Vehicle lurches back and forth when accelerating with a good amount of effort from a stop on right hand turns causing the car to act like it is slamming on the brakes and then accelerating repeatedly for about 3-4 seconds.this has nearly caused me to be rear ended numerous times.i have had the vehicle in the shop 3 times for this and was told it was not normal and that traction control was detecting wheel spin when there was none, and activating when it shouldn't be.i had a case opened with infiniti consumer affairs and am now being told that it is "normal operation" for a hybrid because they tested on other hybrids and experienced it!?!?that is recall territory.this is a severe safety issue as acceleration is retarded and can easily cause a crash as it is very unpredictable.only happens when accelerating on a right turn from stop. Goes away if traction control is off.4th and last infiniti i will purchase.numerous cases online with same issue and infiniti buying back the vehicle.why would they buy vehicle back if it was "normal operation"?

Infiniti hybrid vehicles shut off engine while moving to protect the hybrid system from over heating. This happened on 5 or more occasions all while driving down the street or highway causing me to lose control. When notifying the dealership they were aware of this issue and after 2 times bring it in and nearly $1000. The day after coming out of the shop and being fixed for the 2ns time, my car turned off driving down the freeway in rush hour traffic causing me to lose control and smashing into a vehicle at 50+ miles an hour. The other driver and self were injured and luckily not killed infiniti has yet to work with me or respond to this serious issue. I have found other infiniti hybrid owner this is happening to please contact if you also have had this issue. *dt

Differential would not allow the car to accelerate while making a right turn.this created a problem, particularly when trying to enter a freeway on ramp. Several times the car actually came to a complete stop.after many attempts to fix the problem, infiniti declared the car a lemon and has reimbursed us for the lease payments.however the dealer plans to buff the car and sell it as-is.

Vehicle has been having this issue since day 1. Spoke to other owners with the same issue. When slowing down from any speed, slightly or quickly, the car switches between ev mode and back. At all times the braking is odd. There are times where the car lunges forward when nearing a complete stop, other times the brakes seem to be letting go and grabbing again when slowing from a higher speed. I understanding this is the car switching between ev mode, regenerative braking, and transmission downshifting. But it is a major safety hazard as sometimes the braking can be very unpredictable. Sometimes i near a car standing still and brake (city driving), and seconds before coming to a complete stop the cars brakes let go for a second and grab again. Have experienced this on other hybrids, but nothing was as close to being as bad as the brakes are on this car. Pads are healthy, rotors have plenty of life left in them.
