"takata recall" airbag in steering wheel if deployed may contain shrapnel that can be fatal to operator of vehicle. Nothing has occurred, i was notified of a class action suite against takata.
This complaint is related to nhtsa recall 16v-349 for passenger side airbags. This recall was initiated in early summer of 2016 and i received a letter from infinity about the recall in august of 2016. I was given an original time frame of sept to oct 2016 for completion of repairs on my car. Now infinity is estimating it will be late nov. 2016 or later before parts are available. In the meantime i have a car where you can't use the front passenger seat. And since the possibility of injury or death is that great of a risk, how can anyone be safeon the passenger side of the car front or back. Allowing the manufacturer (infinity) to push these repairs out this long without due consideration and compensation to the customers is totally unreasonable. Why isn't nhtsa holding infinity more accountable in this matter?

In addition, the contact stated that the fuel tank nozzle continued to click off when the fuel tank was half full. Per the manufacturer, the contact received a warranty letter for the failure and a sticker. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. There three technical service bulletins in reference to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The passenger seat occupancy sensor (ocs) mat is not working properly (code b1018) and is causing the passenger side air bags to be turned off. Infiniti has quoted me $3,250 to correct the problem which requires the replacement of the entire front passenger lower seat assembly (1\2 of a seat for $3,250 !!!).after repeated attempts to infiniti usa, and the president of infiniti worldwide - roland krger, infinit has said no to providing me any financial assistance to correct this problem.along with the non functioning air bag, my well cared for car has rust forming on the header just above the windshield.i am writing to advise on the fault design and\or manufacture of the ocs and of infiniti's unwillingness to provide a reasonably priced repair.i will never buy another infiniti or nissan product again, and suggest you do not.

The passenger dashboard on my infiniti is cracking and infiniti will not warranty part. The crack is occurring over the passenger airbag and i am concerned for the safety and security of my family. Resolution has been unsuccessful and i feel that infiniti has sold me an inferior produce even if out of warranty. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that a belt in the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. Making right turn to park the car in a parking lot with foot on the brake throughout the turning process.as the turn was completed, vehicle surged forwardquickly and collided with a tree.the car was completely destroyed.it happened third time.first two times, the car accelerated when my foot was on the brake, but i could control it.the car was brought back to the dealer for check up and inspection.after checking the car, dealer found no problem and did not take any corrective action except for adjusting the idle time.updated 02/07/12

2008 infiniti m35 sport has a severe tramlining problem. Driving the car above 60 mph the steering becomes very unpredictable. The car likes to swerve left and right and rarely wants to travel in a straight line. Sometimes the car actually goes into the other lane. Car will not track straight for more than a second or two at highway speeds. Even more noticeable is at slower speeds (i.e. Coming to a stop) vehicles pulls very hard as though it has hit a large pothole. I am very disappointed.
My dashboard is cracked all over the seats are faded and the shocks and struts are bad at 120,000 miles
Defect in the seat heaters - infiniti refuses to correct problem, states it's normal, although when the car was bought, the noise wasn't present.in sitting in other cars, same model, same year, this noise isn't present.

The steering on the car pulls left or right when stopping depending on the road pitch. I took the car into infinity for service. The service man said nothings wrong all infiniti's do that. I am not happy with that because you can easily get into an accident if the car pulls into the other lane. This seems to me like some sort of defect in the steering or braking of the car.
I have a 2008 infiniti m35sport that i am having a safety issue with.the car pulls when braking if there is the slightest imperfection in the road.i have to hang on to the steering wheel to prevent it from traveling into the next lane, which at times is almost impossible.i have had infinitiinspect it many, many times since i purchased it but they decline to acknowledge the problem. I feel this is a serious safety issue and do not know where else to turn..i purchased the car in may 2008.
I just bought a used m35 infiniti 2008 and noticed after purchasing it that the steering wheel moves by itself usually 30 degrees or more either to the left and right. I brought it in and had them do an alignment on it and that didn't fix the problem. I have been reading online of other m35 users and they all have the same issue as i do. They said it is a defective part which causes tramlining? regardless or not my dealership has told me there's nothing they can do about the issue. I get worried driving my vehicle at high speeds because i don't know which direction my steering wheel is going to take me.
This car tends to drift/travel/trammel with road grooves/ruts/dips all the time. This is a common problem with this model. I've changed the tires a few times to try and resolve this issue and the same problem happens with all tire brands i've tried. I have never experienced this problem as prevalent with any other vehicle i've driven. I've taken it to two dealers and they both say it is common to this car. This is extremely dangerous.
My 2008 infiniti m35x while i am driving on high way will unexpectedly wonder left or right especially if i am changing lines wheeli have to hold steering wheel very tight to be able to control car otherwise icould cause accident . If i am driving in city, sometimes it goes straight then suddenly it will veer right or left . This is happening since i got car. I have taken it to the mechanic and verified the alignment was correct. I try new tires, mechanic replaced inner and outer tie rod nothing corrects the issue. I have found many many discussions on this issue and it appears a faulty rack and pinion but the company will not replace it unless you still have warranty left. This is a major safety issue and almost resulted in an accident many times.
I bought my 2008 infiniti m35x new in september of 2008. From the day i drove it away from the dealership i noticed that the steering was pulling erratically sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right. The angle of the road and rough road surfaces made it worse. Upon taking this to the dealer, they agreed to change the tires (from goodyear to michelin) that made it somewhat better but has not eliminated it.i have driven this car for 5 years like this, but now believe based on many blogs on the internet that this is a mechanical defect and infiniti should be fixing this.

2008infiniti m35 defective steering mechanism*cwthe consumer stated the defective steering mechanism caused the steering wheel to act in an uncontrollable manner without driver input. After five attempts of trying to convince the dealer there was a problem, they finally acknowledged a problem with the steering mechanism and attempted to fix it. However, the problem remained unsolved and the handling of the vehicle posed a serious problem.
The vehicle will randomly pull, or turn, to the right or the left even on level straight roads. It has almost pulled the wheel out of my hands completely, because of the force in which it turns. I contacted the dealer, and was informed that it is a performance vehicle and this is how they are supposed to handle. After owning a 1998 bmw m3 and a 2010 nissan maxima sv with sport package, i can say this is the only car that has handled like this. These are the same roads that i drove with both those previous vehicles so i can confidently say that this is not how a performance vehicle is supposed to handle. I just hope the issue can be resolved before something fatal occurs from this issue.

The steering wheel turned up to 130 degrees without driver input as the car slowed down before it came to a complete stop.the behavior occurred on a daily basis.during the first four times, the dealer denied the existence of any problem. The fifth time, the dealer acknowledged a problem with the steering mechanism and attempted to fix it. However, the problem remained unsolved.
Mechanic informed me that the steering rack is leaking. The car has 88k and has been maintained by the dealer. There is no reason this should fail this early.

The speed limit is 60-65 mph on the beltway, and for a car to be suddenly jerk out of the lane is a severe safety hazard.i glanced in my rearview and side mirrors, as my car was wildly drifting in and out of the lane to see if i was about to cause a major accident with the cars and tractor trailers that were close by.in my review mirrors i saw cars, and trucks braking, because i was swerving in and out of the lane erratically, similar characteristics of a drunk driver.i have never seen or experienced anything of the sort with a car in my life. This issue needs to be taken care of immediately, very dangerous and very frightening while driving.
Dashboard is shiny, sticky & gummy in a number of areas. The vehicle is one owner (owned by a retired person), has always been garage kept & does not sit outside in the elements. It has been meticulously maintained & the dash has never had any substances (i.e., protectants) applied. The local infiniti dealer's service department inspected the dash & stated that the material was breaking down & the dash needs to be replaced. A case was initiated with infiniti usa that resulted in the manufacturer declining to accept any responsibility due to the vehicle no longer being within the original warranty period. The repair has not yet been completed due to the high cost involved.

The vehicle was stationary.we have large holes and cracks in the sun roof.the glass looks as if it has been pushed upward.
When in sunlight or extreme heat the dashboard gets sticky and shiny. It appears as if it is melting. We filed a report with infiniti consumer affairs. We were told that it wasn't a problem associated with any parts from our vin number. The problem is getting worse and the glare on the windshield is a safety issue when driving.

2008 infiniti m35.consumer writes in regards to accelerator pedal sensor recall notice.the consumer stated the vehicle into limp mode, prior to taking it to the dealer. Afterwards, the exact same thing happened again. From a standing start, the vehicle would get up the speed, then it abruptly dropped down to a low speed crawl. Pressing the accelerator pedal the rest of the way the pedal moved all the way to the firewall without opposition or resistance the full distance just as it should until the pedal reached its maximum travel, but it made no difference in the engine power or speed of the vehicle. Both times after pulling out at an intersection on a high-speed road. The consumer referenced recall # 13v430000.

Yes....the entire dashboard is literally melting.....it's become sticky and super shiny. During the day (in bright sunshine), i can hardly see the road because of the reflection from the dashboard....trust me, it's that bad.when i searched this problem on the internet, i found that i am not the only one with this problem. There are literally thousands of reported melting dashboards. And, that's only the ones who have complained. I can imagine that there are tens of thousands who have this very same problemthank you for listening to me complainplease help.
