The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. While driving 45 mph, a deer collided with the vehicle and landed on the front driver side of the hood, windshield, and roof. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained scratches on her body from the broken class, but did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent collision lot. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

The vehicle is on a national do not sell list, this is awful for resale value!!!

When i bought my 2014 infiniti q50 i put it on the road and then i started receiving recalls. I also had several lights on. I brought it back to dealership they did something like clearing the lights without even looking at it. 45 days after i bought this vehicle i was in a serious motor vehicle accident. I almost died and i lost my spleen. One of the airbags didn't deploy which was the reasoning for losing my spleen. I believe my steering locked up and ended up hitting guardrail. Total loss. I lost 4,000 because of this accident never mind i all most lost my life!!! this accident happened on the highway.

The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a collision center. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags). The part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Hi, i purchased this vehicle at 7/31/2015. It's a brand new q50 2015 premium. I met two issues about it: 1. It's passenger air bag. The passenger air bag status light is on with an adult occupying the front passenger seat for the first a few minutes, sometimes is 2 mins, sometimes is even 5 mins, but it supposed to be off after 7 seconds. I'm worried about the my safety in that period. 2. The seat belt issue. Once i was sitting on the passenger seat, i didn't buckle up yet, but the seat belt status lights was not illuminated. Yesterday, my boyfriend dropped me off, after i left the passenger seat and took off my car, he saw the seat belt status light was on. I tried to communicate with the dealer and customer service, but it seems they can't help me at all. They just told me there's no code shows any issues need to be fixed. I really want to just return the car.......updated 12/10/15

Takata recall - passenger airbag.i've had this car for 9 months and i can't have passengers ride in it?get me a loaner car then.

The air bag light just popped up on my dash board

The contact owned a 2015 infiniti q50. While accelerating from a stop at 10 mph, another vehicle ran a red light. The other vehicle struck a pedestrian and then struck the passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The contact's vehicle then crashed into a cement divider. The contact's seven year old son was seated in the back seat. The air bags deployed, but failed to inflate. A police report was filed. The driver and rear passenger sustained injuries, which required medical attention. The passenger sustained whiplash and the driver sustained bruising to the lower back/sternum, which required x-rays, cat scans, and physical therapy. The driver also sustained headaches, nausea, and stomach issues that were possibly caused by inhaling fumes from the air bags. The driver was currently seeking an ear/nose/throat doctor. The vehicle was towed to a police impound lot. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer provided case number: 28713788 and was supposed to send a dvd on how the deployment of the air bags worked; however, the contact failed to receive the dvd. The contact found nhtsa campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags) for his vehicle, which was confirmed by the manufacturer. The vehicle was declared destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 28,429.

Passenger airbag warning light on when my wife (145lbs) is in the passenger seat. This happens from the moment the car is turned on and persists the entire timewhile driving. Was told if the warning light was on that the airbag would most likely not deploy in an accident. This occurs each and ever time my wife is in the vehicle over the course of the past nine months. There have been recalls on many nissan/infiniti vehicles in 2013 and 2014, and it seems that this safety issue is present in the 2015 models as well. Dealers recommendation was to have my wife sit in a different seat!?!?two photos attached - first is closeup ofilluminated passenger airbag warning light. Second photo shows a wider view showing the air bag warning light and the passenger appropriately seated with seat belt on.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated and remained lit. The vehicle was serviced at orlando infiniti (4237 millenia blvd, orlando, fl 32839, 321-594-4014), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle as the air bag indicator remained illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. While driving 55 mph, an 18 wheeler passed the contact's vehicle and splashed water onto the road. The contact's vehicle hydroplaned and crashed into the truck. The vehicle then spun 360 degrees before crashing into a guardrail and knocking down a highway sign. The air bags did not deploy. The rear windshield shattered, all four doors were smashed in, and the front grill became detached. The vehicle was towed to an impound yard. The contact received a slight concussion and received medical attention at a hospital on her own. A police report was filed. The insurance company had not yet made a determination to total the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted, filed a report, and promised to call back within 72 hours. The dealer was not contacted. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 29,000. The vin was unknown.

Takata recall tge airbags left my pasenger and i with hurt chests n was painful instead of protective

Your form doesn't work for me.all systems were affected.i totaled my car while driving up a hill, in cruise control, and i hit a puddle.the car accelerated into the median.i was no longer a driver; i was a passenger.

On 12-04-2018 my wife and i began a road trip from southern california to bozeman, montana in our 2015 infiniti q50.the infiniti q50 is equipped with driver and passenger seat warmers.due to the extreme cold, my wife (passenger) activated her right front passenger seat warmer to the high setting.the right front passenger seat warmer was activated from northern nevada to idaho falls, idaho, approximately for 9 hours.as we approached idaho falls, my wife and i began to smell a burnt odor coming from within the interior of the passenger compartment of the infiniti.we immediately pulled over and my wife located the burnt smell coming from the right front passenger seat where my wife's right elbow had been resting during the trip.the seat warmer had heated the seat to the point where it had burned through the layering and softened the leather to the point where my wife's elbow went through.this was an immediate concern and we turned off both seat warmers.on 12-17-2018, upon our return from montana we took the infiniti q50 to the perry infiniti dealership of escondido, ca where it was left for inspection.on 12-19-2018 we were told by perry infiniti dealership that the damage would not be covered due to their findings.perry infiniti stated that they believed the damage to be caused by an outside source.this to us was impossible since we are not smokers nor do we transport any flammable products in our vehicle. We contacted the infinity consumer affairs and reported the incident but met with the same negative results.a consumer affairs case was started and we were told that the ultimate decision would be made by the dealership.we find this very disturbing and see future issues with infiniti's seat warmers that could ultimately lead to bodily harm.thank god for my wife's layering of clothing or she may have received bodily harm.

Cars steering wheel will clunk and turn opposite directions will reversing into parking spots or slowly taking off from being stationary. This has happened a few times over the course of 4 months and i've only had the car for about 7. Last night i was pulling into my driveway and the steering wheel sharply turned right, i shifted the car to park, and the car just completely died. Nothing had worked at that point, no lights, ignition, keys, nothing. I got out of the car and shut the driver door and everything turned back on except now the steering wheel won't turn unless using unreasonable force. Power steering light illuminated, chassis control. This has also happened on my test drive with the vehicle in december of 2018 with 54,000 miles before purchasing . The steering wheel slightly twitched and i expressed my concern to the dealer and he said it was normal. It was very lightly that you could hardly tell it did it so i wasn't suspicious of the car having problems. This has not almost caused in accidents but i have a 3 month old girl and this is very unsafe and also my only car.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle jerked, shifted gears, reduced speed, the odometer flashed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the heating and air conditioning system went from cold to hot. The contact got off the nearest exit and pulled over and waited a while before continuing to drive home to park the vehicle. The contact stated that a diagnostic code reader retrieved dtc code: p0720 (output speed sensor). The contact contacted infiniti of tampa (4600 n dale mabry hwy, tampa, fl 33614; (813) 694-1579) and was informed that the camshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

Tail light on the car caught on fire in the middle of the night in the off position outside my residence.

I was simply driving on the street when my vehicle stopped in the middle of the road causing cars to almost hit me.i was not involved in any accident but infiniti has informed me that the emergency shut off was activated for unknown reason causing my ac compressor to blow and entire fuse box to be destroyed. My car only has 70k miles on it so this a safety hazard. These parts need to be recalled immediately there's no legitimate reason for a new car to do this. According to the manual the emergency shut of for infiniti hybrids only happened when involved in major car accidents. This is not right.

My car pause and jerks then stops. This is the second time this has happened after being fixed. The mechanic said they had a recall on the 2016 models for this but not the 2015 but had to correct many of the 2015 models. The check engine light came on after it stopped. I was on the interstate the last time when it stopped. I am afraid that it might happen again without any warning. This is a life threatening defect that infiniti needs to correct asap.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle lost power and crashed into a guardrail. There were no warning indicators illuminated before the failure. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The contact sustained minor injuries, which did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Infiniti of riverside (3040 adams st, riverside, ca 92504 (951) 373-5200) was notified. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 40,000.

On numerous occasions while in motion at various speeds the vehicle will audibly alert, brake, steer, and deaden throttle response.these are related to enhanced safety features of the vehicle.the problem is that these occur when there is nothing to avoid or any danger present.these have occurred at high speeds and in situations where they could have caused an accident.my local dealership blamed all issues on the placement of an ez pass transponder.i find this to be completely absurd.infiniti customer care will not assist.i have disabled all of these systems to avoid potentially dangerous situations.i note in the dates that this occured on 10/10/15, however there have been multiple instances.on 10/10/15 the vehicle steering had to be held at 30-45 degrees to the left to keep the vehicle in a straight line.

Engine and/or transmission lost torque power.since 2016 while car only had 11,000 miles all of the sudden car lost torque power while accelerating. Check engine indicator has never light up and dealer consult scanner has never found the issue. Still car doesnt have same acceleration nor torque while going 0-60mph. Already i've seen so far 4 cars of the same year with speed sensor problems and replacement. Mechanics say it begins by loosing power until stops working and car wont move.

In the case of most newer cars, including my own, there is a problem with the rules for headlights.when the lights are in the on or auto position, the headlights will come on, as well as the tail-lights.when the lights are in the off position, newer cars will sense when twilight is falling and turn on both the headlights and dashboard lights but not the tail-lights.this will give the driver the sense that he has his lights on (for he can see that his headlights are on) but has no idea that his tail-lights are not on, and that therefore his car is extremely difficult to see in the dark.the only indicator in my car that would tell me is the green light on my dashboard telling me that the headlights on in the on or auto position.i am an uber driver in san francisco and find myself telling many drivers of many different kinds of cars that their lights are not in the on position.they are always grateful to know.the problem, i think, is that all the car manufacturers are following your directions, not thinking outside the box, and not realizing that you and they have created a potentially deadly situation.i hope that you can direct auto manufacturers to repair and replace this situation.if the headlights go on, then the tail-lights need to go on, regardless of the position on the lighting stem.thank you.if you need to talk to me about this more, i can be reached at [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Since i received the car back in 2015, the rear back up camera has a tendency to remain on the screen even when the vehicle is placed from reverse to drive. I have taken the car into the dealership service center on coney island avenue in brooklyn ny numerous times and showed them how the rear camera was stuck on the video monitor. They suggested i shut the car off and started it again, which alleviated the issue temporarily until it happened numerous times again. This poses a very serious hazard especially if you cannot stop and restart the car.

I get distortive images and intense glares from headlights of cars behind me, and coming towards me when driving at night.these images are vertical beams of light with horizontal lines and shoot towards the sky.every car behind you will reflect two beams with the lines, and if there are several cars behind you it becomes more pronounced, like a sea of vertical beams with glaring lights.i also get intense glares of lights from headlights behind me and coming towards me.it feels like every car behind or coming towards me have their high beams on.this experience is blinding, distracting, disturbing, makes me disoriented, and is a safety issue.since taking ownership of this vehicle on march 19, 2015, i have had to limit my night driving.this experience has substantially impaired my enjoyment of this vehicle.i have complained to the dealer and the manufacturer, and to date, no resolution.the dealer, nationwide infiniti of timonium claims that the problem cannot be corrected.dealer claims that the auto dimmer is not faulty and all the q50's drive this way.

I have a 2015 infiniti q50. I believe i'm experiencing the same fuel pump eco mode problem as the 2016-2017 q50. Me, my wife and newborn daughter were on our way home on the express way during rush hour in eco mode with approximately 35 miles before empty, we were about 2 miles away from the nearest fuel station. We were traveling east doing about 40 mph due to heavy traffic when all of sudden my q50 started to bog down and then eventually stalled . Luckily we were right next to the shoulder. I pull over pop the hood looked everything over and all seemed fine. Tried to restart and car would turn over, start, and then stall as if there was isn't any gas in the car. After calling my father in law , while waiting, i looked up the symptoms and saw the same issue in the 2016-17 models, recall#17v476000 recall date 07/27/2017 component electrical system: software. I mean symptoms were spot on exact. I believe this needs to be investigated as i'm probably not the only person with a 2015 q50 experiencing this. With the caliper of this car this should not be happening and i most definitely don't want this to happen while my wife and daughter are traveling together without me. I also called the infiniti dealership for them to only make mefeel like they didn't want to deal with it.please help safe car.gov

I was driving my infiniti q50 and puled up to a light. When it turned green i proceeded when i noticed my check engine light comes. It won't shift past 3rd gear. It seems to be in limp mode but there was a tractor trailer barreling down on me.so i get to 35 mph and ride the side of the road. Once i got home i did a search and apparently there are a lot of issues with this transmission.most indicated it was the valvebody and that it could cost upward of $2,500.00 plus there is a back order on them. This is my only car and can't have it tied up to long. I have an appointment to have it diagnosed this coming wednesday, 06/09/2021. I can't drive it or i will burn up the transmission. If there is such a large problem i would think this would have a recall on it. My car only has 65, 624 miles on the clock. This needs to be addressed.i am hoping for a miracle when it gets diagnosed but with all the evidence out there about the bad transmission in these cars i am expecting the worse.

On 5-25-2021 while merging into traffic on busy i-75. My 2015 infiniti q50 did not change into a higher gear as it should have causing the vehicle to not accelerate and lose power then the check engine light came on a few seconds after failure.this failure of the vehicles drive train placed my wifeā€™s life and my life in extreme danger in which we were not able to accelerate with the flow of traffic and was nearly ran over by several semi tractor trucks. The vehicle is in the repair shop for the transmission valve body failure and replacement. Iā€™ve looked this issue up online where numerous owners of this type vehicle have complained and described this as a common problem with these vehicles.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. The contact stated that when she was about to drive the vehicle, her son who was sitting in the passengerā€™s side seat noticed that the passenger seat belt retractor was locked. Her son was unable to stretch the seat belt to securely buckle the seat belt. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the entire seat belt assembly needed to be replaced. The contact also contacted bob moore infiniti (13000 n kelley ave, oklahoma city, ok 73131) who informed her that she would be responsible for the cost of the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 96,200.

While vehicle is in motion there's a squeaking noise coming from under the driver's seat towards the middle console. The squeaking noise usually happens when turning or driving over speed bumps/manhole covers and things alike and these incidents occur mostly on city streets.

Lack of steering control, responsiveness resulting in delayed turning.i was driving on a residential street, and had a delayed turn resulting in an accident.

Place the car in reverse to back out of a parking space. When i got to my stopping point i applied my brakes to stop to shift gears to go forward. Upon pressing the brakes the vehicle would not stop and continue to roll backwards i pressed harder to stop the vehicle it did not stop it rolled over a curb and backed into another car before it stopped. Once i turned off the car and re-started the car again the brakes worked properly. Damage occurred to both vehicles.

Recently i was sitting at a stoplight about 3rd in line behind a ford explorer. I live in atlanta so stoplights are extraordinarily long. I had the car in drive obviously and my foot firmly on the brake. About 5 minutes into the red light my car starts to slowly move forward while my foot was still firmly on the brake. The movement was similar to if the brake had been released and the car was coasting in drive. Fortunately i left some distance between myself and the explorer in front of me, but obviously a moment of panic comes over me when my car is moving forward with my foot on the brake. I attempted to push even harder on the brake with no results, my car is still inching forward closer and closer to the explorer in front of me. The brake felt firm like it should be working. I had to think fast and then slammed the gear shift into park. This finally stopped the moving vehicle in what seemed like only millimeters in time to avoid rear ending the suv in front of me. This is the second time this has happened to me where the car starts to move at a prolonged stop while my foot is on the brake. I'm going to try to replicate the incident in a controlled safe environment today, but needless to say it was a very scary moment and i'm truly worried about the safety on this vehicle.

First initial incident: around sept/oct of 2015, i was driving in a freeway where there was a heavy traffic. Cars were running at a speed of 10-20 mph. I was slowly approaching to a stop by stepping on my brake. That was when my brake would lock on me and the car would not stop to move forward. Luckily since i wasnt going fast, i avoided an accident with the car in front of me.recent incident: happened jan/feb 2016, i was on my work's parking lot when it happened again. I hit my company work truck in the rear (my car pretty much got buried under that truck) and caused my car to have a damage on my hood and bumper.i reported this incident to infiniti usa 3/1/2016, great service by the way, telling them all my incidents. I didnt report on my initial incident since i thought it was just a one time thing. What if i drove 70-80mph on the freeway and this happened? my life's at a risk with this vehicle. I drive a lot for work but this cannot keep happening time to time.so after my report to infiniti, they opened my case (will not share my case number) and will send it to a incident specialist. I haven't repaired any of my damage from the malfunction yet because i strongly believe i am not liable for any of this damage. I read one of the complaints on november, 2016, and that person's case got rejected. I am guessing infiniti does not want to agree their malfunctions and blame it on the customer? i am afraid that since i do not have a dashboard camera or anything that will support my story, it may be rejected. But i am willing to act upon their decision if it does not resolve the way how it should be resolved. Highly concerned about anyone's safety now driving this vehicle around.

My vehicle has an optional tech package that provides forward braking, lane departureand backup braking.apparently when i hit a pothole, these safety featuresoccasionally turn off. Iv'e had these car for 4 1/2 years and became aware of this problem about 6 months ago.i'm have become dependent on these safety enhancements and no-longer feel comfortable when driving. I have complained the dealership since november 19 and still have not received a positive responseall i want is to have a working safety system..

I was driving on the fwy traffic was slow; my speed was between 20-25 miles phbrakes didn't respond when i applied the brakes i end up hitting the vehicle in front of me luckily nothing happens to the vehicle in front of me i have to leave went to small mechanic shop they said the brake peddle is bend because when i hit the brakes hard to stop.

I was driving 2015 infinity q50 (purchased on 02/28/2015) on lee road, shaker heights, ohio 44120, which had a first scheduled maintenance on 09/14/2015 at the beachwood infinity dealer.i stopped at the intersection of lee road and chagrin blvd. Behind a black jeep for waiting traffic.i had my car in drive and my foot firmly on the brake, about few seconds passed and suddenly my car started to move slowly forward while my foot was still firmly on the brake.as my car did not stop, i attempted to push the brake harder and to avoid rear collision with jeep, i turned toward sidewalk, in a moment my car just took off at the speed, hitting fixed objects on side walk, missing some on coming vehicles and by grace of god i managed my car and came on chagrin blvd. Without further incidents. I had my dash cam on which has recorded the incident.this incident occurred on 09/18/2015. After few days i notified the infinity and the company issued a claim # 20499682. After seven days mr. Terry matt clark, incident investigation specialist, nissan north america inc. Called me and told me he can not scheduled the inspection immediately and scheduled on 11/06/2015, during this time vehicle was restored with the damage over $22,000.00 which i claimed thru my auto insurance.on 11/16/2015 i received the letter from mr. Clark, denying the problem with the car and not responsible for any claim.

First of all this is the second instance for this, the first time it happened the dealer dismissed as the drive assist behaving normally. However while my wife was taking our son to school this morning 04-15-16, the steering wheel decided to turn to the right suddenly at 45mph, luckily my wife was able to correct for it by steering in the opposite direction. She then called me and said that something is wrong with the steering of the car and that it kept was pulling to right hard. I told her to find a safe place to pull over and turn the car off and then start it again. After she was able to stop somewhere safely she turned the car off and then restarted it and the steering seemed normal. I have expressed my concerns of the safety of the drive by wire and steering assistto the dealer we bought it from and to infiniti consumer affairs when this happened the first week of owning the car, now that it has happened again have no confidence in the safety of this car, especially with my 3 year old in it. I can not express to the worry i go through every time they drive the car. I intend on contacting both the dealer and infinity consumer affairs but i know what i can expect from them, next step is contacting a lemon law lawyer fro further advice.

When the car had 8k miles on it, the front rotors went bad i.e. Defected and infiniti dealer fixed them and replaced the front pads as a warranty item. Now at under 24k miles, the rear breaks are gone bad but the dealer and infiniti corp. Are denying they're defected and refuse to fix them. This is my 3rd infiniti, i had before a 2008 g35s, and 2013 g37s, i drive my car regularly in town and highway, no excessive driving, and my rear brakes never went bad on other infiniti cars under 24k miles. I believe the rear breaks have problems just like the front ones did and the dealer considered them defected rotors basically and fixed them as a warranty item. The dealer recommended me to replace them few weeks ago when the car was in the shop for some electrical problem, but the breaks didn't make any noise at the time and i thought the dealer just wants to make some money. But, starting yesterday i heard the grinding sound and that's when i called the dealer back and also talked to infiniti consumer affair, and they refused to cover them.

Loss of steering control after start of car, steering pulls hard to one side.has happened at least 4 times.it is my understanding that other q 50 have been recalled for this intermittent steering problem. I do have video of the last occurrence, but it exceeds 5mb.

There are time when i go to turn my steering wheel i am giving more force to turn the car and my car shows no mechanical damage or anything but when i turn the wheel it stiffens up a lot and it is not smooth to turn especially when i am making turns i see this and it is when i'm in the city mostly.

Turned the vehicle on, pulled out of parking spot and heard a noise from the front of the vehicle as steering wheel was turned. The steering was very tight and the vehicle was difficult to maneuver. As the speed increased, the steering loosened, and as the vehicle decelerated, the vehicle became nearly impossible to maneuver. The power steering fluid is full, and the vehicle appeared to be in good condition. There were no accidents or incidents prior to this issue, and the vehicle operated without issue prior to this incident.

Car pulls to the left on its own , happens pretty often. The force is so bad that i can berely keep the car on the road. Have taken the car to dealer 6 times they called infiniti manufacturer engineer and he said they could not find the problem i have several videos i am afraid to drive this car. The car does that few mins after starting the car it pulls to the left with a hard force for like 2-3 mins than becomes normal like nothing ever happened.

The vehicle suddenly pulls very hard to the right requiring force to keep in a straight line.the vehicle did not experience any alignment altering potholes or road bumps.this is a dangerous software malfunction with the das. I am very lucky this occurred at low speed and without my children in the car.

The vehicle is on a national do not sell list, this is awful for resale value!!!

While driving on the highway 60 plus mph, i lost control of the vehicle. I turned the steering wheel left and the car went right. This occurred twice on two separate days. This is a major safety issue. ...updated 12/03/15 updated 10/30/2017

Lack of steering control, responsiveness resulting in delayed turning.i was driving on a residential street, and had a delayed turn resulting in an accident.

I just learned this week that my infiniti q50 has been determined to be one of the three vehicles most vulnerable to automated hacking, along with the jeep cherokee and the cadillac escalade. Consequently, chrysler recalled 1/4 million jeep cherokees in order to patch their software to prevent hackers from taking remote control of these vehicles. I attempted to contact infiniti and they refuse to acknowledge that there is even a problem, let alone that they are working on a patch of their own. I want to know what the nhtsa is going to do about this, as opposed to waiting until someone is killed before acting. Hurrah for chrysler!

I was driving to work atapprox 6:15am on hwy 17. Speed was approx 40mph when the sunroof suddenly exploded. Most of the glass flew out showering the cars behind me. I didn't hear or see anything hit the sunroof.

Was driving my infiniti q50 on a normal dry day when all of a sudden it down shifted or felt like i was driving a standard model vs automatic... I pull over my engine light comes on.. I turned off all sensors associated with the intellitouch system thinking it was not judging the distance correctly between cars because it will automatically slow your car down... Continued driving and i'm noticing as i try to accelerate my car is not shifting into 3rd gear... So i get to about 35-40 mph and now i can tell it's revving in the same gear..get home google the issue and it seems the valve body on the 2015 q50 has a thread... Go to youtube this guy has a video about him being told it's the speed sensors... But when he went for repair infiniti informs him the valve body needs replacing. I took my car into an infiniti dealer , spent $180 to have a diagnostic run and was told their is a service bulletin for the speed sensors that they should just replace the valve body. The valve body is $1635 and on a national back order as of august 2020 when i'm experiencing this issue.. Called infiniti consumer affairs and i'm told well unless you pay for the part we can't do anything to get it expedited... It's been 45 days... So i have to tie up $1700 and don't know when this part may be available.. Can't drive car because i'll burn my transmission up... The valve body in 2015 q50's need to be recalled...i could have been on the freeway or driving to or from louisiana from houston.. Luckily i was within 15 miles of my home.. Called the other 2 infiniti dealers in houston none of them have it in stock and have at least 1 q50 waiting for repair.. Called the dealer in austin also no stock with 2 valve bodies on reserve... I have 106000 miles on my q50 and it's no longer under warranty.. This issue has beenreported at fewer miles like 30k-50k so has nothing to do with the age of the car.

Issue:j hooks holding floor mat creates driver safety issue.j hooks are not stationary and when rotate causes floor mat to come loose and create safety issue by preventing properly using gas and brake pedal.background: purchased 2015 infiniti q50 as cpo infiniti thousand oaks w\11,992 miles on 5/4/16. 5/21/16 with 12,622 took first time into dealer to address issue of driver floor mat sliding around and bunching up preventing me at time from appropriately reaching the gas or brake pedal.dealer indicate this is normal with car models..7/26/16 took back to dealer as issue was happening daily.dealer srv manager looked at and acknowledged issue and offered me new floor mats and replacement of j hooks.accepted. 8/11/16 3rd time at 16,825 miles.same issue again with j hooks and floor mat.this time dealer inspected and indicated floor mat comes loose from floor hook. Unable to make further repair to car.i escalated to infiniti customer affairs with letter and phone call.i asked for vehicle buy back under california lemon law. Approx. 12 days later infiniti replied with following:infiniti realizes situations may occur with your infiniti vehicle that, unfortunately, fall outside of the parameters of the new vehicle limited warranty provided with your vehicle. They said no way in not to many words.talked to lemon lawyer and said be careful dealer doesn't like to be sued, they will hire expert witnesses and if you lose you have to pay for their witnesses. Went back to dealer and was told all the j hooks do the same thing.they are not stationary and rotate around and if you step out of the car and put pressure on the mat it will move.was told we won't put this into writing.i bought a ugly all winter thick rubber mat which is heavy and doesn't move around.given floor mat issues infiniti should taker of issue better.

The contact owns a 2015 infiniti q50. While driving at approximately 30 mph around a curve with the brakes engaged, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle decelerated without warning. The issue recurred multiple times. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technician inspected the vehicle and stated that it was working up to standards. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. Ma 10/5the dealer stated the vehicle was not defective. They were able to demonstrated the stumbling of the engine, was caused by the consumers driving habit of braking with his left foot, rather than the right. The consumer stated his complaint was unwarranted. Updated 10/19/15.

Came to a slow stop at a red light in my 2015 infiniti q50. My foot was directly on the brake. Within seconds the car began to pull forward and i applied additional pressure on the brakes by using both feet. The engine was racing out of control and the tires were screeching. Sifting the gears did not help. I let off the brake and turned right instead of straight in order to avoid hitting cars. Shifting violentlky the car finally went back to normal. The dealer denies the car is at fault and says this is a case of human error.
