the car and it stalls while making a left hand turn.other issue is when i have the driver assist on and a car next to me in a separate lane makes either a right or left hand turn and my car would immediately brake.this is a concern because of the high possibility of getting rear ended.

The contact owns a 2014 infiniti qx60 hybrid. While driving 60 mph, an abnormal noise was heard without warning when shifting into first gear. While the vehicle was parked in the driveway, the contact noticed green antifreeze leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to sanford infiniti (995 rinehart rd, sanford, fl 32771, (407) 710-2224) for a routine inspection and it was diagnosed that the air conditioner evaporator core needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

We purchased the car in november 11, 2013 and the problems started shortly thereafter.we have extensive paperwork over the course of 4 years that confirms the numerous times we've unsuccessfully attempted to get infiniti to solve the problems. At one point, infiniti supposedly fixed the problem by completely changing out the software but the problems returned. In fact, every single time we brought the car to infiniti, even if it was just for an oil change or routine service, we informed the dealership that the car wasn't functioning correctly. We have put only 37,000 miles on the car and we've taken very good care of it, performed every scheduled oil change, use only premium gas, etc.from almost as soon as we took possession, we begin experiencing severe issues:"high revving when idling"lag/hesitation when accelerating from a dead stop"high revving when applying the brakes. We were told to not drive the car in sport mode with the air condition running."transmission has needed software updates"extremely loud sounds from the engine "juddering, almost stalling because engine is not getting a steady supply of air, fuel or power"fuel tank is slow to fill and filling nozzle shuts off before tank is full "much lower mileage than promised - no better than a conventional engine car regardless of whether it is economy, regular or sport mode"braking issues. Told to not drive in a lower gear going down the steep hills as the braking actually charged the hybrid motor even though it caused our brakes to wear out prematurely.given the litany of unrepairable problems that render this car unsafe to drive with my kids, i thought the nhtsa would like to be made aware in the event there are other consumers with similar problems. I've requested that infiniti initiate a repurchase for my qx60 hybrid based on my state's lemon law.

Automatic transmission zerks and lurches, and sometimes fails to engage when starting from full stop.the same issue occurs when trying to reverse.the issue is especially a problem when starting from a full stop on a hill.the beverly hills infiniti repair garage said they could not duplicate the issue, yet it is a well-known issue as described by several owners via internet postings.

Vehicle is moving when parked in inclined position. Removing the vehicle from "park" on a inclined road it is moving freely. We have parked on a inclined road and as soon as i remove it from park to reverse it went forward freely. I have to hit the gas full, in order to control the vehicle.

Cvt recall.my car is a qx60 hybrid.infinity was sued and settled on replacements for only the qx60 gas model.my car has the same shuddering problem that was the basis for the lawsuit; but for some reason the lawsuit settlement did not include the hybrid models.my cvt transmission has begun to suffer the same "juddering" problem which as affected so many of the qx60 models, both hybrid and gas.

The transmission needs to be replaced on my 4 year old vehicle cost from infinity to repair $6500 . I opened a case with infinity consumer affairs and they denied it. I found a warranty that was extended to 94,000 due to this same issue. I was 400 miles over and they denied me. The car's engine revs very high and is very loud, not normal.

My car is a 2014 qx60 hybrid. Infinity was sued and settled on without car replacement. My car has the same shuddering problem that was the basis for the lawsuit.cvt transmission was replaced twice under my 70k warranty.my cvt transmission has begun to suffer the same "juddering" problem which as affected so many of the qx60 models, both hybrid and gas.i took it after warranty many times to dealer and they can't solve the problem.now i have to pay for every single minimum step even car wash.i have so much paperwork of this and many others issues with this car that would take for ever to upload.

On a recent trip to san antonio, tx hill country on a very hot day, the hybrid system over-heated on a slow speed climb to a steep hill. Engine and transmission shutter and stopped powering the wheels. The vehicle start to roll back on to cars coming behind. I had to press emergency brake and shut off the engine for 10 minutes. On start the hybrid warning sign was still on. However the powerr to wheel were back with car still shuttering. From then onwards had to start and stop the engine until reaching the top of the hill. On reaching top, had to stop and park the car for 2 hrs. Start the car again, still the hybrid warning sign on. Then drove down the hill avoiding any more up hills a into costco parking and left the car parked for 3 hrs. After that, start the car and the hybrid warning sign went off. Drove back to houston and showed to the dealer and the computer diagnostic code shows hybrid motor inverter controller failed. Also notice the part of third row seat burnt where the hybrid battery is stored. However the dealer mentions they battery is fine. Now we are scared to drive this car on very hot days to any steep hill. Failure of power to wheels was pretty scary. With brunt mark on the third row seat makes this car even more scarier since this car is only used by my wife and kids. Thinking of anything happening to them because of fire or power failure makes this car really unreliable. Another issue that happens very winter is loud knocking during extreme cold (32 below) days. We live in sugar land (houston) tx. Very seldom we get very cold days. However whenever we do, there is extremely loud knocking sound coming from the front passenger side of the engine compartment. As per dealer this is normal with infiniti qx60 hybrid. I spent close to $67k for this car. I have been extremely disappointed with performance of this car.

Constantly variable transmission slips with hard acceleration and slips severely in reverse.this happens any time under quick.acceleration whether on streets or highways. In reverse it happens always.

When i try to accelerate the car pauses/delays before moving. When i place the car in reverse the engine sound like its racing and its barely moving.this happens when i first go to accelerate from a stationary position. The reverse just started today 01/22/2019 but the delay in accelerating from when i first purchased the vehicle last year. I thought because it was a hybrid with the delay stating this was supposed to happen.

Purchased the vehicle used in august 2018, with about 50k miles. Brought the car into infiniti of williamsville, ny complaining of a problem noticed with the transmission and hybrid system.the service dept. Cleared a code from some computer and told me to keep an eye on it.i brought the car in again, complained that the transmission was revving up and down a couple of 1000 rpm?this time the service dept. Performed a software update, and again told me to report any problems.finally at 64724 miles the transmission failed all together.the vehicle wouldn't accelerate, as the transmission was slipping in and out of gear.the hybrid system tried to keep car going, but it threw out an over-heating message. Was able to get the car off the road and into a parking lot away from other traffic. The next day i had the vehicle towed to the dealership.where after 10 days of service, the dealership agreed to replace the transmission under the 70k miles power train warranty. A total of 24 days to replace a problem that no doubt they knew about from the onset was a major disappointment.i was told that the new transmission had 12 months, or 12k miles warranty, but haven't received that in writing from the dealer ship.

This is the second time my car has rolled with my child inside the vehiclei had the car in my driveway which is on a level ground not elevated i put my car in park and opened the door because i realized i had to run into the garage to close it and the car started rolling this time my driver door got caught on the house and nowi have over $3000 in repairs the first time no damage to my car other than my son going through emotional trauma and myself too . The car rolled in park in my driveway out into the road with my son in it . The car stopped when it hit the curb of the sidewalk

Driving from houston to austin on 71 at 65mph on july 27th 2017. No traffic around me, no debris on road. Sunroof exploded outwards. No impact from debris but was very hot day. Tested temp of sunroof afterwards with laser reader - showed 165f.

While driving approximately 65 miles an hour in my 2 week old infiniti q60 iwas startled by the sound of what i thought was a gunshot.my husband instructed me to pull off to the side of the road as he thought perhaps a tire had blown.to our surprise the sunroof had exploded.this resulted in a large hole with glass facing upward.luckily no one was injured by the glass that entered the vehicle.
