Takata recall - 16v-349.rcvd recall notice approx. Early august 2016 (letter not dated which is strange).i called dealer who said to call cons affairs because they were not made of anything related to parts.6 weeks has now passed and cons affairs told me it may be another 6 weeks or longer.their advice to me is to simply not let anyone ride in the passenger seat.for a few weeks, i can accommodate this but long term this is not an option.i need to have people sit in the front seat.i've never had such a horrible experience ... To this day i still do not know a timeline for when my car will get fixed and everyday that goes by where i can't have a front seat passenger costs me money.

Takata recall:received first recall notice july 2016. Contacted infiniti dealer in san antonio (210)824-1272 and was told parts would not come in until october 2016. My name and vin were placed on a "list". Called same dealer oct 2016, no parts yet. Called dealer again april 15, 2017 still no parts and told i will be called when parts come in (spoke with "mike").called dealer again june 7, 2017 and spoke with jorge - told that airbags came in but dealership has to wait for replacement dashes due to them "breaking" when removed to replace air bag. Jorge had no idea if or when they will get the parts. Called dealership again sept. 2017 and same song & dance. Not sure what i can do with this car now? worthless to trade in due to recall (seems immoral too) and a danger to my family????

Takata recall, my wife called the number and talked to someone at infiniti. But our car shuts off in traffic,,,by the grace of god, we narrowly escaped three/four different accidents. And as we were searching for the problem, we noticed a recall for that also. She asked about a loaner vehicle until the recall can be fixed. But to no avail. Im not sure of what to do, its a very bad situation when your car just shuts off, the steering wheel locks and you began a slow coast in moving traffic. And i feel we shouldn't have to miss work, kids miss practice, and just sit home until the problem is fixed. We have no other vehicle , and terrified to drive this one,,, the recall says " do not allow passengers to ride in the passenger seat"......and it also shifts down,, im not sure how the infiniti loaner program works, bit i decided to write this site because it is at the bottom of the safety recall notice we received.

Takata recallvehicle purchased around 2009 in florida. Airbag safety indicator light flashing sometime around early 2015. Took vehicle for safety inspection and was told that upon deployment of the air bag, excessive internal pressure is likely to cause inflator to rupture. Contacted manufacturer for coverage under recall, nissan / infiniti refused to replace the airbag under recall, despite possibility that, in the event of a crash involving deployment of the air bag, inflator is likely to rupture with peices of metal projected into the vehicle occupants and potentially resulting in serious injury or death. I would like the manufacturer to cover this safety concern for my vehicle under recall # 15v226000, recall # 14v701000 or any other related recalls. Please note that the march 1, 2015 date of occurrence is approximate.

On november 09, 2011 we were involved in a four vehicle crash. We were driving northbound on the highway when a vehicle driving at least at 70 mph struck us from behind, causing our vehicle to impact another vehicle in the front. My vehicle was a declared a total loss, none of the airbags in my vehicle deployed with the impacts. Due to airbag failure my husband and i received severe injuries.

Takata recall.received notification in july 2016.now 8 months later, we have no further communication from infiniti when thiswill be repaired and the dealers do not know, either.infiniti's solution is to do an interim repair that disables the passenger side airbag- not really "a fix".can we get an update from infiniti when they expect to be able to repair this problem?

Takata recallinfiniti has failed to fix/replace the air bags as part of the recall. It has been ~6 months, with no resolution.

Takata recall....i was notified in september of 2016 that the passenger air bag was defective and i should not allow the seat be occupied.i have repeatedly call infinity requesting my vehicle be repaired.it is now january 2017.i feel infinity's poor handling of this recall has created an undo burden on the recall vehicle owners.please look into the poor execution of this recall.infinity offered a rental thru the local dealer but when i contacted the dealer and left a message it was not returned, i believe the dealersdo not want to be involved in the rental program, because my original dealer does not offer any temporary fixes infinity speaks of.

Infiniti claims that they don't want me to have a passenger ride with me until the parts are received to fix it this fall, but that is not an option.i feel they should provide an alternative vehicle until the vehicle is fixed.

Takata recall.i received a letter from infiniti that my vehicle was under recall # 16v-349 in sept 2016 and that i would be contacted when parts were in.i have heard nothing in 6 months and i am driving an unsafe vehicle or i must not drive it at all. This is totally unacceptable and i am asking for nhtsa assistance to get the airbag replaced.

The airbag did not deploy in 2 collisions. Fortunately i had a secured seat belt fastened.

Takata recall.infiniti is not working with us in getting the recall work done.i live over 400 miles away from the nearest dealership and infiniti is having us pay to either, get a rental car or pay for a hotel room.of which i cannot afford either.i do not feel safe driving it until the recall is done.

Airbag inflator on passenger side was recalled may 2016. Part is still not available.

I purchased the 2006 infiniti m35 from approval one, laplace, la on 3/16/2012 . I was not shown a carfax report. It was financed by asi federal credit union for $16,000. The car would stop in the middle of traffic. I received a recall notice on the car sensor and brought the car in per letter. I was then told that the camshaft sensor was the problem and not related to the recall. The transmission began to have problems shifting gearsand i brought the car into ray brant infiniti and was told a part on the transmission was the problem. That would cost me $2,300.00. I decided to trade in the car on 8/2/2014 and was given a carfax report showing structural damage, airbag deployed, and the car had been in an accident. I was told by several dealers that no one would take the car relating to the damage. I reported to asi federal credit union.as a result, i have a car not fitted to be on the highwaytransporting my family in and am responsible for paying $16,000.00 this car should not be on the highway.

I am trying to get a definitive answer on my vehicle's airbags. I have been unable to determine if my vehicle was assembled using the recalled takata inflators. I have contacted nissan consumer affairs on several occasions and i have been given conflicting information. When i enter the vin of my vehicle on the nhtsa website it does not return a "hit" for a recall. However; on more than one occasion i was advised by nissan consumer affairs that the recall was only applicable to vehicles in high humidity areas and they listed the affected states and geographic areas. Maryland was not on that list. My understanding is that the recall was expanded to include all geographic areas but i have not been able to obtain a definitive answer if my vehicle is now part of the recall. Nissan claims it cannot determine if my vehicle was assembled using takata airbag systems yet it says that my vin is not affected. Given the high degree of risk of driving a vehicle with defective airbags i must have an accurate assessment if takata airbags/inflators are in my vehicle. I have asked nissan if they can inspect the vehicle to make this determination but they have refused unless and until i have a problem with the airbags. The obvious problem with this position is that an airbag defect could be fatal. I am counting on your agency to assist me with this issue. Thank you

Takata recall airbag replacement has not been done after almost 9 months since being notified. It severely limits use of my car since the front passenger seat can't be occupied.

Recall work done on 01/08/2014 at internation infiniti waukesha, wi dealership. 01/09/14 faint burning smell noticed, again on 01/11/2014 faint burning smell notcied. Then on 01/14/2014 lots of dashlights like abs, cruise control, vdc, slip, brake lights all flashing on/off while speedometer flipping up & down from speed car going to zero, nothing in between. Brought car back to dealership 01/15/2014 with appt made on 01/14/2014 and they looked at car for 4 hours and could not definitely say exactly what was wrong but said that i should have wiring harness replaced at cost of $2200.00, without proof that it was definitely the problem & that they didn't cause this problem since i had problems with the car the very next day after they worked on it.

These defective parks keeps making the idle jump and sometimes stall. I keep replacing them to see if they are bad but will not clear the check engine light.

Dt*:the contact stated the ignition was designed with a keyless push button starter and upon exiting the vehicle there was no alarm to remind the occupants to depress the button to turn off the engine.the dealer and manufacturer were alerted. Updated 10/25/2006 - the consumer has inadvertently lock the vehicle and left it running twice.

2006 m35 developed problems with the ignition and the battery.*mr the vehicle failed to start on numerous occasions.

I brought my car inside to vacume it out on a cold day .i closed all the doors and both passenger side doors never opened again.the dealer said it needed actuators for around $1,500.00 plus the cost of new door panels because they cant get the doors open.i went through this last winter with the right front door.

While driving on a freeway at low rate of speed (rush hour) i have experienced engine stall condition.all warning lights went on,including brake indicator. I was able to shift gear into park position and shut the vehicle down. After a couple minutes, i restarted the engine and drived home.that was one scary moment.

Navigation system screen flickers when reverse is engaged.bluetooth phone interface has not been working properly, module replaced with no improvement.horrible gas mileage (as low as 8.5 mpg).loud metallic "gong" noise can be heard when vehicle is stopped.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure recurred. About a month ago, i was driving my car home from the store and the engine stalled as i was about to pull into the parking space.i thought the battery was dead, so i called a family member to give me a jump.the car started back up and drove fine for about two days.then it happened again, i was on my way home from picking the kids up from school and the engine stalled again, right in the middle of the highway.the car would still be on but it would not move at all.after turning the car off and waiting for a few minutes, the car started back up.i had it towed to aaa car care center, where they determined that i may need to have the camshaft and crankshaft sensors replaced.however, after doing some research online and reading countless complaints and forum posts from people who were having the same problem, i decided not to pay the $751.i read many posts from other infiniti owners whose car would cut off while being operated, who paid tons of money to get their sensors replaced, only to have the same problem return.i drove my car home from aaa but not without incident.the car cut off in the middle of the interstate with my six year old daughter in the backseat.very dangerous.after waiting for a few minutes, i was able to start the car again and drive the rest of the way home.i took the car to a local auto zone to check the battery and it was fine.a few days later, i had the car towed to the nissan dealership to have my airbag replaced due to the recent (takata) airbag recall.while there, i had them do a diagnostic on the car.they found a bunch of codes, but could not tell me what the problem is with my car.i am terrified to drive the carfor fear of getting into an accident.i don't know if the engine is going to stall on the interstate while i'm driving at 60 mph.this is obviously a common problem among infiniti owners.

Driving on my city road at 45 mph my infiniti m35 instantly went from normal rpms to 0, brakes locking and steering as well. I was able to pull off into a company parking lot to turn my infiniti off after getting it immediately in park. I tried to restart my car and almost five days of trying and having it towed home, i am still unable to get my car to restart. All of the interior lights from slip, brake, service enginne, the battery, etc continue to stay on. The car will try to crank but won't turn over. I have tried replacing the key fob batteries, put new oil, all new gas, 2 new batteries, multiple jumps, checked all fuses, and still nothing. The brakes are still hard to press on and locked since the idling and they won't even hardly move as i try starting the ignition. After a few tries of trying to crank all the lights stay on then loses all power again.

It's simple my fans are not working at all when i turn my a.c. On my car runs hot when i cut it of the temperature comes down as i drive but today my car went so hot that my car turned off and i don't know what is causing my fans to not work please help i can't get to work at all.

My pcm(power/engine control module, more than $700) has a problem, it shut down the fan randomly. The engine becomes too hot to drive. I parked it around 4 hours to cool down.ac is also not working because of the pcm. It blows hot air inside the car. There is news about the pcm recall, but it doesn't show up in the system. Why?https://www.torquenews.com/1080/nissan-issues-recall-infiniti-m35-m45-electrical-issue

Today i was driving my vehicle and the low fuel light came on but the fuel guage showed it still had half a tank, so i went to the gas station and filled it up on when i turned on the car i seen that the fuel gauge its not working, another thing is where it shows what gear your on it seems to be broken like the little screen is broken fromin side its hard to explainill post somepictures so you can see what i mean. Also the (afs) on the front left headlight does not work the beam stay's all the way down pointing the ground not staright ahead so i could see clearly whats in front of me. This has occured on the left side head light the right side its working fine.on the first picture you could see the fuel gauge position and om the second picture i took of the navigaton screen where it shows the miles left that i could drive the gauge should be more than half ways.on the 3 picture is where i was saying about the gear screen thats broken from inside, it looks like a tier or somthing.on the fourth picture you could see that the left beamin pointing down instead of staright like the right beam is ive tried adjusting it and even took it to my mechanic to adjust them but it still stays the same.

Crusing at about 75mph on a busy freeway , my cars rpm bounced up then dropped down to 0 , the car became stiff and turned off. I had to cross 3 lanes at about 20 mph and pull over on the shoulder. The car would not turn on until about 30 mins later , i had to drive home with no power steering. I later find out it was an error in the ecm and it is an electrical issue

On march 9th, 2015 my 2006 infiniti m35 stalled while i was driving it and wouldn't start again. I checked the fuses and battery and couldn't find any issues so i had it towed to the local infiniti dealer. Initially the dealer told me that the ecm (brain) needed to be replaced and, after a fair amount of pressure from me to stand behind their product, the nissan factory agreed to cover the ecm replacement (~$2200). On april 9th, 2015 they informed me my car was "fixed and ready" however when driving home it stalled on the freeway (while going ~70mph with my kids in the car with me) and again, it wouldn't start. I had it towed back to the dealer and paid for an advanced diagnostic ($420) at which time they discovered "melted and shorting" wires between the power distribution unit (pdu) and the fuse box... On april 22nd, 2015 they replaced these wires (they never actually diagnosed the cause of the melted shorting wires) and they again told me my car was "fixed and ready"... Yet again, while driving home the car stalled on the freeway and wouldn't start. I had it towed back to the dealer again and they called in an advanced factory technician who determined that the main wiring harness and another wiring harness needed to be replaced and they're quoting me an outrageous amount for the repair ($8400). The car currently shows a ~$10.5k value on kelley blue book...

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle lost power and stalled at highway speeds of 55 mph without warning on two occasions. After both incidents the vehicle was driven away from the sight slowly and taken to a service dealer.after the first incident the dealership replaced the throttle body. When the vehicle was returned to the dealer after the second occurrence, the dealer was able to duplicate the problem.the dealer replaced the wiring harness. Updated 06/16/06.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the vehicle was over heating without warning. The contact mentioned that the failure was progressing. The contact later received notification for nhtsa campaign number: 13v430000 (vehicle speed control) and the dealer indicated that they replaced the accelerator pedal assembly but did not reprogram the engine control module. However, the dealer indicated on the invoice that they replaced the fan control module and a diagnosis for the vehicle over heating was not provided. The contact mentioned that the failure continued to occur. . the vehicle was to be taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. While driving approximately 65 mph, the letter "h" for "hot" appeared on the instrument panel and the vehicle jerked. Afterwards, the vehicle decelerated to 15 mph. The contact drove the vehicle to a nearby fuel station. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed (water pump, radiator, reservoir, etc), but the source of the failure could not be determined. All of the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel when a diagnostic scanner was used. The specific diagnostic trouble code was unknown. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 184,000.

These defective parks keeps making the idle jump and sometimes stall. I keep replacing them to see if they are bad but will not clear the check engine light.

On separate occasions for two days in a row i attempted to accelerate from a stopped position. I had no throttle control and the vehicle crept forward at idle speed until i was able to pull out of the flow of traffic safely. There was a recall a couple of years ago regarding this same issue and i had my vehicle repaired under the recall. Apparently this issue persists. An engine code was set as evidenced by the "service engine soon" display. I have not had the opportunity to investigate this code.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. While driving various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly shut off. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 155,695.

When driving and coming to a stop at (30-35 mph) you would hear a loud "clunk", and the engine would stop. You have no control of the steering and no brakes. We experienced this infinity defect 7-8 times over a 90 day period. First incident 9-14-13.note- received recall letter (13v-430) from infinity 11-04-13. Made service apt with nalley infinity, marietta, ga. To perform work related to recall letter. I was reimbursed for repairs made on 9-14-13. However, on 12-26-13 while driving in jacksonville, fla. The same problem occurred, and repeated itself 3-4 times that evening before i could reach the infinity of orange pk. Fla. On 12-27-13. Infinity of orange pk. Made the repairs... The cost to me for this repair was $561. This itemized bill was sent to infinity consumer affairs in franklin, tn, and they refused reimbursement. Stating that they could only reimburse for one occurrence. This inifinity incident was very dangerous, freighting and scary when it happens. We are fortunate... There was no accident, but it has destroyed our confidence in the infinity auto, infinity service and all infinity products.

My car just shuts off while driving and i was on a city street.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle restarted and resumed normally. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.

It's simple my fans are not working at all when i turn my a.c. On my car runs hot when i cut it of the temperature comes down as i drive but today my car went so hot that my car turned off and i don't know what is causing my fans to not work please help i can't get to work at all.

Takata recall,i just purchased it,was pre owned.

Took car to infiniti of santa monica, ca for routine 30,000 mile service.they returned car to me with a ticking/ knocking noise coming from engine.they told me it was from the fuel injector cleaner they added to my car.took car back to them 3 times in one day and finally refused to leave until they repaired it.they say ineed a new engine due to a manufacture defect.i never heard the knock in 30,000 miles, i never heard the knock until i drove out of infiniti of santa monica, ca. Car only has 30,000 miles on it.

I was driving my 2006 infiniti m35x home sunday night and it began to stall on me while driving. The car wouldn't accelerate and the brakes locked on me. I was on the freeway going about 70mph when this happened. The steering wheel wouldn't turn anymore and i began to panic as another speedy vehicle would potentially rear end me and maybe even kill me. I put my emergency lights on and called for help. My fuel gauge read about a half tank full of gasoline. I had a friend bring me gas to see if that was why this car wouldn't start anymore and unfortunately it was the problem. The fuel gauge was not working properly and i could of got myself killed in a big accident that way. Idk what to do! the warranty is not valid anymore and i do not have money to fix this issue. Please help!

2006 m35 infiniti m35.consumer writes in regards to the mass air flow sensor problems.the consumer stated over the past 18 months, the same part was replaced 3 times. The mass air flow sensor ranged from 1,000-1,300 each time. The vehicle would stall in the middle of the road.

The navigation (map) screen turns off when a phone call is placed or received. Infiniti went to great lengths to create a system that allows for both hands free navigation and phone use. However some ridiculous reason they opted to replace the map screen with a screen that tells you your on the phone. This requires one to get lost if following the navigation or pull off to the side of the road until your off the phone. As far as i know this problem still exists in the 2009 model as well.

On july, 22, 2009, my 2006 infiniti m35x accelerated out of control.i had parked the car and it took off , went through a metal fence, through some bushes and pulled a pole from the ground.the pole lodged at the bottom of the car and stopped the car which had not responded to the brakes.i was close to a brick building and would have been seriously injured or killed (according to the police) if the car had kept on going. A policemen who came to my rescue was convinced that i had accelerated instead of braking and wrote that in his police report.with what is happening with toyota, i feel vindicated because others have had the same reaction from the police.when their cars have gone out of control.i notified infiniti of the accident and they were willing to send someone to look at the car, but they insisted on the police report.of course, the report put all the responsibility with me and i didn't fight it until i started hearing from victims of the toyota debacle.it never came to pass, as someone was willing to buy my damaged car and i was happy to get rid of it, as i never would have felt comfortable driving it again.several months later, i started to hear about toyota's problems and it struck a chord. I think the infinitis need to check their cars and it remains to be seen if this problem has happened to other infiniti drivers.other people who had driven my car were not comfortable with it, their criticism being that it was too peppy and hard to control. I did not repair the car, but used the insurance and the sale amount toward buying a new car.

Driving onto ramp to get on highway and seat bracket broke and sunk me back. Lost control momentarily.

My infinity m35x 2006 is equipped with cruse control that will automatically maintain the follow distance from the vehicle ahead.if i am using cruse control at a high speed and approach a slow moving vehicle the system will automatically apply the brakes.the deceleration can be very fast and sudden, it often exceeds -5mph per second.the design defect is that the system does not light the brake lights.if i use cruse control to follow in heavy traffic, the system moves from the throttle to the brakes and back again and the brake lights do not light.if somebody was to strike my car in the tail, he might claim my brake lights did not work. The investigator would test my brake lights, he and the other driver would see that they do work.i don't think anybody would think that brake light operation might be conditional on how the car is controlled.i believe the cruse control in my vehicle to be a hazard.i recognize that my car is 10 years old and they probable do not make the same design any more.but do newer designs have the same design defect?it may require additional hardware and money to correct this, therefor it may not be corrected in newer designs and other brands.note: i have not been in a traffic incident related to this defect.

Dt:the contact states there was a problem with the headlights.the beam from the lights will show the road for no more than ten to fifteen feet in front of the vehicle.this is because of the computer leveling system positioning the light beam closer to the vehicle than necessary.he feels that under normal driving conditions braking distances would exceed the amount of lighted area.when he contacted the manufacturer, they said that the lights were designed to do this.updated 11/29/2005 -updated 01/11/06.

There is a horizontal band of blackness between the area illuminated by the low beam headlights and the highbeam headlights.this creates a blind spot and a serious potential hazard when driving at night.the high beamhead lights appear to be aimed very high; they illuminate the mid and upper sections of trees very well but not the road in front of the vehicle.i returned the car to the dealer who indicated the headlights were properly aimed.furthermore the dealer indicated that the high beams cannot be aimed independent of the low beams.i was referred to infiniti's regional representative.this individual confirmed that there is no separate adjustment for high and low beams.he also indicated his belief that the dealer had properly evaluated my problem.(how he would know this escapes me)as a result i continue to have a vehicle with this hazardous defect putting my safety and that of others in jeopardy.

Driving north on i95 near fayetteville, cruising at 75 mph, had to accelerate suddenly to get into left lane ahead of other traffic, and make room for on-ramp car entering highway. When i floored the accelerator, my car engine stopped immediately, and i had to coast to a stop on the shoulder.i was able to call a tow truck, who delivered me to a local auto repair shop. The shop manager informed me of the failure as determined by the electronic analysis. Since he had to order parts, he had to take me and my family to a car rental company. After about 5 days, the car was ready for pickup. The repair cost was $939.42, the rental cost was $174.18, and i drove about 210 extra miles making gas cost about $30. At the time, i assumed this was an unusual but isolated product failure. Now, i see nhtsa recall 13v-430 and believe that my situation was due to this faulty part.i would like reimbursement, and also a review of my car's system as repaired to replace parts further as necessary.

My 2006 infintii m35 front drivers side door is locked shut, cant get it open. Infiniti says its an actuator and it'll cost anywhere from 500 to 600....from what im learning, this is a huge issues that infiniti must recall!

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the front driver side door would lock and fail to unlock without warning. The dealer diagnosed that the actuator failed and needed to be replaced. The contact had to disassemble the door and replace the actuator. The front driver side door was repaired. The failure recurred on the front and rear passenger side doors. The contact was unable to unlock the doors. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000. Updated 04/26/16*ljupdated 11/21/2017

Infiniti m35 transmission failed to engage in reverse when car reached normal running temp. Only option suggested by infiniti dealership was to replace transmission.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the check engine indicator was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the valve needed to be replaced on the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired and spontaneously caught on fire while parked at home the following day. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not send anyone to inspect the vehicle. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 143,000.

Driving onto ramp to get on highway and seat bracket broke and sunk me back. Lost control momentarily.

Safety equipment failure - during highway driving with 205lb driver, the driver's seat frame failed and fell approx. 1/2 inch in left rear of seat.upon inspection, applying minimal side pressure to the driver's seat back in the direction of the passenger will lift left rear of seat approx. 2 inches and flex the seat laterally.applying pressure therear of the headrest toward the front of vehicle will raise entire seat approximately 4 inches at the rear.a frontal accident will cause the weight of the seat to be transmitted into the body of the driver and increase seat belt loads as well as nullify head restraint protections.in the worst case, the front seat bolts may also fail due to this know nissan seat frame weld problem resulting in the driver's seat detaching from the vehicle.upon consultation with an infinity dealership over the telephone, the service rep. Immediately identified the problem as a failure in a seat frame weld.the replacement part # 87450eh00a costs $759.99 and labor $212.50. The rep. Indicated multiple infinity's had been repaired with this problem.infinity parts department also indicated this was a known failure in a seat weld and they keep the part regularly stocked for repair.also see pe08065the 2006 nissan murano has similar failures.enclosed are similar m35 and murano seat failures.odi id number : 10243332odi id number : 10452830odi id number : 10466301odi id number : 10480060odi id number : 10434271odi id number : 10432735odi id number : 10424657odi id number : 10402453odi id number : 10382566odi id number : 10296221odi id number : 10480152odi id number : 10479311odi id number : 10477742odi id number : 10475191odi id number : 10475187odi id number : 10475041odi id number : 10473627..and atleast 50 additional odi's for 2006 nissan murano are available.

I just bought this car and when i took it out to drive the driver seat was sitting all the way to the floor so i tried raising the seat and noticed it wading moving so i got out to look while trying to raise it and noticed metal trying to come through the leather i don't know what's going on and i hope this doesn't cost me a lot of money to fix.

After parking my car (2006 infiniti m35x) i went to unbuckle my seat belt and to open the door, my seat reclined without pressing it to and therear of my driver seat fell back to the floor board. I don't why it fell for i only weight 172 lbs exactly. So i'm not the heaviest. I would of been scared if it fell while i was driving because i don't know how i would of reacted to the failure of my seat can clearly lead to an accident from that. An i research and see that it just happens and no reason except of yea seating on your seat over and over, but i don't think that's enough to do what it did. Then the dealership wanna over charge you up to $1500 to fix something that should of never happen. I'm not the only person that think that. It should be an recall on this because a lot people don't look into recalls, i'm now posting after talking to someone and saying it happen to their friend and say that it online other people had the same problem, so it can be way more complaints about seat failures that may lead to injuries and maybe deaths because luckily my seat fell when i park. With all these different safety features this car "have" get subtracted by the seat collapsing out of no where.

My wife came home from work and informed me that her seat was leaning to the right. I took a look at the seat, and took it to the dealer the next day, i was informed that it was out of warranty and would be my responsibility to have it repaired.after a few attempts to work a deal out with he dealer, i was told by one of the employees that i was not the only one have this problem.once again the dealer refused to help.

While driving on highway felt the rear of driver seat slide into center console. Attempted to readjust seat at which time it kept sliding to console. When checking for problem, entire rear of seat was lifted and the power seat up/down not functioning. Major safety issue.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35.the contact stated that the driver side seat hinge separated from the socket and the upper part of the seat fell back and could not be reclined forward.the dealer was notified, but denied any assistance with repairs to the defect.the manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage was 95,000. The vin was unavailable.

Experienced issue with driver's seat leaning towards center console.not sure when the seat began leaning; however, after i saw the issue - a few days later the seat began to block the center console from opening.i took the car to the dealer.i was informed that the seat track was broken and the cost to repair was about $1400.i was also told that there was one other car that was recently brought in for the same issue.my seat makes popping noises when i attempt to move it closer to the steering wheel and shifts forward when braking.i also notice from the back of the seat that the plastic that protects the seat hardware is pushing inward toward the carpet on the seat.

As i was driving, the left side support under my driver seat broke. I began to fall backwards but was able to catch myself because i was traveling at such a slow speed. Two days later, i took my car into my dealership expecting that they would repair this giant safety issue with no charge to me. They told me i needed a whole new seat and the cost would be $1400. I responded by saying it should be free to fix, but i would pay up to $500 if they were to fix it and offer me a lifetime warranty on both the driver and passenger seat. They refused and we are now at a stalemate.

My first problem is the brake pedal broke for no reason. The dealer informed me a new one would be at a cost to me at over 350.00$. My second problem is a seat weld broke, i have not gone in for that problem yet but i'm sure it will be at a cost time as well.

The issue is within my 2006 infiniti m35x driver's side seat.i was in the process of making a right turn after sitting at a traffic light.when i did, the driver's side seat went left and back and i was thrown against the driver's door.there has been movement in my driver's seat when braking.it would move a couple of inches forward instead of staying in place.the dealership has estimated that it is going to cost $900 to replace the slide lift assembly.

The driver's seat slides forward when braking and backward when accelerating. The seat will also rock back and forth. This is happens all the time and at any speed.

Drivers side seat was raising and lowering on only 1 side. I got into the car this morning and heard a popping noise. I noticed that the back of the seat would not raise up. I can physically push the seat forward from the back and the rear of the seat rises up and is not attached to anything.

I was driving my driver seat bracket broke an i almost killed myself.

Driving on the highway last week, i felt the need to adjust my seat a little bit. I tried to lift the seat up and i head a pop sound and i immediately sunk into the seat and unable to see the hood of the car but the dash. I managed to find the nearest exit and realized the motor to lift the seat was only lifting one side of the seat. I could lift it with my hand but falls on the floor when i let it go. Lucky no car was in front or closely behind me. I tried to get it fixed and i have an invoice for over $1000. That is not fair.

Hi, i bought not to long ago this vehicle and everything was fine. However recently the bottom of the seat broke, there is a little arm that attaches to the bar at the back that is not attached. I was driving and the seat suddenly dropped and i could have had a serious accident. There are quite a number of reports like this online of other people with this issue and i want to know if there is some sort of recall. Infiniti is a reputable car but this workmanship is terrible. Thanks for your time.i only weight 170lbs so i am sure that is not the issue.

Under moderate braking the driver seat broke loose and slid forward a few inches which affected my ability to safely and effectively brake the vehicle. The dealer informed me that they are very familiar with this problem and that this is caused by defective welds on the seat assembly for which no recall has ever been issued, despite a sizeable number of affected vehicles. To replace the broken seat assembly is roughly $1300 for parts and labor. This is a huge safety issue as the seat doesn't stay in place and could easily cause an accident.

While driving the vehicle, i was turning left and the driver seat all of a sudden just collapsed; feeling like the entire seat broke/fell apart.i was able to maintain control of the vehicle and luckily no other car was coming my way when this happened.i was able to continue driving but having to sit upwards all the way home losing several inches of viewing (barely looking at/over the steering wheel).i got home to check out seat and determined the seat collapsed to the floor and can't be raised; the seat is uneven too.you can now push the back of the front driver seat upwards at least 10 inches off the ground.researched the issue to see what happened and determined this is a common safety issue with infiniti driver seats where the back bar weld breaks preventing the seat from being raised and now remains uneven.this is definitely a safety issue as a possible rear end collision/impact will cause catastrophic injuries (possibly death) since you will be forced upwards into the seat beat area; not how the seat and seat belt were designed to restrain the driver of the vehicle.i have never experienced this issue with a seat in my lifetime.i am shocked this issue is recurring with infiniti, yet no recall on this issue.i am officially reporting this issue and i did take to the infiniti dealer who didn't offer any assistance with fixing the issue, only to order new replacement parts for their defective seat.i declined the $2,122.43 repair for this broken seat weld.if nhtsa thinks this isn't a safety issue; since no recall, i will continue to drive this vehicle and advise my personal attorneys of such so in the event any bodily injury occurs, i will have recourse.

Not exactly sure when the driver's seat broke, but it was leaning into the center console and i felt i was not centered on the steering wheel. About a week or so after noticing this, i was taking my daughter to daycare when the seat support on the left side broke with a loud bang and the seat collapsed to the floor. I swerved into the oncoming lane and fortunately nothing was coming at the time. The seat no longer goes up and down and can be lifted up and down by hand. I contacted infiniti usa. They instructed me to take the car to a dealer to determine the problem. The dealer charged $110 to tell me the seat track would need replacing at a cost of approximately $1450. I again contacted infiniti usa and they informed me they would not be offering any assistance.

Driver seat suddenly fell down and toward the left. This happened as i entered the car while it was parked. Now the seat sits low to the floor and tilted to the side. Seat can be easily moved side to side by hand. Seat lift system seems non functional.

Weld broke on the driver side seat that now allows the seat to lift up. This happened in 2015. The seat will also no longer move forward.(2020) this model does not have replacement gear which means the whole seat assembly needs to be replaced since it contains the rail track. My wife is much shorter than i am and can no longer drive the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that when applying the brakes, the driver's seat would erroneously move forward. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 109,000.

While driving on the highway i heard a pop and felt the seat give out and start to fall down. I pulled over and could not get the seat to go back to the correct position. Upon inspection i noticed that the seat frame is broken and could see the part sticking up from where the bottom seat connects to the rear back part of the seat. I almost had me crash into the construction barrels on the side of the road lucky it was a sunday and no one was working.

As i drove on the highway and adjusted my driver's seat upwards, i heard something pop and it sunk down completely. From that moment on i had to raise myself up to be able to look over the dashboard. My sight is definitely impaired and makes driving unsafe. I also found that this is a real hazard in case of an accident. Since the chair is now detached.the estimate to fix this is around $1100. This is definitely a manufacturer's defect and dangerous. I think this should be under a recall because of the danger when in an accident.

While driving the vehicle, the driver seat suddenly and without warning, fell to the floor. I bought the vehicle to a mechanic and he said the railing gave way and broke. I checked online and this problem seems typical. I purchase this vehicle new. The vehicle currently only has about 86000 miles. Why is there not a recall.

Ever since the purchase of 00the vehicle, the driver seat slides forward 3 to 4 inches when braking when traveling forward, every time. This has caused the driver's feet to slip off the brake pedal, releasing the brake and almost colliding with other vehicles or objects ahead.

The dashboard is cracking the driver seat bind with center console passenger air bag malfunction

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the driver's seat was turned towards the right and the right back side of the seat was twisted. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 83,000. *consumer stated two days after i filed my complaint with nhsta, the other side of the drivers seat frame broke. Luckily i had just sat down in the drivers seat. If i was driving when this occureed i could have been involved in an accident. When the seat frame suddenly broke this would have put me into a bad position if the airbag deployed that could have caused further injury. I purchased a new seat frame with motors for my car from the infiniti dealer and had the seat repaired by the valley upholstery shop. See attached parts and repair receipts. Updated 11/01/18

Seat moorings unexpectedly gave way during braking.

The bolt under the drivers seat that secures the seat to the floor of the car snapped so that now my seat is no longer securely bolted down.the seat cannot be adjusted.

Weld broke that support the device that raise the seat, cause the seat to move into dash while driving and braking.

I share the vehicle with my wife who is about a foot shorter than i am- as i'm adjusting the seat back and lowering it- the entire seat just dropped down- i stepped out of the vehicle and tried to adjust the seat and the motor would only make noise- after looking into it i realized the entire seat was broken off the track and i can physically pick the entire chair up off the ground from the back. Front is still secured somewhat but still very unsafe to drive. Car is parked in a driveway- nissan motors should be held responsible for designing an unsafe item.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35.the contact stated that the brackets holding the front driver's side seat fractured. The contact took the vehicle to a body repair shop and was told that the assy bracket, back frame and seat tracks would have to be replaced. The contact spoke with the dealer and was told that the seat was not under warranty or recall. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage and current mileages were unknown.

The bracket of the driver's seat broke. The seat moves substantially when braking and accelerating. It has become very dangerous to drive this vehicle and the cost to repair it is over $1k.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that while a passenger was adjusting the passenger's seat, it became detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was confirmed that the seat assembly failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the issue. The failure and current mileages were 104,000.

The drivers seat broke off and fell to the floor while driving i lost control of the vehicle. The broken seat weld makes the seat lift out of the car.

Seat frame failed, causing seat to fall down and to the left. Dealer and manufacturer have not been notified because multiple online comments indicate that infiniti does not recognize seat failure as a safety hazard despite clear pattern of failures in 2006 m35s at relatively low mileage.

The drivers seat base broke loose from the metal lever that adjusts the height off the floor and the seat tilted sharply left. The seat cannot be adjusted level and the car cannot be driven with the broken seat position. This occurred twice already in this vehicle. Infiniti refuses to provide any remedy other than replacing the seat at huge expense to me. An examination of the seat shows no abuse or special circumstances. The connection is made with a weak weld that cannot withstand normal use. Action should be taken to require infiniti to remedy this issue at their expense.

While driving home from work and in a posted 25 mph speed zone the drivers side seat without warning collapsed falling to the floorboard. Fortunately i was traveling at a low speed due to being in a high pedestrian area. I got my car stopped, exited the car and immediately could see that the seat had collapsed and fallen onto the floorboard. I immediately called the inifiniti dealership that was less than two miles away. The service tech advised he felt the seat had fell of the rails. I was provided with a car, after opening the next morning the service tech called me and advised the seat frame, mounting hardware had broke. I was advised my ex-warranty did not cover the parts and or repairs. The cost would be $1325.00 to fix, i followed up with several other car dealerships including 2 out of town infiniti dealerships. I was advised by well qualified service gm's that a seven year old car of any type should never have this type issue and especially a infiniti make type car. One infiniti manager at a out of town location did advise after checking service data that my make and model has a history of these type issues. He and other service techs stated they did not know how infiniti was avoiding a nhtsa recall, especially since it was a safety issue with the drivers side seat and could and should have caused numerous wrecks. My dealership was aware of the issue, even after talking to the service gm they only discounted $300.00 leaving my out of pocket expense paid $1,025.00 i work with several judges and attorney's, some who are very knowledgeable in the field of vehicle safety, recalls and car maker obligations. I am proceeding with official complaints to the infiniti corp, bbb, nhtsa.i have learned infiniti could and should have did the repairs. This was my first and last infiniti make vehicle, very poor product support. My weight is 185 so this is absolutely no issue.

I was driving my 2006 infiniti m35 on the highway at about 55-60 miles an hour when all of a sudden the drivers seat fell back off of its frame almost causing me to lose control of the car which could have been a serious accident. I took the car to the dealer and they explained to me that the seats are welded to the frame not bolted and the weld broke lose. They said because my car was out of warranty that the factory would not cover the cost and therefore it would cost me 1100.00 dollars to repair it. I contacted there consumer affairs division to ask them for assistance and they refuse to offer any help, showing no concern for the fact that i could have been kill due to a design failure on that seat.

The contact owns a 2006 infinity m35x. The contact stated that the driver's side seat frame fractured and caused the seat to lean in backward. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure and current mileage was 87,000. Kmj

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to infiniti of orange park (6999 blanding blvd, jacksonville, fl 32244) to be repaired under an air bags recall. After picking up the vehicle, the contact became aware that the seat had been pushed back all the way while the recall repair was being performed. The contact was unable to adjust the driver's side front seat forward or up and down, which made driving the vehicle difficult. The contact was informed that there was a cost to repair the seat. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

When the vehicle is moving, acceleration of moving causes the seat to move backwards and forwards. This can be dangerous, perhaps leading to major failure in accident, or with hard braking.

The seat detached from the track and slid dangerously while driving. The plastic near the floorboard has collapsed and makes clicking sounds when the seat is moved.

I was driving my vehicle and all ofa sudden i heard a noise and then the chair leaned to the right while i was driving and then shortly afterwards collapsed and found myself very low.i quickly pulled over to see what happened.it seemed that the assembly underneath the chair had collapsed.to continue to drive, i had to use several pillows to sit on to reach a height for normal driving. When i took it to the shop, the mechanic told me the seat assembly has completely malfunctioned and that i need a new chair with the assembly.he also told me that he heard about this problem in the infinitycars.i believe this is a safety haphazard and i was lucky that i was on a city street not driving fast and was able to quickly pull over and inspect the issue.if i was driving 60 miles an hour on a freeway and the seat suddenly leans to the right and then collapses, that could have potentially been a safety haphazard.

Driver seat moves forward and back under braking and back under acceleration. While braking it will push the driver closer to the steering wheel and could cause harm to ones self with the seat belt.

When driving and coming to a stop/ brakingmy driver seat slides to the front and then slides back. My foot slipped off the pedal and good thing nobody was in front of me at the time. This is a real hazard when driving and coming to a stop. The seat feels like its going to slide off track. Please somebody look into this there are too many complaints for this not to be addressed.infiniti owner

Driver seat leaning toward the door and loose. Weld broke from frame. Very dangerous to drive.

Vehicle started shifting to right of the road. Paid for wheel alignment. Purchased set of new tires at around 115000 miles. Now at 130,000 miles dealer tells me that my rack and pinion is leaking and could result in sudden inoperable vehicle. The part can only be purchased from infiniti and approximate cost is around $1450.00 plus $500-$700 to install!!

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that while attempting to engage the brakes, the brake system failed causing the contact to crash into the rear end of the proceeding vehicle. A police report was filed and no injuries were reported. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 171,140.

My first problem is the brake pedal broke for no reason. The dealer informed me a new one would be at a cost to me at over 350.00$. My second problem is a seat weld broke, i have not gone in for that problem yet but i'm sure it will be at a cost time as well.

2006 infiniti m35 with brake problems**ccthe consumer stated while driving on a flat run way, when the brakes were applied, the vehicle pulled to the left.

I just bought a brand new 2006 infiniti m35 on october of 2005 from miller ifiniti in the city of van nuys ca. I barely have 3 months with this car and the brakes are already squeaking. I called the service department and spoke to carl miller (manager of the service department) and advised in detail of the "squeaking problem of my vehicle" he literally told me "quote on quote" to get on the freeway and on the way out of the exit to brake really hard - that would supposedly fixed the problem. I said no, i told him that i was going to take my car in for him to check it, then he said, that it would not matter because, he would tell me the same thing once i got there (basically, send me back home). The brakes are squeaking really bad to be such a new car. I refuse to put myself or my family in danger following the procedures given from carl miller (service manager). I seriously think, there is something wrong with the brakes/discs of this models (i believe that this is a safety issue that should be resolved right away). According to carl miller this is normal protocol for such problems. I refuse to believe that infinti supposedly a luxury brand expects the customer to do this horrendous procedure due to their poorly made vehicles (poor engineering). If this problem is not resolved, i will never again buy from infiniti. In the future i look forward to lexus and acura real luxury vehicles.

2006 infiniti m35x is very difficult to keep in lane at highway speeds. Car wants to pull left or right and requires heavy steering effort to correct and maintain position in lane. So severe that hands are sore after several hours of driving. This has been an on-going problem.tires have been replaced and four wheel alignment checked. Neither had any impact on issue.

My car vibrates when i'm driving even at 40mph, it started with only the steering shaking, now it has progressed to a point where my and the safety of my family is at risk. It is at the point where driving over the smallest crack or dent a the physically sway or make my car beer off course.

While driving the car will not stay on the road, you have to keep both hands on the wheel, and it is still back and fourth. Have had new tires put om and alignment done, did not help the problem. This happens at all speeds but is worse on the highway over 50mph.

Vehicle started shifting to right of the road. Paid for wheel alignment. Purchased set of new tires at around 115000 miles. Now at 130,000 miles dealer tells me that my rack and pinion is leaking and could result in sudden inoperable vehicle. The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35.while driving approximately 55 mph on uneven road surfaces, the vehicle unexpectedly pulled to the left without assistance.the vehicle turned in the opposite direction of the intended steering.the vehicle has not been diagnosed for the malfunction.the contact is in the process of taking the vehicle to the dealer for repair.the failure and current mileages were 28,000.

2006 infiniti m35 steering issue. I replaced the tires had a alignment and the car stillhas a trembling issue.

The contact owns a 2006 m35 infiniti. The contact stated the steering wheel began to jerk when she made wide turns to the left and right. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who stated the failure was located within the rack and pinion. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. The approximate current mileage was 86,000.

Vehicle will lunge from left to right at highway speeds and under braking.just like many other complaints new tires, balancing, alignments will fix the problem for a short amount of time before erratic steering returns.it requires constant correction to keep the vehicle in your lane.also under heavy braking the car will pull left or right.new brake pads have been installed on all four corners which only gives temporary relief.

I own a 2006 infiniti m35 sport with 43,000 miles that is exhibiting erratic and very alarming steering characteristics. At highway speeds, braking to a stop, or riding over uneven roads the steering will pull very hard to the left or right (inconsistently) to the point where i must actively and constantly work to keep it centered (tire pressure is at spec and ~2/3 tread depth left). I have heard that this is called "tramlining".please help look into this before a serious accident takes someone's life.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My 2006 infiniti m35 will not steer straight while driving. Depending on the road it will at time almost force me into another lane. This is a know issue on all m35 cars, and a very dangerous one at that.

In march of 2014, while driving over 200 miles to a conference, i began to notice that my 2006 infiniti m35 was pulling me to the left and to the right.hitting a bump or a pothole would make it very easy to lose control.being that i was in a different city, i was not familiar with local automotive technicians to assist me in determining the exact cause.this led me to purchase a whole new set of tires and a front end alignment.however, months later, the problem still exists.i am afraid that this pulling will have the potential to cause a very bad accident.i also changed out my struts because i also had the bouncing action going on, but to no avail, the problem still exists.there is definitely something seriously wrong.could you all look into addressing this issue before it has to cost someone their life?

The car loses control and steering shakes violent (trammeling) bump steer.

2006 infiniti m35 x loss of control of steering. Car would pull both left and right while driving at highway speeds. Had to pull car off the highway and steering issues persisted. Learned of other reports on infiniti m35x steering by researching on internet. Referred to issue as tramlining. This problem should be addressed by infiniti as loss of steering could result in death or other serious injury.*cw

My 2006 infiniti m35x drives real jerky darting to the left and right constantly whenever the road is the least bit uneven. I really like my car but the worse the darting gets i am becoming more concerned for my passengers safety as well as my own. After reading some of these reviews i don't think a newer version would be a good idea.

My 06 infiniti m35x likes to wander over uneven road surfaces which requires constant corrections to keep the car on its true path.purchased vehicle used with new tires, passed inspection but seems there is a problem with the steering system in the vehicle.

I have a 2006 infiniti m35x. I've had it for about a year. Ever since i purchased it, i have noticed sudden jerking in the steering wheel. The car seems to be "all over the road" i've brought it in to have it serviced/looked at, they tell me nothing is wrong. When i drive the vehicle, i most certainly can tell something is seriously wrong! it's dangerous, the way the vehicle pulls from left to right, in and out of lanes. I've done some research online and have learned that many many other people are having the same problems. Many of which are blaming a faulty steering rack. This is a very dangerous flaw with the infiniti m35. I have had alignments and brand new tires. Neither of these are the problem. It seems this problem has been going on for quite sometime with several complaints and it doesn't seem like anyone is doing anything about it. After lots of research, i think it is imperative that someone look into a possible recall on the steering rack of the infiniti m35 models 2006-2009, as these are the years which look to be having the same problems.

Car steers very irratically at times pulling left or right on uneven road surfaces.also makes groaning sounds when turning steering wheel

When coming to stops vehicle front end steers to either side of road, as if front steering system is loose. When driving at highway speeds car wants to wonder and must constantly correct direction of steering as im driving.

The vehicle groging noise when making a right turn likew there is something rubbing the rack/pinion which can be felt in the steering wheel. Its really bad in the morning when the car is cold but even when the cars warm at times its really bad.

2006 infiniti mx35 steering problems. Consumer states that other owners have the same steering problems.*njthe dealer stated that all aspects of the steering system tested normally.

I have an '06 infiniti m35x. The steering bucked and rolled and generally moved erratically along the highway. It was pretty regular. The tires were replaced-reduced the action-but not completely. There is something wrong w/the steering of this machine.

Car pulls to each side of the road with the slightest unevenness of surface.it is a struggle to keep the car going straight if road is not new and even.

2006 infiniti m35x.steering pulls left and/or right for no apparent reason on good roads and bad. Dealer says, 'it's not a problem.'new tires. No difference.new alignment. No difference.

I own a 2006 infiniti m35-s which suffers from tramlining. The car is very difficult to control on rutted or crowned roads, and when approaching at stoplight atspeeds as low as 10mph, the car will yank itself into the next lane over, requiring me to counter steer it.my dealer claims this is normal for a car of this type, but i also own a g35 of the same year which doesn't have this issue.this problem has been reported numerous times for this model year and later, yet no recall or advisory has been posted.

Infinity m35 [xxxxxx]i love my infinity and would like to keep it and drive many more miles, but i have 3 issues1) tramlining - car moves left and right, hard to drive, a safety concern2) interior dash and cracks and detonating, needs replacing3) interior headliner is sagging and need replacingwhat are my options? can nissan help me out with these repairs?thank you for responding![xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'

My 2006 infiniti m35x will unexpectedly wonder across lanes.sometimes it goes straight then suddenly it will veer right or left.i have taken it to the dealer and verified the alignment was correct.dealer told me try new tires, which i did.nothing corrects the issue.i have found many many discussions on this issue and it appears a faulty rack and pinion but the company will not replace it unless you still have warranty left.this is a major safety issue and almost resulted in an accident many times.my wife now refuses to drive the car as it pulled her off the road.

My vehicle constantly pulls left and right at high speeds with the slightest road imperfection. There is something wrong with the design of the vehicle. I have the vehicle aligned, tires replaced with a different brand and aired up to the proper pressure. It is not a problem with the tires, but with the vehicle itself. It is very dangerous and infinit won't do anything to help.

Car makes loud noises on slow right turns.sounds as if the metal is grinding under the body of the car.

A various times and under varying conditions my vehicle will dart to one side or the other.quick steering correction has been required to keep the vehicle from departing the lane of traffic.this will happen without warning and has on numerous occasions nearly lead to a collision.

This car will follow every dip or rut in the road and will pull the wheel hard to right and left main it dangerous to drive if both hands are tightly gripping the wheel.new tires help the problem for a while but then it started back up after the tires get worn in again.

**steering issue.****when coming to stops doing local driving, vehicle front end steers to either side of road, but more so to the right. It often feels as thou front steering system is loose. When driving at highway speeds it is even worst, car wants to pull to left or right aggressively and requires constant correction of direction of steering as im driving.living in nyc where road quality isn't exactly peachy, this is dangerous issue. I've changed tires and got an alignment, however the issue still remains. Reported it to the dealership, but was not given any resolution to the issue. The new tires and alignment did not correct the issue. There needs to be a proper investigation into this matter and a recall done. Especially if it turns out that so many people are reporting the issue. Such a large number of customers cant be doing something wrong and have the same issue.

The car steering is unstable and can't go straight on the uneven pavement. It goes to right or left by itself. The alignment doesn't fix the problem. The new set of tire doesn't fix the problem.totally, the driving feeling is unsafe.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle began to veer to the left without warning. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

Steering problem with 2006 infiniti m35x. Car has severe tramiling or tracking problem. Car swerves to left and right dramatically when crossing crown in highway or traveling over rutted or uneven road surfaces. This condition has caused many near accidents for myself and my wife. Dealer claims that it is the way the car is supposed to handle. We have tried other tires and alianments to no avail.

Bought car in oct/2008. After first month noticed erratic steering problems. Searched online and found several others who had same problem. Car pulls to right or left very erratically even on smooth flat roads. Took car to only infiniti dealership 3 times. They drove car and suggested i buy new tires before they would look at any steering issues. The tires that were on the car only had 3000 miles on them.replaced tires anyway with second set.car still had same problems. Took car back to dealership, tech drove 6 miles and said nothing was wrong with the car.called infiniti consumer affairs to notify of the problem and poor service from infiniti dealership.consumer affairs spoke with dealership and both refused to fix the car.this car is under factory warranty with an extended warranty and was told that this steering is normal for the car and they were not going to fix it.i even gave them contact info for other dealers that have replaced parts on other cars for the same problem.this car is unsafe.dealer did not take time put on the rack to inspect or properly test drive. Terrible dealership with terrible service!!

Vehicle tracks sporadically to both left and right sides when driving on highway. Feels like driving on train tracks and constantly jumping track. Creates a very dangerous situation because car pulls fiercely in either direction at will.

Car drives fine until there is any kind of small bumps, indentations, potholes, etc on the road. Once it hits an area that is not 100% flat the steering goes crazy. Even when changing lanes and you drive over one of the reflectors on the road to mark traffic lanes the car will move severely one direction and force you to make a hard and fast correction to avoid hitting something or someone. I have almost hit curbs, center dividers, other cars, and concrete construction walls on multiple occasions.while this problem happens in a significant way at higher speeds, it happens even more so at lower speeds.

I have a 2006 infiniti m35 all wheel drive with 109,000 miles. The vehicle will randomly wander and pull from left to right. During casual driving, the vehicle will sometimes pull so abruptly that it causes me to leave the lane. I fear that one day this could cause an accident. The pulling occurs on a daily basis. I have new tires, new brakes, and the vehicle is in proper order.this has been happening ever since i got the car 50,000 miles ago.

The power steering rack and bushings have been replaced twice on my vehicle when i turn corners or back out of parking spaces it causes leaking and loud noise

When making right turns the steering vibrates and loud noise. The issue is the steering rack on awd models. Infiniti canada did not want to replace it since my vehicle is out of warranty by 5000km. I have a big concern that at some point the steering rack might fail and lead to a crash. This issue should definitely be covered by infiniti. There are numerous reports of this problem, and infiniti even has a technical bulletin regarding this problem, and an updated part that is supposed to fix the issue. The price of the part alone is 1000$, and i think that infiniti should cover the costs, because it is a factory warranty.

Normal driving on highway the car suddenly pulled to the left moving in to the oncoming traffic lane then pulled side to side. Aggressive counter steering and slowing down was required to get the car to straighten out.dry road 65 mph this is apparently a recurring problem with m35's.fortunately the oncoming lane was clear or there would have been a head on. This is a serious defect which should be forced to be corrected by infiniti.had a previous experience like this and replaced the tires and got an alignment.this did not help it is a steering system problem.this is a serious recurring steering control problem that is well documented by owners on blogs and owner sites like http://forums.nicoclub.complease note that there are a relatively few number of m35x models on the road so high accident rates are not going to be apparent.this should be a recalled item now.

2006 infiniti m35 sport.tramlining issue.car pulls to left when driving.i get wheel alignments performed, and seems to help for about 1000 miles, then the car does the tramlining issue again.

Tramlining on infiniti m35x.

I purchased an infinity m35 pulls to the right and the dealership is not able to fix it.i am concerned about my safetythe dealership fixed the alignment, rotated the tires, they tell me it's fixed, but after each service for this problem, the problem is unchanged.there needs to be a recall to fix this problem as apparently this is a known problem at infinity and many people have complained on google.please take action as i am concerned for my family's safety.

I own a 2006 infiniti m35 x (44,000 miles) that is exhibiting very alarming steering characteristics. At highway speeds, braking to a stop, or riding over uneven roads the steering will pull very hard to the left or right (inconsistently) to the point where i must actively and constantly work to keep it centered (tire pressure is at spec).i have been to the dealerabout the issue but the say that they don't see a problem. It has been exhibiting this issue since i purchased the car.it is not just a one time thing but everytime drive the car.

I have a 2006 infiniti m35 all wheel drive with 49,000 miles. The vehicle will randomly wander and pull from left to right at freeway speeds. During casual driving, the vehicle will sometimes pull so abruptly that it causes me to leave the lane. I fear that one day this could lead to an accident. The pulling occurs on a daily basis. I have new tires, new brakes, and the vehicle is in proper order. As an ase certified master mechanic, i feel i am qualified to say that this condition is dangerous, and infiniti should offer some sort of recall.

I own a 2006 infiniti m35x and this car suffers terribly from erratic handling, often referred to as tramlining.this car is almost uncontrollable on rutted or crowned roads at any speed and requires constant corrective steering to avoid having this car 'dart' into the oncoming traffic or off the highway completely.my wife will not drive this car because of this defect.this problem has been reported numerous times for this model year and later, yet no recall or advisory has been posted.this design flaw will kill, and probably has killed, someone if it is not corrected.dealers frequently attribute this to tire type/brand, tire wear, or alignment but the comments of others posting make it clear that these are not solutions.the problem persists after these steps are taken.the steering rack design is flawed and only after this is replaced does this problem go away.

Steering tramlines on uneven pavement causing unpredictable vehicle handling.

I bought a used m35x and the car since i purchases has a problem with the steering tracking when on the highway.the car tracks to the bumps in the road and pulls you out of the lane.to counter you need to dramatically pull the wheel back to counter.something isn't right with the car design or set-up.i have new tires and alignment and this still didn't correct the issue fully.

Steering difficult to control.dealer installed new steering rack.. Seems to have cured problem.

The dashboard in my vehicle is melting. There is a glare that blinds me and the dash above the steering wheel melts so bad and gets so hot it burns my fingers while driving. I try to avoid touching it but i forget sometimes. I shouldn't have to avoid getting burned while driving.

Takata recall repair was done on 7/8/17 at the infiniti dealers in marietta, georgia. As a result my dashboard was damaged on the passanger side near the the bunt on the dashboard. The damage was not there before the work was done. I was so upset about this! i was not informed that damage would occur due to the repairs that needed to be done for the airbag replacement. I had no idea what would happen. Got my car and a bolt was left lying on the floor. I did make the service representative wells walker and he said they used another bolt they couldn't find that one but it was right on the passenger side floor?! the dashboard had some cracks but nothing like what the pieced together and gave me my car back. This is a direct result from replacing the airbag. Why is it going yo cost me?? i did not break my dashboard. Help. What can i do?

The under body or frame near the rear is rusted away so the car seems to lose traction when i drive over small bump or cracks in the road. I took it to the shop and they said it was part of the body..

While driving the car will not stay on the road, you have to keep both hands on the wheel, and it is still back and fourth. Have had new tires put om and alignment done, did not help the problem. This happens at all speeds but is worse on the highway over 50mph.

2006 m35 sport pulled to the right when braking or hitting a bump.when this occurred the consumer lost some control of the vehicle.

Typical nissan front axle failure. Apparently it's very common. It started as a small noise and now the entire right side of my front axle is destroyed. It's a very common issue with nissan and infiniti cars with 4wd. Sadly there is no recall.

When driving over a section of rutted road the car moves unpredictably and strongly to both left and right requiring constant steering adjustments to keep it straight. This causes a hazard in heavy traffic.

My car vibrates when i'm driving even at 40mph, it started with only the steering shaking, now it has progressed to a point where my and the safety of my family is at risk. It is at the point where driving over the smallest crack or dent a the physically sway or make my car beer off course.

My 06 infiniti m35x likes to wander over uneven road surfaces which requires constant corrections to keep the car on its true path.purchased vehicle used with new tires, passed inspection but seems there is a problem with the steering system in the vehicle.

The car loses control and steering shakes violent (trammeling) bump steer.

The under body or frame near the rear is rusted away so the car seems to lose traction when i drive over small bump or cracks in the road. I took it to the shop and they said it was part of the body..

Car steers very irratically at times pulling left or right on uneven road surfaces.also makes groaning sounds when turning steering wheel

1.went in for brake work and afterwards, the front wheel bearing started to make noises. Took back to dealer and was instructed that the front wheel bearing was bad.2. Bad front wheel bearing, seems to occur quite often on infiniti m series models. The consequence is that the bearing could lock up and either throw the vehicle off path from the direction being traveled and potentially overheat and catch fire. 3. The part was replaced, but i do believe this is way premature for wheel bearings to be going out. Brakes, i understand, but not wheel bearings.

2006 infiniti m35x left rear tire went flat. Consumer states that the tire pressure warning light illuminated but instead of the tire being low it was flat. Vehicle would not allow him to exceed 30 mph with a spare tire on.the consumer stated the vehicle was undrivable with the spare tire and requested that a full size spare tire with a rim be installed.

The dashboard in my car is cracking, breaking off even seems to be melting in areas. My car is garaged at our home.there are countless examples on how my car looks. Already documented on your website.the cost to replace the dashboard is $2000.i understand that there is a class action case taking place in florida, instead of bogging down the courthouses shouldn't the manufacturers be required to stand up and do the right thing for the consumers who made a purchase in good faith.

Driving onto ramp to get on highway and seat bracket broke and sunk me back. Lost control momentarily.

It's simple my fans are not working at all when i turn my a.c. On my car runs hot when i cut it of the temperature comes down as i drive but today my car went so hot that my car turned off and i don't know what is causing my fans to not work please help i can't get to work at all.

The dashboard is cracking the driver seat bind with center console passenger air bag malfunction

Took car into infiniti dealer for airbag recall and they damaged and cracked dash board.their were no visible cracks before until i got my car back.showed to service manger and he said that dash had cracks in it already, which i know isn't true.any help ob this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Infiniti claims that they don't want me to have a passenger ride with me until the parts are received to fix it this fall, but that is not an option.i feel they should provide an alternative vehicle until the vehicle is fixed.

Dt*:the contact stated while applying the brakes the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warning.the sudden acceleration caused the vehicle to crash into a concrete wall, causing a minor knee injury.the vehicle was towed to the dealership as a precaution.upon inspection the dealership was unable to duplicate the problem.the problem occurred on multiple occasions and was inspected each time.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle accelerated rapidly without warning while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact had to keep depressing the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from accelerating. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 152,000.

Vin tool confirms parts not available.

I was backing into my driveway, when i stepped on the brake the car accelerated and did not stop until it hit a concrete wall in my backyard, knocking it down.i contacted infiniti consumer affairs.i was advised not to move the car, a dealer technician would be sent to look at the car.finally, almost two months later, on 11/1 i had the car towed toa dealership and the technician looked at it on 11/2.all he did was drive the car, he did not do any diagnostic testing.i am still waiting for the results.i am very disappointed with inifiniti'scustomer service, it stinks. My insurance co., state farm, which i thought i could depend on to get things done, such as demanding more detailed testing, etc., did nothing.no one seems concerned with the fact that someone could be seriously injured or killed as a result of this problem.i am terrified of having to drive that car again.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti m35. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure recurred. These defective parks keeps making the idle jump and sometimes stall. I keep replacing them to see if they are bad but will not clear the check engine light.

My infiniti m35x accelerated unexpectedly during parking causing me to crash into a building and resulting in $10k worth of vehicular damage.the impact jarred me such that i temporarily became disoriented and was unsure of "what just happened."a second incident of such nature occurred when the car unexpectedly accelerated, almost causing the vehicle to careen over a railing at a local shopping center.in the former instance there was no property or physical damage.the vehicle often surges without pressure to the gas pedal or when pressing the brake.

While driving on a freeway at low rate of speed (rush hour) i have experienced engine stall condition.all warning lights went on,including brake indicator. I was able to shift gear into park position and shut the vehicle down. After a couple minutes, i restarted the engine and drived home.that was one scary moment.

I have a 2006 infiniti m35 with 42k miles. While driving, the engine stopped responding to the accelerator. I pushed the accelerator to the floor and tried pumping the pedal and nothing. The engine sat at an idle and would not respond.as i approached a stop light with stopped traffic and began to apply the brakes, the car began to accelerate by itself.let me be clear that i was applying the brakes and felt the brakes beginning to slow the vehicle when the engine began to race.i was able to overcome the engine trying to accelerate and bring the car to a stop without impacting other traffic.but, i was sitting parked at the stop light with the brake mashed to the floor while the engine tachometer continued to register 2500 rpms.i managed to make it to the nearby dealership where i bought the vehicle.along the way, the engine rpms continued to jump erratically causing sudden uncontrolled acceleration.the dealership performed diagnostics on the car and determined that the throttle position sensor had failed and was sending erroneous data to the car?s computer.in my view, this vehicle has fundamental engineering and design flaws that present a risk to the larger public when a sensor failure can cause sudden uncontrolled acceleration.moreover, when applying the brakes does not override the programming logic and stop the engine from racing, there is obviously a greater opportunity for improved safety logic.while, i managed to safely navigate the resulting hazards this time, next time i may not be so lucky.

The wipers make 6 sweeps then freeze up. Hazardous if it rains!

I got in the car this morning and my sunroof was fine. I pulled out of my parking spot and that was when i heard this cracking sound. I got to my destination which was less than 1/2 mile away, i parked the car got out and took my daughter into school.there was nothing on above my car, i parked in an open area.when i got back in the car and closed the door it sounded as if glass popped from somewhere.i got out looked at the roof and my sunroof has a crack along the front and there is a hole that looks like someone took their fist from inside the car and punched it towards the sky. I drove back home trying to see if i could find any indication of how this could have happened because i was just in the car less than an hour ago and my car was fine.i went online to search exploding sunroofs and that's when i found thousands of complaints for nissan and infiniti as well as other makes and modes.my husband immediately called manhattan infiniti and explained the situation and was told that they had never received any type of bulletin about it and they would know if this was an issue.they went on to say that my car was out of warranty so this wouldn't be covered.my issue is that this isn't a warranty complaint there is clearly something defective with the sunroof and i'm not the only one having this issue.i feel thatdealer should cover this.i shouldn't have to go to someone else when this is clearly a manufacturing default.this could have caused a major accident if i had the sunroof open or even cracked as the glass would have fell in the car while i was driving and hit me or my children.

Vehicle tracks sporadically to both left and right sides when driving on highway. Feels like driving on train tracks and constantly jumping track. Creates a very dangerous situation because car pulls fiercely in either direction at will.
