I own a 2002 infiniti qx4 suv truck. I am filing a complaint about the front drivers side seat belt and shoulder harness. When seat belt is fastened, the shoulder harness rubs your neck while driving, so in the event of an accident i believe the shoulder harness will cut and injure the drivers neck. This is serious and should be replaced. Thank you for your attention.

At the time of the incident, i was taking a left hand turn into a driveway going approximately 5-10mph when i heard a "popping" sound come from the right side of the car as i was turning. After further investigation, the sound would occur when taking a right or left turn, either accelerating or not. I felt incredibly unsafe driving it. Took it for an inspection at a trusted mechanic on 7/29/13, he test drove it and deemed it unsafe to drive. I was told by the mechanic that he could not repair it because it was a manufacturing issue due to a lot of corrosion under the car and the work needed to be done by the dealership. Towed to the dealership on 7/30/13, dealership will not fix it, says it is not a manufacturing issue. Rewind to april 20th, 2011, qx4 2002 recalled in a number of states including massachusetts, original recall date: 4/20/11 for corrosion problems due to road salt and snow/water. The recall id states the consequences of this corrosion will be that "the strut housing may crack and pull away from the inner hood ledge assembly. This may lead to grinding noises, increased steering effort, and possibly steering column to break, resulting in the loss of steering control, which could result in a crash." back in the winter of 2011-2012, took the car to the dealership because the vehicle was part of the recall. I was told by the dealership that the corrosion problem was fixed and the car was safe to drive. Now i have a dealership that refuses responsibility for an outstanding corrosion problem, a claim with infiniti that is going no where and a car i cannot drive because it cannot be fixed.
My suv is qx4 model 2002, id# [xxx], the steering column is the trouble.it was making squeaking noise for last several years, repaired again and again and again by infinity of memphis, paying myself, but the noise will not go away, but was told by infinity of memphis, not to worry about it, as, their computer says, my car is ok. We always take our car for servicing there only as we live in memphis and they are my dealer.on 2/9/2011 pm, while driving straight, the steering did not act right. The car turned left, hit the curb, barely missing hitting an on coming vehicle on my left, burst the left front tire slicing side of it on the edge of the curb, hit left front corner of vehicle, popping up the left fog light, then on backing up, hit the right back side of the car on something. The tire was changed to spare one, then a brand new tire. The incidence was reported to infinity of memphis on 2/10/2011 and i delivered the car to them . The car does not ride well, makes the squeaking sound at steering still and does not act right. We are a family of physicians, need dependable car. The infinity makes great cars, we own another infinity sedan also. While driving on the interstate the car started to accelerate and was not able to fully stop when i stepped on the brakes.once the car was put into park the engine revved all the way up to 8.had the engine and valves cleaned which they said was the problem.on 7/23/2012 the same thing happened and was told the same thing was wrong got it cleaned but the gas pedal keeps sticking and the car continues to accelerate.
2002 infiniti qx4in a parking lot at about 5mph.intending to park straight ahead against a concrete wall.one car length behind the parking space.beginning to brake. Sudden acceleration propelled the car forward and hit the wall head-on, despite effort to brake.there was a surging power sound and the car was clearly accelerating.at least one of the rear wheels continued to revolve under power after the car was stopped against the wall.
I had an oil change on saturday.after leaving the service station and driving home the vehicle begin to accelerate on its own.i tried breaking but the vehicle continued to accelerate.after barely missing two vehicles and unable to come to a complete stop, i turned off the main road and killed the ignition.still unaware of what was happening i waited a few minutes and attempted to complete my mission home only to run into the same behavior. Once i arrived home i parked the car until monday morning.unable to drive i called the tow truck company and had my suv taken to the dealership.it turned out the issue was a bad throttle cable that got stuck.

While driving my 2002 infiniti qx4 with three other adults and an infant in the auto, the entire hub of the right rear wheel broke away and after causing damage to the side and door of the car, continued to fly down the street.i was traveling at 40 mph on a suburban street. The police officer who assisted told us that we were lucky to be alive.fletcher jones/chicagowhere this vehicle was purchased no longer handles infiniti so the car was inspected at infiniti of lisle, ill. Althoughthese wheels are the original wheels purchased on the vehicle, they claim no responsibility and have reported all three other wheels in danger of the same failure.i have sought the assistance of infiniti's consumer affairs and regional specialists and have e-mailed their corporate hdqrtrs offering photos as this is a huge safety issue.i have not received an answer. By infinit's own admission these wheels could fail on my or any other inifiniti vehicle in the marketplace and i cannot understand how their regional safety specialist refused to review the photos and felt a final, informed determination had been made.considering that upon infiniti's inspection, all four wheels could fail, this is obviously not an isolated incident and merits the attention of your organization.
