I received a recall notice in october indicating that my vehicle is not safe and there is the possibility of metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. My families life and safety is in jeopardy. My vehicle is my primary mode of transportation and used for transportation to/from work and to transport my family.i have been patient, not allowing passengers in my front seat for months.it is now the end of february, over five months have passed and nothing has been done to correct the life threatening defect in my car. This is not acceptable! infiniti has disregarded the safety of my family by the lack of action taken in this matter.this will influence future purchasing decisions and the possibility of pursuing a class action law suit.

My 2007 infiniti m45 suddenly lost all electrical power throughout the vehicle resulting in the engine stalling which potentially could have resulted in a crash.the vehicle was immediately towed to passport infiniti of alexandria for diagnosis and repair.the diagnostic test revealed a failed intelligent power distribution module, ipdm which after in-depth research, has proven to be faulty in multiple nissan & infiniti vehicles ranging from years 2004 - 2006.there are current manufacture recalls on several nissan vehicles to replace faulty ipdm's and it is my belief that the m45 is affected likewise.currently, the vehicle is completely out of commission and slightly outside of any manufacture warranty coverage as it is a 2007 with approximately 80,000 miles.i have contacted infiniti consumer affairs in attempt to gain their acknowledgement and acceptance of full responsibility to cover repair cost without any success.i was informed by a case worker that there is no reported evidence of ipdm failure in the 2007 infiniti m45 and as a consumer i have to absorb all cost to get the vehicle repaired and returned back to full operational status.the preliminary dealer assessment suggests replacing the ipdm at a very expensive $1300.00 pricetag with a 12 month or 12k warranty.according to the dealer service manager, the cost could be more depending on possible other identified electrical issues that my have triggered the ipdm failure.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti m45. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart after numerous attempts. The driver side front seat mechanism has failed in my vehicle.this vehicle is equipped with six-way power adjustable seats.as i was driving the vehicle, the seat suddenly drop to the lowest position on the floor and will no longer raise or lower.as well, the seat now seats not to be properly anchored to the floor of the car.the right side of the seat belt is attached to the bottom of the seat rail and when i stop or put any tension on the seatbelt, i can feel the seat moving about.i am afraid to allow my son or my wife to drive this vehicle as it seems that the seat will not stay anchored to the floor in the event of an accident.
The seat started to slide forward upon breaking and slide backwards upon acceleration, this causes extra force to be applied to pedals because i am being slid into the pedals or away from the pedals.
River's seat collapsed and came off tracks while car was being driven. Defective welds (as stated by infiniti certified dealer service center) holding seat assembly determined to be cause. Infiniti diagnosis; seat track broken. Requiring replacement of front adjuster assembly; part # 87450-eh00a. Cost of part $~1000 to install; $~300. This is a nissan/infiniti problem reported previously to nhtsa on numerous occasions. Dealer service department stats that weld failure causes seat to collapse. Problem is longstanding, well documented, and known to infiniti. In spite of this, no remediation, other than repair at owner's expense, has been offered by infiniti. This weld failure is a serious safety related matter that is not the result of abuse, maintenance neglect, or overstress to seat or seat assembly. The has been acknowledged by repair personnel at dealership that carried out the repair.
The drivers side bottom metal seat bracket broke while in motion. The seat is now completely unsupported. The seat moves when brakes are applied.
Car requires constant steering correction on freeways.
Driving on roads with grooves in the pavement and car abruptly pulls to the left or right - depending on which way the grooves go.also happens on uneven roads.steering wheel makes a quick, hard pull making it difficult to control the vehicle.happens at any speed between 20 and 65 mph.new tires, new rims, new brakes have been installed but steering problem continues.the car tries to go where it wants.steering wheel turns slightly on its own while making a complete stop on any type of pavement.
I purchased a 2007 infiniti m45 sport and feel that i have an incredibly dangerous safety issue due to the steering and/or wheels and tires.the problem, known as "tramlining", is that on slightly uneven or lightly damaged roads the car's steering decides to aggressively follow a path that it chooses itself and if the driver has the slightest lapse in attention, the car will abruptly veer completely into a different lane or off the road."white-knuckled" driving has become all too familiar to me as a result.my vehicle has not been altered in any way.i have discussed this issue with many other owners who share the same complaint.thank you for your time.

I purchased the car new in 2007.it is extremely well maintained.i noticed about a year ago that the dashboard; especially the surfaces which face the front window, has developed a dangerous glaze.this glaze is very reflective and prevents proper viewing through the front windshield when light is on the dashboard; day or night.nissan needs to address this problem.
As the vehicle ages the dashboard melts. This melting leads to glare on sunny days and obscures vision. The shinny spots created in the dash distract from the road.
